London Marriott Hotel Kensington

I'd recommend this hotel simply for the location. Easy access to the subway and lots to do. The staff was friendly and helpful. They were very accommodating of my early arrival and very helpful with directions. The public areas of the hotel were very chilly, however, and staying on the ground floor, it seemed at times as though I could hear the subway running between Gloucester and Earls Court. A white noise machine eliminated this issue. Will stay there again in my future travels!

This was our first time in London and what an amazing stay! The hotel is central to everything we wanted to do and see. A quick 5 minute walk to the Underground in either direction and we caught the main subways to all sights and attractions. The hotel staff was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. Paying for executive lounge access plus wifi for 40 pounds a night was totally worth it. It included breakfast in the morning in the lounge or restaurant and beer/wine and canapes in the evening. We looked forward to it every day. I don't think I have ever had such an amazing stay at a hotel. Definitely a great place to stay while in London that is close to everything but slightly away from the hustle and bustle of all the tourists and such.

The hotel does not look like a typical Marriott hotel. The lobby is small, the corridor is small and the room is small. However, the hotel is clean and quiet.

Very spacious and clean room. Very polite staff. The breakfast buffet was very nice and offered alot of options.

Very nice hotel with great staff. The pre-paid breakfast was spectacular. Service was all around good.

The room was very nice and generously sized compared to other European hotels I have stayed in. The location is very convenient to underground and taxi transportation. The staff was very helpful with questions. There was a problem with the air-conditioning system but the hotel accomodated with fans and COLD water. There is an ice machine on the floor which I appreciated greatly. Breakfast in the restaurant had a wide selection of items, but I thought the price was a bit high.

Went for a short weekend (Friday to Sunday). Found service outstanding; food good (room service and at restaurant). Great location. Would stay again next time I am in London.

THe Marriott Kensington was in a good location, not in the center of tourists spots but in a nice quiet neighborhood. There were several nice, reasonably priced restaurants within walking distance. The tube was a short walk. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast buffet was very good. Nice for family and business.

Your basic Marriott at a reasonable price. Marriott Bed was the main draw and it didn't let me down. Location close to Underground and in a pleasant area. Staff lacked personality and warmth but was functional. Major gripe is that the card attached to the room phone suggested using an outside service for international calls. This service turned out to be 300% higher per minute charge than what I experienced at other hotels in the UK (admittedly, the rest were not in London, but 300%?). This was not a Marriott service, but I trusted their advice. I will hold them accountable by not choosing their hotels for my several business trips.
