i got a premier king room which is a bit bigger than the comfort and modern rooms. Besides having no view, there is cigarette smell in my nonsmoking floor. i had to use a towel to cover the couch to sit on because there is stain on it. I will not book this hotel again.

Nice quiet hotel close to Shibuya Crossing, eateries and shops.

The accommodations and staff were SO thoughtful and considerate. Letting us store our luggage after we had checked out, providing a free, local smart phone for help getting around, etc. will definitely return to Granbell next trip to Tokyo!

Overall, the hotel was good and the room was clean. It is outdated and needs renovation, carpet replacement.

My husband and I stayed at the Granbell twice on our honeymoon in Japan: the first two nights and then the last night after traveling across the country. The Granbell even held some luggage for us in the intervening time and it was lovely to come back to the hotel after traveling around so much. The staff is attentive and friendly, our room was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed the Japanese-style breakfast at La Dining.

The granbell is in an ideal location for exploring Shibuya. The staff is very helpful and courteous and helped us get dinner reservations. The room is a great size for a dense city. Our stay included breakfast with an option of two restaurants attached to the hotel. The La Dining restaurant serves a hearty Japanese breakfast as well as a few western options.

Room is small, but adequate. Hey you're in Tokyo, and not staying in the room all day. Free breakfast on the 1st floor. Location is awesome! Only 5 min. from Shibuya Station, and close to the famous Shibuya Crossing and Hachiko statue. Plus many restaurants and bars nearby. Would recommend to solo travelers and couples. Definitely worth the price.

great return at the end of our trip
