The Edgewater - A Noble House Hotel

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

We stayed for 2 nights at the Edgewater. Be aware that the hotel is basically built on stilts on the pier (not so good if you are vertigo sensitive). The first room we were given was on the 3rd floor and we can hear the engine of a large boat outside. It was also vibrating the floor to the point where we had to ask to move rooms (because of my vertigo) after just an hour of checking in. We were then moved to the 1st floor, but after 5 minutes, someone down the hall was smoking marijuana and the smell penetrated into our room. We then asked to be moved again. The double bed rooms were not available at this point, and so we settled on a room with just a king bed and a roll-away. I will have to say, the staff was trying their best to accommodate us. Just a little annoying having to move around and not have the double beds. Also, the so called dresser drawers were not functional and it annoys me when there are no bags in the dirty trash cans. Overall, we did have a nice ocean view and the hotel was within walking distance to Pike Mkt, Space Needle, Ferris Wheel & the other piers.

awesome experience. the hotel is closed to the needle space tower, restaurants, ocean markets, shopping centers and etc.

Nice rooms, a bit over priced for the "no view" side, traffic really sucks get the valet pre-purchase or discount, they really like to park your car.

Loved it. Location and vibe. I'm now being required to write more by this dumb review program....

Used bar of soap in shower when we arrived and there it stayed for entire stay. Maid didn't touch it. Also, dropped my phone and grabbed up errant raisins left on floor. Also, phone out of order. Asked that it be serviced so we could easily order room service-- it never was. Lastly, the man checking us out of room. Never did he inquire about my stay. When I requested a reciept, he barked: You booked through Orbitz. I don't have it. I will return, but will hope for kinder staff and cleaner rooms. The barista was sweet and professional. The front desk staff should train with her!

Really nice hotel close to the Market and Downtown Seattle. Views of the Sound are excellent. Clean place, a little stuffy but not a big deal. Would gladly stay there again.

Overall, I think this hotel was nice in its prime, however everything is a little beat up and worn. It is in need for some TLC. It was nice being right on the water and the hotel is located close to a lot of local attractions. The staff was ok. They were nice, but did not go above and beyond.

Terrific staff & location. Room decor was great & fireplace nice for a cold, windy Seattle night. Bed was a little over used and worn out. Bathroom very nice but no fan to chase out the humidity. These are are differences between a 4 star & 5 star rating.

Was a stunning view and wonderful atmosphere! The restaurant has fantastic. I enjoyed watching the sunset and seals play out my window.

The hotel is very clean, comfortable and in a great location. But the fireplace units they have in the room as the sole source of heat are so noisy that it was impossible to sleep. It is a shame as everything else is so nice but this level of noise is a deal breaker for a return visit.

My wife and I booked one of the waterfront rooms and the view was great. Unobstructed views of the water. The hotel was in a great location for walking anywhere in the city and we used the complimentary shuttle quite a bit to get around as well. If you bring a car and don't want to pay $40+/day for valet, there's a garage directly across for street for $20/day. Anyway, we really enjoyed our stay, the fireplace, and the staff. We would recommend this over the Marriott water front if you're looking for water views.

The hotel is clean - very rustic charm and very PNW trendy. Friendly doormen and security. It was a spacious room with comfortable bedding, a claw foot rub and excellent water views. I believed we were getting a room with a balcony but even though there was not one - the Windows opening to fresh air was very nice. The restaurant - 67, is overpriced for what is served in all honesty. Stick to the bar and bar food and save a few coins. One note. Anyone can access this hotel. There's no key card required to enter the front - and I swear I think the guy in the room next to us was running drug deals. This IS a very nice hotel ....so don't be discouraged but just know anyone can access means just that - not only guests can come and go as they wish....anyone can anytime day or night.

I was very disappointed with my stay here. I have never requested to move rooms before, but I ended up in 3 different rooms in my 4 night stay. It would have been more, but I didn't want to switch rooms anymore. My first room's fireplace didn't work, and so had no heating. On top of that, I immediately learned that rooms in this hotel have paper thin walls. I could hear the people next door having adult time in high fidelity. So, they offered to move me to another room. The 2nd room had a fireplace that put out way too much heat, and even though the thermostat was at 66 deg, the room was closer to 85. I had to open the door the the balcony so it was bearable. I asked them to send someone to look at it, but I doubt they did anything. I had the same problem the next day, and that night. On top of that, the carbon monoxide detector went off at 2am (again, the room was 80 deg), and when security came to check it out they said it was probably nothing, but I could switch rooms if I wanted to. Not wanting carbon monoxide poisoning, I opted to switch rooms in the middle of the night. The 3rd room was functional, but on the 2nd floor instead of the 4th, and I lost my balcony (which was the big feature I was paying extra for). At this point, it wasn't worth switching again, so I dealt with it. More issues: They rip you off for parking $41/night. The floors creek everytime someone walks. When a neighbor got up, I would end up being woken up. Poorly maintained

You cannot beat the location of this hotel. It is close to most of the major attractions. We walked to Pike's Market numerous times. The hotel offers a free shuttle but we never used it. We also could walk to the Space Needle. The staff was extremely helpful and provided with numerous recommendations on what to see and where to eat. The bar and restaurant are great. They do get quite busy. Would recommend obtaining reservations if you go during peak times. The room was very spacious as was the bathroom. I paid extra to face the harbor and it was worth it. When we return to Seattle, we will definitely book this hotel again.

This is our second stay at this hotel and we love it. We sleep all night with the patio door(s) open because we love to hear the sounds. Some may not like the noise but we do. We enjoyed a sunset dinner on the patio of 67 restaurant and the food was great. Room service breakfast was really good as well. The staff is extremely polite and helpful.

We really loved our room - the view was lovely, the room so pleasant, the bed was very comfortable, staff were helpful (although we did not get our scheduled wake up call on our last day). We ate at the restaurant twice and thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and view. Couldnot imagine a more enjoyable stay.

Very quiet, very friendly staff. I've stayed at a few hotels in seattle and this one by far has been the best.

Great location and ambiance. Excellent food for lunch and dinner, the best salads I've had. The hotel is starting to show the wear and tear of guest traffic. Dings and bumps on doorways and walls. The first room we got- no ocean view yet- was worn down, tears on the leather furniture, surprising for the caliber of hotel. We upgraded to ocean view. Well worth it, the only way to really appreciate the surroundings and take in the wonderful view; especially a sunset when the sailboats are streaming by our window. We would stay at the Edgewater again if the opportunity presents itself.

Phenomenal property. Location excellent. The 6/7 Bar Restaurant is a beautiful spot. Could hang out in that bar every night. The bedding was superb in the room. Rooms have a lot of variability. If you pay the high price for a water view make sure it is not in the lower numbers 01-30, the views are blocked by the adjacent pier. Looked at 4 different rooms before accepting the one we had. Front desk was very accommodating in this way. Expensive hotel but would stay there again. Some rooms have balconies, some have a small window, some have a large window, so for the money you have to pay to stay here make sure you have the room you like.

Great location! Hotel personnel were great. Room was very nice but didn't have privacy curtains to let light in. Lobby area is a great place to hang out. Lounge and restaurant had very good food and wine.
