Hotel Monterey Ginza

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Hotel is in a good location in Ginza. Old looking style, very clean. People was very kind. Is is a good option for business. Rooms are small as all rooms in Japan, but they have everything you need.

Overall I love the hotel,,I will surely recommend to friends

This hotel is close to the Tokyo metro and some of the tourist attractions like Imperial Palace and Gardens. I also liked that couple of good Vegan friendly restaurants were walkable as well as Saké No Ana (awesome Saké drinking izakaya bar).

No concierge in the lobby made our vacation a nightmare. We had to go to other hotels looking for tours and nice places to visit. Staff don't speak enough English to answer my questions.

Great deal in the heart of Ginza. Not the closest to a lot of the tourist places but great location for shopping, eating and relaxing.

The hotel is nicely located in the center of town, but the price vs the size of the rooms makes it too expensive. You literary have 2 single beds divided by the nightstand and no room to walk around them. The hotel is clean and the staff is polite.

It was a one night stay and I enjoyed it. The staff was great and friendly, the room was clean, and the location of the hotel is perfect.

The hotel location was great but the rooms were smaller than I expected and the lobby area looked dated. The staff was quite friendly and helpful at all times.

The hotel is located a few blocks away from Ginza street. The room is not big, but comfortable. I highly recommend the hotel to others.

You get good value for your money. Not fancy and definitely not a roach hotel. We got what we expected.

This hotel is a great value. I was a bit apprehensive about booking with a relatively inexpensive hotel in Tokyo. We are TALL people, and I was afraid that the beds would be tiny and the room area also tiny. We were VERY HAPPY to find that the twin beds were extra long and also wider than standard twins in the US. The room was roomy and well appointed and the staff was excellent.

Get the hotel based on the review and price for Ginza area hotel. It is surprisingly above our expectation for location. The room is a bit small so order bigger room if you need more space.

Small bit comfortable. Great location close to shopping, restaurants, a metro stop, and the big Tokyo train station.

English level was OK, but not great. The rooms were small, but that's typical in our limited experience in Japan. The wireless internet in the rooms was very spotty and clearly lacked sufficient capacity.

Love it a lot. 3 metro stations around-easy access to any directions. Good staff and service.

The location was great. The room was clean. The price was reasonable.

The hotel is very well located in the Ginza area, not far from Tokyo station. Our first room had a strong musky smell. We could not stay in it. The did move us to a much better room. At first they wanted to charge us more, but ultimately did not. The hotel does not have a concierge, but the desk staff was very helpful.

My mom and I stayed here for one night. The room was small but probably average for Tokyo standard. However, it had everything we needed and only one subway stop away from the Tokyo station. We could walk to all the shops at Ginza as well as the Fish market.

Hotel is very nice. The location is perfect: several subway stations are withing few minutes of walk. One block to the main street - Ginza. Across the street there are 3 food stores with good selection of food if you need at any time of day or night. Plenty restaurants near hotel. Very safe area. Staff is very friendly and speak English. There is 24 hrs BBC channel on TV. Very good free Wi-Fi connection. Twin room is larger than double. Closet space could be better. Room was extremely clean. Bathroom is well organized and very efficient.
