Great location - walking distance to everything! The room was more than we expected, very clean, supplied with everything we needed. The staff was super friendly and welcoming! To top it off, the complimentary breakfast was delicious! Had a great stay, thank you!!!

Stayed at the hotel for six days while on business. Overall, a fine place to stay major renovation is in progress so it'll probably be nice afterwards. They provided a free breakfast to make up for the construction, which was nice.

The room was great and staff very friendly and helpful. There were some inconsiderate guests that were very loud around 2:30 in the morning. We had to call the front desk to take care of the situation.

Easy to find with the GPS - with the strange addresses in SLC - 130 West 400 South, etc. Walking distance from the LDS temple area and some nice restaurants - we had a car but did not need it that much. Hallways needed a vacuum - but we are flexible travelers and the Courtyard has not let us down - Starbucks in the dining area was quite nice. Room was fine- staff was helpful and friendly. Would probably stay there again.

Our room was freezing! We called to get it fixed but a guy showed up , unplugged it, plugged it back in, and said it was good to go in a few minutes. The heater never warmed up and we requested to be moved but were told there were no other vacancies. We were brought some extra blankets and finally managed to fall asleep. At 11:45 pm we were awakened to determine if we would like a space heater brought to our room, that it could be brought up in 30 minutes!! Both my daughters ended up catching colds. Not a good night, to say the least. And to think we could have spent $10 more and stayed at the Hilton. This was our first stay at the Marriott, and our last.

I booked 2 double bed room. It was nicely decorated and clean. But I heard footsteps from upstairs all through the night. I could not get a good night sleep and that affected my next day's activity. Since I want a quiet place to stay, I will not use this hotel in the future. Plus, front desk people was not friendly. This is another reason I did not like this hotel.

quick drive to university of utah for an interview. Location was great and within walking distance of downtown / city creek / restaurants. Everything at hotel was perfect.

I've stayed at this hotel a couple of times now and really like the location as well as the rooms themselves.

Its a great location to go to the downtown nightlife and entertainment. The room is comfortable and affordable. I enjoyed my stay!

Next time I will make sure to get a room on the front side of the hotel. The back side of the hotel has a night club that enjoys loud music late into the night. We were able to change rooms the next day but missed out on a good night sleep. After traveling for 6 to 7 hours and want to go to bed early that night and you are prevented to do soo because of the loud music makes your next day miserable. One last thing don't stay on the same level as the hockey traveling team when they are in town. These kids are lound, drink and have minimum regards to other guests.

Place was great. Very clean and loved the location. It is close to everything we wanted to do.

Myself and my husband stayed here for two nights, and regretted every minute. The rooms were dingy, oddly layed out and had an overpowering musty odor. This hotel should not even be carrying the Marriot Brand -- except for the deceptively modern-looking lobby area, everything else resembled a cheap motel. Of course the location was fine, as it's in the city, but the price in my opinion was not value for money, I would not recommend this place to anyone. The staff are a class act, outwardly friendly, until you complain!

Rave site right next to this hotel - so get a room away from the party site in the rear. Great staff, not such a great part of the city. Like the free breakfasts at other locations better than pay-for-it here.

Beautiful Rooms, a block from my destination, courteous staff, and no hassle getting a cab at the door for me when I needed it. We were in town for a one-night stay and the Marriott made it feel like a vacation. Couldn't be better.

clean, simple and easy

I really enjoyed my stay at this location. Everyone was very kind and very attentive. The rooms were sparkling clean and the atmosphere was very comfortable.

Friendly service all around. Great location for the price -- close to Downtown without the price. The facilities were warm and inviting. We would stay there again.

the hotel was in construcction and the lobby was torn down I had some business meeting that I was planning in the hotel that I had to move.

We all went down for a wild grown-up night and everyone had a blast, the hotel put our rooms right next to our friends which was great. Hands down one of my memorable trips.

This was a great hotel! Very nice staff and i was pleased with the room. Close to many restaurants and Gateway (an outdoor mall) and TRAX. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone going for a long weekend!
