I did nit like the high pressure sales job to buy a Hyatt Unlimited Vacation Club package. We sat through 4 hours of sales and bought a minimal package that was to get us one week back at this resort that we planned to give our son for hus honeymoon. We were lied to. The $6500 package is not good at most of their resorts unless you have a second week to trade for a 1 week stay.

The staff and the resort is exceptional. We wanted to relax and have some fun and we got that and more. The resort was definitely 5 diamond worthy. From the check in with Mariela, my meeting with Mario and Karla, my concierge Roger and Hector, baggage and driver Alfredo and ofcourse the bartenders Ivan ar the beach bar, Leo, Argelio & team at the preffered club and Miguel at the pool cabana & room service everyone was very attentive and respectful, & I know I missed a few names. The resort had lots of activities and a good crowd. We loved the swimout pool suite and how private it all felt, great atmosphere. We would definitely come back.

Beautiful facility. Attentive service. Completely avoid any presentations for “freebies.” Almost an entire day was lost in the hotels’ attempt to sell a loyalty program. The only way to access the lobby is via a large set of uncovered stairs. This could be an issue in the extreme heat or in the rain. Great swim up bar. Arrive early or you’ll have no spot…or rent a cabana.

Absolutely Amazing Stay! Wish I Stayed Longer! I only stayed for one night, but everything about this hotel was perfect. The staff was warm and welcoming, the room was spotless and beautifully designed, and the food was delicious. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind—even for a short stay. We just got back from an amazing stay at this property. From the moment we got settled in we felt welcomed and spoiled. Everywhere we went we were greeted by our names and you didn’t get the feel like people were just trying to accommodate you because it was their job… everyone seemed genuinely kind and happy to be helping to make the experience enjoyable. The beach was a bit of a disappointment because of the sargassum but they couldn’t have worked more tirelessly to try and rid of it. The last day of our stay it actually relented quite a bit and we spent a ton of time in the ocean. Even with the beach not being what we’d hoped, it didn’t ruin our time. We had a blast utilizing the tons of amenities available. We are early risers and from morning to night our expectations were constantly surpassed. The daily lunch buffet at the pool was consistently delicious offering a new themed variety each day. Himutsu was our favorite restaurant for dinner and Felipe was THE BEST! I have Celiac and he not only made sure I could eat things I normally couldn’t at typical Asian restaurants but he would surprise us with an additional appetizer or dessert. The breakfast buffet had an insane amount of options (even for someone with Celiac) and the grill and pizza station by the pool were always delicious for a mid afternoon snack. We will definitely go back!

We decided to stay here for our honeymoon after seeing many raving reviews. This was the most average resort I have stayed at. The resort failed to mention they were undergoing construction and we were surprised to see a lot of construction going on and the breakfast/lunch buffet area relocated to their conference room area. This really threw off the vibes. They would blast music from the construction area everyday to try to drown out the construction noise I guess. I also did not like the timeshare poachers who annoy you as soon as you check in. They are like vultures hovering around the main lobby and concierge trying to find prey. The only plus points were the decent room, the evening dining a la carte options, and the customer service. Daily breakfast buffet was okay as they had variety and changed items each day. The lunch buffet was very pathetic with them trying to reuse/repurpose the most random items. I noticed they had vegetarian/vegan options, but no sugar free options whatsoever. The worst food was at the variety show. The shows were overall alright, but the theatre area for shows like Rock night is somewhat small to accommodate all resort guests. We did go to the spa which was nice with their hydrotherapy pools, steamer, and sauna albeit a bit pricey. I think I really did not get much bang for my buck. I really wish the resort would have warned me about their ongoing construction.

I'm an event planner in NY/NJ and I was responsible for planning a trip for 7 girls for my sisters 40th. The trip was good. There were some issues that we encountered. I am a hard person to impress, so take this for what you will. Pros- -Spacious, modern, clean rooms. -Gorgeous, clean property, well cared for. -Amazing pools, swim up bar, so much to do if you want to partake with some fun nightly entertainment. -Friendly staff & Concierge (shout out to Diana) who were warm and professional always. -Great food, breakfast buffet, many restaurants. -Wonderful Spa Cons -Long check in & told conflicting info. $200 resort coupons were given to us and they were mostly useless. They can't really be used in full by the average visitor as there are so many limits. Apparently resort cash is different and we never learned about those- this caused confusion and cancelled plans. -We paid extra for an ocean view. The room was quite far from the beach, but was still considered ocean. My friends paid much less and were one floor down from us. I complained about it and they disagreed with my take on what ocean/beach view means. Only 2 buildings out of over 20 are really Ocean view. Watch this when booking. -Drink quality varies greatly bar to bar -Many drinks seemed watered down. -The drinkers in my party said the selection was far from "top shelf" as they advertise. -The beach is useless with the seasonal seaweed, it's not relaxing to have trucks on beach cleaning it 24/7.
