This is the second time I have stayed at the hotel in the last 90 days. First time was for business, second time was personal travel. The hotel itself is "OK" but the atmosphere on the weekends was not very conducive to rest or sleep. Even though we stayed on the HHonors floor, the clientele was definitely not business travelers. There was a large group of kids having some kind of party above us on the 8th floor. Despite calls to the front desk and promises that they would send security to quiet things down, the noise did not abate until much later. The next morning, the front desk said that those teenagers were throwing ice off the balcony among other things. Overall, the hotel staff did not seem to exert much control over what was happening within the building. I would not recommend staying here.

The hotel is operated efficiently by friendly and considerate/competent staff. Both our personal needs/desires and the event I was attending were addressed at a level comparable to the best I have ever encountered.

This property should offer a continental breakfast. This is a renovated Holiday Inn Staff is great.

For a Doubletree this particular hotel was disappointing. The room was only moderately clean. The bathroom in particular. This hotel is in sore need of a major upgrade. The bottom of the bathroom door looked as though someone did a quick saw-to-fit with jagged unfinished edges. The carpet in the elevators was coming up and the hallways (and elevators) needed serious cleaning. TV was not clear on many channels. The pool area didn't look very inviting. We WILL NOT be staying here again. Beds were comfortable and clean though.

I found a dirty washcloth hanging from shower rod. Room service breakfast was cold and they didn't bring silverware. There was a bunch of drunks out front being loud at my 1am check in.

This is a review from my November 9-10, 2013 stay. This property has the capacity to be a really nice and inviting suburban hotel. The staff is excellent (requests were handled immediately) and quite friendly. The lobby area is nice. Loved my cookie! In addition, I like having a refrigerator and microwave so I can prepare and/or warm up my own food. The bed was comfortable. And I appreciated the tiny touches they could incorporate immediately: a nice coffee maker with plenty of creamer; the iHome clock/speaker dock. But. The rooms really need to be remodeled, and it can't happen fast enough. The interior (bedroom and bathroom) has a very dated feel. One of the lamp shades had was stained. When it gets dark outside, so does the room, and it almost doesn't matter how many lights one turns on, it's not enough; the room remains poorly lit. I had lots of reading and writing to do, and that made it tougher. Finally--this isn't necessarily the fault of the hotel, but a note to parents traveling with their children: PLEASE make sure they're chaperoned appropriately! There were kids who ran the halls ALL NIGHT. Loudly. Screaming and shouting and running. I can ignore some noise--I don't expect hotels to be monasteries--but since I had a ton of work to finish and an early start time the next morning, I did not at all appreciate the steady stream of noise that went on FOR HOURS. I had to call the front desk twice to get those terrors under some semblance of control. I'm not sure if the front desk didn't initially take it seriously or if the "little darlings" just decided to ignore directions, but if it hadn't calmed down, I'd have gone down in search of the "parents" to speak with them myself, and call the police if necessary. They were that bad. Those kids were unbelievably rowdy and ill-mannered. I hope the room renovations can begin soon. I'd love to stay here again, but at this point, it would only be by necessity only. I'd love to be able to stay here again by choice.

The room was very clean, which is my #1 priority. My #2 priority is quiteness and that it was. My only complaint was that when I got back for the night I went to close the blinds and discovered that only the sheer curtain would close - the heavy drape was fixed on one side of the window. I was in room 330.

The room was fantastic. Very quiet. Fairly new beds, great shower and a fantastic flat screen huge HD TV! Used the hotels high speed wi-fi. Room as both cable for your computer and wireless available. Good location in Midlothian, close to mall, Walmart, etc.

The location of the hotel is perfect -- a pleasant, tranquil setting off the main highway. The rooms are pleasant and very clean. The staff is friendly and cp,petent. And, the amenities are very good.

Highly recommend this hotel. Two items high on my priority list are cleanliness of the room and comfort. Was not disappointed. Ordered room service for breakfast, it was excellent. The location was also very convenient being on Midlothian Turnpike. Can't say enough about the friendliness and professionalism of the entire staff. Would definately stay again!

Probably the best Holiday Inn I've ever stayed at. Very clean and new.

Room was good with typical accommodations. Even provided airline no-no of a razor. However, two groups were having a reunion--1, ours of 35 years; 2, another of ten years. Unfortunately, the 10 yr folks gathered in room next to mine. Very LOUD at 12:30 AM. Connecting door did not help matters. Dinner was good, as were banquet accommodations.

I had no problems. Great Satff. Great Service.

I picked this hotel for my trip to Richmond because the Richmond Shag Club dances there on the night of my visit.

It was a great experience. The staff were really helpful and I enjoyed eating in the cafe. My overall experience was really good.
