Stayed here for a concert at Santander Arena. Upgraded our room for free to king suite. Slept well. Fast, friendly checkin. Breakfast was OK. Could not keep breakfast area stocked fast enough. Also, the breakfast area was congested.

It is located on a side street off the N. 5th St Hwy right at the line of crime ridden Reading and Muhlenberg Twp. The rooms are the standard Comfort Inn style, which is a mid range hotel that is usually a good balance of price and comfort. However, this one is located in a bad location which warrants the one star rating. The area is not nice and the local police are often called for rowdy or drunken patrons. Very small dining area out front for the free continental breakfast. Look toward Wyomissing for a better place to stay.

I booked this room a month ago through When the event I was traveling for was canceled, two days after I made the reservation and three weeks before the date of the reservation, I called and comfort Inn hotel multiples, and they both referred me to the other. Mac (customer rep at choiceshotel) claims that his supervisor (Cristina) attempted to speak to the hotel front desk manager who said they would not do anything for me, but she did not care enough to ask the name of the person she spoke with. When I called the “front desk Manager” (Tracy), her dismissive tone and lack of care for my situation were offensive, and it was evident that she lacks customer relations skills. When I requested to speak to the general manager (after several calls I find out her name is “Barji”), I was redirected to a voice mail which apparently the general manager does not check since she had not return my call in 5 days. My multiple follow up calls have not been answered, and coincidentally enough, every time I call back, she happens to “no in her office,” not matter if it is 9 am, 10 am, 11 am, or 1pm...all times that I have called back. This is unacceptable behavior for people who claim to be in the hospitality business and represent such a well known and respected brand. Just to be clear, we are talking about. $168.62 for one room for four people (parents and two toddlers), it blows my mind that they are risking losing potential customers, a bad review and future business for their unwillingness to find common ground and show some empathy. I will call a few more times, perhaps their professionalism kicks in and they decide to do the right thing. After all, this is Thanksgiving season.

Don't waste your money. This place is a was roaches n the room, bloody towel laying in the hall way. The sheets on the bed had other people hair in it. Just nasty. I would never recommend anyone to stay at this place.

Nice property. Room was clean and comfy. Probably one of the better properties I have stayed at. Nice breakfast. I really can't find a negative comment to make... And I am quite picky. Convenient location to freeway, Easy access to surrounding area. I also got the feeling that the property had recently gone thru renovations so it seemed really a nice stay.. and I would stay here again.

My parents and I stayed at comfort inn in reading PA last week for three nights. The staff there are very helpful and kind and they worked with us through our problems. The room we first got had an issue with the TV and the toilet wouldn't flush. We moved to a new room (which the front desk lady was extremely helpful to us). This new room reamed of cigarette smoke and the air conditioner didn't work. We moved to a third room which was much better but the floors were wet feeling. Overall, the stay here was nice. We just had to get the right room and I am very thankful that the employees there were so kind and helpful to us. I also really liked the continental breakfast that they offered.

We'll where do l start! The room was very small, ensuite was ok. Went to bed to noise from above then woke in the night and could hear snoring from another room. I think there should be some sound proofing. Next morning we had to cook our own breakfast!!! There was a small supply of cereal, and fruit, bacon sausages and eggs in the fridge and we had to help ourselves. There were no instructions how to use the cooker and hob, we asked but the staff managed to work the honour but not the grill. The only noticed were telling us to clear up after ourselves . We were not told of this when we booked. I will not stay there again. It is a health hazard.

We were only there for one night and everything was great. The girls at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Typical breakfast, liked the French toast. Only minor complaint, I could not get used to the pillows. I would stay there again.

Great place to stay, time away for family. Friendly & helpful staff. shopping not far away. I do enjoy the helpful information that is shared when it is requested. Located near 12 & 222 was easy to find.

Let me start by saying I'm not a picky person. I don't expect to be treated like royalty. All I ask for in a hotel is a clean bed, hot shower and I expect hotel employees to treat me with respect. This hotel provided the clean bed (quite comfortable actually) , shower was hot but the people at the front desk were some of the nastiest people I've ever met in my life. It started when I first checked in. I had a small disagreement with Josie about the check in process. No big deal. Even though I felt I was right about the situation, I went along with her demands just to get myself into a room because I was tired and was not in the mood to argue. Her attitude towards me was not acceptable. She was very rude to me. One morning another employee named Janet was putting out items for breakfast when I noticed she had a kleenex in her hand and was blowing her nose. I asked her how she was feeling and she responded by saying she was just fine, but what happened next shocked me. When I turned to walk away I could CLEARLY hear her say "Jesus Christ! Am I allowed to blow my own nose?" I was taken aback so I asked her what her name was (for the purpose of this review). She said her name was Janet and I told her to have a nice day. First of all, I don't think that asking someone how they are doing is a bad thing to ask so I'm not sure why she responded to me in that manner. Second, when you are serving food for customers to consume, I don't think you should blow your nose and then immediately handle the food. Very unsanitary. To sum it up, the hotel itself was ok. I probably would have given 2 or 3 stars just based on the hotel alone but the lack of respect from employees forced me to write this bad review. I hope and pray my employer doesn't send me back to this hotel. Perhaps these ladies need some training on how to treat customers. My opinion, avoid this hotel.
