Hotel is in a great location. Nice amenities and nice room. Highly recommended.

Went to check in to hotel at 3:30pm, was told room wasn't ready and that it would be 30 more minutes. Went upstairs for a bite to eat for a hour, came back down expecting room to be ready and was told they are still running behind on cleaning rooms. Finally got into our room at 6:40pm.

We needed a nice hotel downtown, as we were going to see a band at the Roseland and wanted to make a night of it. Location is just perfect, right in the center of town.

Very easy walking distance to most sites and shopping in the downtown Portland area.

Staff was friendly and courteous location great not great quality bathroom linens and didn't clean room till we left other than the price being a little steep still recommend

Stayed here for a few nights and was happy with the service and cleanliness. The hotel is right in the middle and walking distances to several good restaurants and bars. It's more of a business traveler hotel than anything else. I was there for a trip with friends and it met my needs. I could not see staying here with my family though.

I do not understand, why Marriott do not offer free Wi-Fi in rooms. It is free in the lobby for visitors and guests, but as a guest in the room you have to pay per day. This makes no sense in this day an age of free Wi-Fi almost everywhere.

The hotel was great. Good location, great help from the Valets, and very accommodating. Breakfast is wonderful and definitely worth the extra fee.

We are used to a more suburban motel so the lack/expense of parking was had to handle. But that's downtown. The staff were great and everything in the hotel was lovely and comfortable.

I spent very little time at the hotel as I was out seeing Portland. But I don't have any negative things to say. Clean room, friendly staff. What else is there?

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean, well-appointed and located right downtown within walking distance of everything. I wish the hotel had more going on in the lobby area (there's not much there. Just a small room and an elevator) and the activity in Portland can be unsavory sometimes but the room was clean and comfortable with a great view. We'd definitely stay here again.

Check in was smooth and we were in our room in under 5 minutes. Check out was just as smooth and quicker. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. You could hear some guest noise in the hall such as doors being shut and that was it. Overall it was a quiet stay. Hotel was in a good location for what we wanted to do. Short walk to Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, Powell Books and the Max Station. Would stay again if in the area.

The room was fine. I only gave the amenities three stars because I really didn't have a chance to check them out. Lots of good wine at the hotel bar though! But I didn't make it to the fitness center. I thought it was a bit overpriced for what it was but also it was Labor Day weekend. The location was right in the middle of downtown - an easy walk to the waterfront, Saturday market, shops, and countless restaurants and bars.

My girlfriend and I visited this location for our 3 yr anniversary. The hotel was good, particularly the location. Restaurants, bars, breweries, and shopping were all a short walk away. The room was clean, comfortable, and we had a decent view. The only downside was that the hotel did not have a pool- it wasn't something we needed, but more of a "nice to have" for the cost of the stay.

This hotel is centrally located near all the shops and great restaurants in Portland. We walked everywhere that we wanted to go for the weekend which was awesome!

The valet parking was outrageously expensive. And it was $7 per night higher here than at the Marriott Courtyard a few blocks away. On the day we checked out there was a parade route that blocked access to the street and we had to walk to the garage to pick up our cars. No one at the desk informed us of this possibility nor were they helpful in resolving the problem. Valet staff solved the larger problem of actually getting our cars.

My room was very clean, nothing was run down or worn out. Room service was very good and delivered quickly, the staff was friendly. Location in the heart of downtown, easy walk to many restaurants and shopping. Even though facing Broadway, my room was quiet and curtains really blocked out early morning light. No HD TV.

My wife and I stayed in Portland for the weekend for a nice getaway. Our Hotel was nicely located for us to walk around and do our shopping, dining, enjoy Waterfront Park, etc. Marriott staff from beginning to end was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean, tastefully decorated and overall very pleasant to stay in. I would tell anyone staying in who wants to visit Downtown Portland and be within walking distance to most everything to do, stay at the City Center Marriott.

Hotel was centrally located in the pearl district. Staff was very friendly. I don't like that you have to pay for internet, but i guess that is standard at Marriotts. Also, I don't think the hotel had a pool or spa area, which woudl have been nice (especially after being out in the rain). Overall, it was a very comfortable hotel.

This was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at (and I stay at a LOT of hotels as I travel for business). The walla were so paper thin you could hear the couple in the room next to us speaking at a regular tone - and understand every word they said! Then there's the horrible beds. Hard, uncomfortable, and I woke up with a pretty bad back ache. Worst bed I have ever slept on in a hotel and that is pretty bad since I've stayed in some shady spots... I would never come back I'd rather pay more to stay down the street.
