Great location and very nice view!

Perfect weekend getaway! My wife and I enjoyed the view and location of this very nice 2 bedroom overlooking the Cape fear river. It is walking distance to anything you will need. Gene was very responsive and helpful getting checked in and out.. We will be back soon!

Marvelous views & Location downtown

Spacious, clean, great views, wonderful mattress, Great layout, comfortable. I did not understand that it had a very limited kitchen with a small refrigerator, sink, and two burner cooktop. But it turned out that it didn't really matter because it is so close to many restaurants.

Spacious luxury - great location !

Our little family enjoyed the PERFECT mix of city: closeness to quality restaurants and bars on the one side MIXED with serene views and privacy from our balconies on the other side of the place. Spacious and good quality all around ! Plenty of communication and directions to make it happen. We'll be back !

This property is beautiful: beautiful view of the river; amazingly clean and spacious; accommodations perfect for a weekend getaway (or longer); simply perfect in every way!! Great Location

Very cool place to stay. The Art Deco style was very nice. The main area was reminiscent of an old theatre. The location was perfect. It is a couple of blocks from our favorite spots. Friday we went to Front Street Brewery and Pour Taproom. Saturday after the St. Patrick's Day parade we ate at Bourbon Street then rode the trolley to Waterline Brewing. We went back to the apartment for a break then to Island Fresh Mex that night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Weekend Family Visit

The property is beautifully decorated in art deco style and the view of the Riverwalk and battleship cannot be beaten. Owner supplied all the items needed and even provided nice extras (candy, coffee, water, etc). Location is ideal - you can walk to downtown hotspots and restaurants. Read the welcome packet since this property requires photo IDs prior to arrival. Door lock was tricky at first, but owner immediately assisted me. We had a terrific weekend.

Swanky little river place

We came in for the weekend to a great location and view in Wilmington. The River Street Retreat was impressive! The room was clean; however, inside a kitchen cabinet were pizza boxes and 2 small trashcans full of trash from previous tenants. This also was an odd check-in process and not as quick friendly responses I am accustomed to with VRBO. The location was perfect and truly the condo was great. I would stay again.

Great Location, Nice Condo

Very comfortable and clean condo. The owner supplied wine, chocolates, water, and coffee. Just be aware that the parking situation is a bit challenging, which is not surprising given that downtown Wilmington has more visitors than parking spaces! But you will need to walk a couple of blocks to get to the parking garage, and loading and unloading at the condo is not super easy. But it is well worth it

Perfect location

Landlord could brush up on guest relations.. He was kind of rude and snippy on 2 occasions. I never got a code to get in and he got short with me. Then we couldn't figure out the foldout and he wouldn't help. hhhhelphehelp.help.help.us

Great location but needs some issues addressed

Let me just start by saying that you cannot beat the location of this place. Loved waking up and drinking coffee overlooking the river. Just beautiful. Super convenient to downtown and the restaurants. However, I will say that the smell that a previous review stated is still a very real problem. Immediately when you walk in, it smelled like, what I perceived as, dead sea something. The smell got stronger in the master bedroom and even strong in the master bath. We spent 15 minutes trying to locate where the smell was coming from and finally figured out it was a wet bathmat that was left in the master bath. We promptly removed it to one of the balconies and within a few hours the smell dissipated. Also, the listing states there is a dishwasher, there is none and when this was inquired with the host, they never responded. I will say the above issues are super easy fixes if the host wants to take the time.

Great location to enjoy Wilmington!

The unit was very nicely decorated, modern and clean. The location to all the fun of downtown Wilmington and the views were awesome. Only minor negatives would be distance of parking space and no dishwasher. Otherwise it was equipped very well. We enjoyed our stay.

Great location and host but bad smell

The location was as promised but we did not realize the provided free parking was only for one car and was in a lot more than a block away from the property. We arrived to 80%+ humidity in the property with a mildewy smell. The wine glasses were pretty dirty and the towels smelled of mildew the moment they got wet. The master bedroom also had a moldy urine smell that began in the attached bathroom. The beds were very hard. Just 2 stiff mattresses pushed together to make a “king” bed that left our backs hurting the next day. Again the location and host were amazing! But the place definitely wasn’t as comfortable as we expected.

Review

Overall good experience. I would have liked it if a request for picture ids was done sooner. Probably around time of actual lease approval. Also found the lock to the condo challenging. Initially after viewing video still took several attempts to get into condo. Glad there was a key available to use as well. Otherwise condo was lovely. Great view of river.

Great location with tons of ammenities.. Check in was a bit stressful with only 15 min in the loading zone and getting the parking key out of the room.
