I booked my husband and myself a bay front room for a Christmas gift. At first sight it was ok, not what I would expect for a $200+ room . The view was beautiful overlooking the bay. But the room needed some attention. We were only there for an overnighting some things I didn’t notice until the next day. That being said I didn’t call housekeeping to address the issues that I saw. For a high end hotel in the slow season I would expect some deep cleaning to get done. Like clean the bed skirt, make sure ALL of the baseboards are dusted, especially around the bed. And last but not least get the cobwebs.

We stay every year with our entire gym and it is a beautiful place. However, this year, our room was not in good shape at all. One of the bulbs in the light was out, and when checking under the lamp shade, I noticed several spider webs under that lamp shade so I checked under the other lamp as well, which was loaded with spider webs. Also, upon sitting in the chair by the bay window, and looking at the heater, it was thick with spider webs and thick with dirt, filth, and what appeared to be mold. It was very visible. My 9 year old daughter and I decided to sleep I. The bed farthest away from the all spider webs knowing spider are most active at night. We felt uncomfortable and nervous being in that room, and we left a note, nicely and respectfully written to the maid directing her to what areas need cleaned. For the price we paid, we were very disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. Again, we stay every year with our entire gym, and have always had a great experience. We always stay in a more upscale hotel, but the cleanliness of this room would be expected in a Motel 6. On a positive note, we had an outstanding waitress at 10:30 pm Sunday night and the food was superb!

Outside of it being very clean, and the staff very professional and friendly, the beds were some of the most comfortable beds I have ever experienced at a hotel. I enjoyed the quiet due to respectful guests and seemingly thicker than normal hotel walls. Parking and check-in was a breeze. It was very considerate that not only was the walkway from parking garage covered/ protected , but it was carefully cleared from the 60+ inches of snow they had just received in just a few days in Erie, Ohio. It was very close to our event at Gannon University Recreation Center, too. Wish we could have stayed longer! This was our 2nd time staying at this hotel and we will likely return next year for that same event. My only wish was that the gentleman who checked us in around 5pm that day (12/27) would have told us when we checked in about the drinks and appetizers available on the 8th floor as well as the special breakfast (also on the 8th floor) for guests which was available at 6am (perfect since the 1st soccer match began at 7:;35am). Luckily, there were other soccer parents staying at the same hotel and they told us, but we were a little late in learning about the appetizers and drinks.

We stayed Christmas Day, mostly because it was a good deal. The room overlooked the bay which was nice. The room was average by far. You would have to use every pillow on the bed just to be able to sit up and watch tv. And the cleanliness of the room was nowhere near whay if expect. The baseboard by the bed had a nice and noticeable amount of dust on it. There was also cobwebs by the desk in the room. Oh and the. The bedskirt ...there were so many stains on the bedskirt it was kinda gross. It looked mostly like coffee stains but who knows what else that I couldn’t distinguish. I don’t think I’d go again, unless I got a super low deal.

The parking garage, for which we were charged is not attached to the building. We were serenaded by a barking dog left alone in a room for several hours. The friendly and polite staff repeatedly told us there was nothing they could do about it, and failed to offer another room. The food was great, but there were errors on our bar bill, double charging us for cocktails. It was promptly fixed upon our request.

Everyone was so nice and helpful. Everyone greeted us with a hello and a smile.

Did ask for a room away from high traffic areas. And wound up the room directly off the elevator. Be prudent and follow up on your special requests.The room was clean. Chamber maid reset the room to our request. It is one of the best hotels. Can't beat the view, and proximity of the beaches and other entertainment. Stayed here since it was first built

If I return to Erie, this is where I will stay for the reasons stated above.

We ended up staying for a week. We have to re-book and it was very easy. Staff is fabulous and very helpful. rooms were comfortable. The few issues we encountered were quickly corrected. Thanks for a great experience!

Good hotel, covered parking and we felt safe in an unfamiliar area. You have to pay for the parking if you're not a Sheraton rewards member but it's free to join their rewards program so it's an easy way to save on the fee. The rooms are really nice and the beds and linens are super comfy. They are pet friendly for a fee. The food in the restaurant is great!

We enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton. Room was beautiful, had an awesome view! Food was great, drinks were as well!!

My girlfriends and I had a wonderful weekend at the Sheraton Erie Bayfront. We ventured from Pittsburgh to go to the Wine on the Lake event this past Saturday. Our room was clean and nicely decorated. Each staff member we encountered was friendly and extremely helpful, despite how busy the hotel was at all times. The bathroom left a little to be desired... The tub was very narrow in size. I'm a petite girl and I was afraid of slipping and falling out of the side... Luckily, that didn't happen. ) Also, the bathroom door is at an angle with frosted glass and there is no vent. You could see shapes of someone using the restroom or undressing, and the lack of vent made the entire room very moist after showering. Luckily, my friends and I have been chums for many years and weren't too uncomfortable, but it was a little odd. Happy my husband wasn't with us, otherwise the lack of vent would have caused an issue in a more unpleasant, smelly way. hahaha Overall, great hotel and we plan to venture back during the summer!

The location was so beautiful. It was the perfect spot for a getaway and some luxury. The staff was friendly and the room and hotel were very clean. There was so much to do and see all around in the general location, it would have been great to stay longer. We would recommend the hotel to anyone, anytime!

My second stay here, and it was wonderful. Beautifully decorated hotel, clean, easy access, and located on beautiful bayfront. The staff are terrific and very friendly. The food at the Bayfront Grille is delicious. I would have given 5 stars if there were dresser drawers to place my clothes.

I've stayed in a few, most 3 star and up, and this was definitely one of the top I've stayed in. It's in a beautiful location, it's up to date and the staff is wonderful. The restaurant has to die for food although it is expensive. If your are staying at a 4 star hotel, then expect the best with prices included. Will definitely book again.

i was expecting more :(
