Here are the 5 things I look at when I walk into a hotel room. 1) Does it smell? Not at all 2) Is it physically clean? yes 3) Can I walk barefoot on the carpet? yes, however my room had some stains on the carpet and it was old. The only reason why I'm giving 4 stars and not 5. 4) How comfortable is the bed? Very nice 5) Are the walls paper thin? not at all Nice shower pressure also and of course the food was great.
We checked in late on a Thursday night. I had mentioned to the front desk staff that we may have to check out earlier than expected because we had received a call that my father wasn't doing well back at home. the following afternoon about 4:00 we received a call that we needed to head home. I went down and explained to them that we were having to check out. They were very supporting and caring and took care of everything for us and didn't charge us for that night even though we had been there until 4pm. Everything was clean, comfortable, dining area was big and roomy and food was great! We would highly recommend this property and we will definitely be returning!
This hotel was ok in my opinion. I will say both the happy hour food and the breakfast were above average but the hotel room was nothing special. My Refrigerator was so loud it had to be unplugged. The temperature in the room was difficult to manage and the parking lot was bizarre. The staff was friendly all in all a 3 star experience. Close to all restaurants and gas stations and about 10 minutes from downtown and casino.
On our way to Wyoming we decided to stop for the evening at the Drury Inn & Suites in St. Joseph, We checked in early enough that we were able to enjoy the evening reception and complimentary drinks. Our room was quiet and nice. Easy on and off the interstate and a wonderful breakfast the next morning. This was my first time staying in a Drury Inn. I am normally a Mariott person. However, I was so impressed with the Drury Inn and its staff and the location we stayed at that I joined the members club and will actively seek out Drury Inns as a place to stay in the future.
This is a very nice hotel. Clean, quiet, easy access to interstate. The evening kickback food is pretty good. The breakfast has many choices. Staff were very helpful when I thought I might have double reserved a room. They checked and we're super friendly.
Recently spent three days in St Joseph and stayed at the Drury. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast and evening reception added to the stay. Something for everyone. Also conveniently located and easy to find. Our room was comfortable with a small refrig and microwave. Towels and washrags were soft and thicker than most chains in this class. Would definitely stay here again. Only thing I missed was a complimentary daily paper.
We had a great stay even when it rained. Rooms were great! Stephanie and Dave, staff at DI, were exceptional. Always very helpful and cooperative. All the staff were good. If we did have an issue it was dealt with immediately. We were there over Easter and were pleasantly surprised with Easter eggs all over. Fun for kids as well as older kids. Would stay there again.
Nice rooms and very clean. Staff was very friendly. They serve evening meals with good veriety and 3 drinks free. Breakfast was good with good veriety. Bed was very comfortable. Water pressure for shower was good.
We needed a handicapped accessible room, which was very nice. Upscale furnishings from what we are accustomed to, and the bathroom was especially nice for a wheelchair and walker. The downside was the room was on the third floor, which wasn't that big of a hindrance, but the hotel only has one elevator which slows things down. For the size of the hotel they could really use two elevators. Plus, if there was an emergency, there would be no way for a person in a wheelchair to exit. Not a deal breaker, and we were very happy with the complimentary breakfast and the evening "kickback" snacks and drinks. Overall, one of our more pleasant stays while traveling. It's more expensive than a lot of chain motels, but in my opinion worth it for all the complimentary items. And all of the staff members were very pleasant and professional, not something I can always say about other motels. Probably the best choice to stay while in St. Joe!
I made reservations here for a business trip. The building is a little older from its outside appearance but has been kept updated and well maintained on the inside. Desk service was more than pleasant and knowledgeable. The available evening food was OK for something quick, but I don't know that it's meant for anything more than that, especially since you get 3 free drinks as well! The room was clean and well appointed. A bit noisy since I was the room adjacent to he elevator shaft, so see if you can avoid that room. Free breakfast was ht and well prepared with pretty standard fare...eggs, sausage, biscuits gravy, potatoes, cereal, waffles, fruit, bagels and of course coffee, tea and juice.
