Stay here if you want the staff to give your room key to someone else that is not employed by them and you do not know! Than, said person tries to get into your room while you are sleeping. Not once, BUT TWICE. Than the front desk acts like it is your fault when you complain about this to them. So you talk to the manager "Terressa" and she tells you she will make sure you get a refund. Just to call her on the following Monday and she will gladly take care of it. So phone call is made, and I have sent two emails. It is one week later and there has been zero response. Not to add that when I arrived at the hotel the employees could care less about me waiting to check-in.They were too busy smoking. Add in another fact, that the front desk clerk didn't even bother to give me new room keys to get back into my room after she knowingly deactivated my card after she gave the room to someone else. Horrible safety issues. And worse part is they can care less. WIsh I had seen the reviews here before I stayed here
We checked into the hotel and that went fine, went to our non-smoking room that was so smoky and stinky that we requested to be moved (never had to do this before) and the girl at the desk was very rude about it. Moved to our new room and it was not cleaned from the guest before. I informed the front desk (same rude girl) said they would get around to cleaning it but it wasn't their fault since I had a problem with the first room. That night we went to sleep and at 2:30 in the morning a woman with suitcase in hand came in to our room. I called the front desk and she said the woman was supposed to go to another room, I questioned if that was the case why did her key open our door which she did not have an answer for. We relocked the door with the security lock and at 5:30 we had a gentleman trying to open the door because again the front desk tried to give him our room. I called the front desk again and was told she had no idea what was going in and said she was sorry. At 7:30 we had the third person try and enter our room that night which was house keeping. I asked why they were trying to clean our room at 7:30 in the morning. She told me that the computer said the room was empty. I asked how this could be possible since they rented that room 3 times. I called the front desk for the third time and as able to talk to the manager. She did apologize and gave us the room for free but that did not help with the lack of sleep. I would not recommend this hotel at all!!!!
Sorry to say that staying at this hotel was not a good experience. Also upon checking out we were not asked about our stay. It took 35 minutes to check in although I had a confirmed reservation. We were the only ones being checked in at the time so was just a matter of inexperience and new person did not ask for help from manager for 20 minutes. The toliet ran all night and there was a grinding noise in the wall. We had to ask that our room be cleaned when we came back at 2:45 in the afternoon. The sheets felt like they were not cleaned or rinsed properly. The bottoms of our feet were black from the dirty carpet in the room. Several people smoking at the front entrance was a disgusting welcome to the hotel. One positive was that the black out curtains worked nicely to keep out the light.
Worst hotel i've ever stayed in....staff unprofessional, rooms stink, AC broken, requested room cleaned and needed towels; never happened. Everytime we went outside staff was sitting on benches smoking. Front office had stacks of pillows on counter, staff lingering around gossiping about guests that just checked in. You stood at counter and could see straight into linen/laundry room. Fitness room had no privacy, window located in lobby shows through to fitness room. Beds were comfortable but it was difficult to get into them because they were up so high. Just go stay in Sikeston and save yourself some hassle.
I booked my room on the Oak Tree Inn website on 6/2/2016 and had a confirmed reservation. When I arrived on 6/4/2016 about 7:00 p.m. the young lady at the front desk told me they had no rooms available. I explained I had a confirmed reservation and she said their computers had been down for several days and there was nothing she could do. When I asked to speak to a manager, she said the manager was out of town and she didn't know when she would be back. She made no offer to check with other motels to see if anyone else had rooms. Side note is the parking lot had many empty spaces, so I can't imagine all their rooms were full.
Room was nice with comfortable bed and clean room at a great price. Down check is front desk staff. Having booked many rooms over the past several years and checked into one the night before after 1 a.m. with no issues, I was surprised to find out they had checked us in, checked us out and marked as no-show since we were not there by midnight. The is the first time I have run into this situation as the room was paid for with my card. The front desk staff did finally provide a room and let me go to sleep wile they tried to figure out how to fix their system. Moral of the story - be sure to call this place if you are going to arrive late. Just didn't need the issue after short sleep the night before, working all day and another short night on the horizon.
It's 12:36 am on 9/4/15. This is the worst hotel I have EVER stayed at!. Everything is filthy! You can see rust in the shower area. The furnishings are out of box cheat made. And the cheap furniture is pushed out around the room cuz house keeping must hunt for electrical outlets. We paid for a king room. There is only one night stand on one side of the bed. Where am I to put my stuff?. There is no clock in the room. There is no "welcome to our hotel" info book. Didn't know what tv channelsvwere available. The gave us two towels. One nice and kinda big the other looked like a hand towel. Finally, when we checked in the young lady asked if we wanted our room cleansed. Of couse we do!! During all this, whom I assumed was the on duty manager was running around like a chicken with her head cut off. The hotel grounds are a -20. The staff a -20. This is on a scale of 1-10. Don't stay here because it's awful
I am staying here for extended time during week, for work.staff are friendly. Rooms are clean. beds in some rooms not to comfortable. Don't stay on end next to hwy. Very loud. Overall good stays.and would stay here if I came back for leisure
Driving long distance over the Thanksgiving holiday, Dexter, Missouri, was the most reasonable distance to stop for the night. The hotels there are generally the same rating, so the OTI was selected because there was a restaurant nearby. The outside is not impressive. However, once in the room, it was immaculate, the bed was very comfortable, there were good furnishings, and the price was very reasonable. The staff were helpful and friendly. I noted there was an exercise room and a laundry. There is also a nearby Chinese restaurant, theater, and other stores. If I need a place to stay while on the road, staying here is a choice I would make over chains in nearby towns.
The motel was clean and convenient. However the check-in process was very time consuming and tediious even though I was a prepayed quest. It was also very noisy during the night it seemed that people were arriving and leaving all during the night,
