Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton, Downtown Vancouver

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Hotel was just a short taxi ride from where the cruise ships dock. It was centrally located in downtown Vancouver. The hop on hop off sightseeing bus stopped right outside the hotel so we were able to get an overview of the high points in Vancouver. The hotel was very clean and quiet so I was able to get a good nights rest. Breakfast was a nice touch. It was nice to be able to grab something to eat before heading off to the airport.

Room was very nice. Sauna was nice. Continental breakfast was very generous, but pretty average quality. Staff was a little awkward when we checked in, but super friendly when we checked out. Not sure if I'd stay there again. The vibe was a little off.

We went to Vancouver for the Paul McCartney concert. The hotel provides a complementary shuttle to downtown sites. We used it to go to the aquarium, Granville Island, and Stanley Park. We would stay here again.

Loved it - staff very helpful and nice. Would definitely stay here again.

Location is great for BC place events. The little kitchen area in the room was a nice plus, as was the larger fridge and daily bottled water.

We spent 3 nights here and had a great time in Vancouver. The room was clean and comfortable. The view from the room was no big deal, but the room from the game/spa room was lovely. Security was good and the breakfast was awesome! We had no problems getting cabs. We walked to Gastown from here with no problem.

Clean, efficient, spacious, convenient - what more can I ask for?

We met with friends we had not seen in almost 40 years. They picked us up at 9.00am and after a grand tour of the city and local area, including the famous Stanley Park, North and West Vancouver, British Properties, Horseshoe Bay including all those ferries. Entertained to both lunch and din ner, what more can either want or say! Except- Vancouver is the most trractive city in this world, and we have seen most of them.

It was seamless to get there. Spent a long day out and appreciated a restful night.

Good location, updated rooms, clean and friendly service at a reasonable rate. Includes a good hot breakfast which is a savings for families. Although no pool is a drawback. They also have a free taxi service to get you to your destinations. The hotel is within a few walking blocks of Gastown, Yaletown and Robson shopping area. Although China Town is close, a fast drive through confirmed it is no longer a tourist destination.

We like that it was in the middle of downtown. We also really enjoyed the breakfast. We missed eggs since we started traveling, and Hamptons had eggs!

The rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They exchanged small amounts of American cash for Canadian, which was very convenient. The free breakfast and bottled water were a nice plus, as was the ping-pong table in the fitness room.

With the exception of a few staff, the service was excellent. One staff member was particularly helpful in providing information about restaurants and other points of interest in the area. Hotel is adjacent to BC Place and within walking distance of Yaletown and some excellent restaurants. There is a YMCA hostel across the street that serves clients that have a tendency to hang out in the evening. However, this can be fairly easily avoided by walking on other nearby streets.

Front desk was very helpful with our questions. Their offer to hold our bags while we toured(after we checked out) Vancouver made for a very enjoyable stay.
