When you hear Pensacola, you will probably think of stunning white sand beaches, emerald colored water, and lots of fresh sea air. These are all reasons Pensacola is a good destination to visit with your pet. In addition, you will find plenty of great pet-friendly hotels in the city, making it the perfect spot for traveling with a pet.
A visit to the beach is a must when you are in Pensacola, but not all beaches are pet friendly. Therefore, it is good to know before going which beaches are. Two great beaches where you can bring your pet are the Bayview Dog Park and Beach and the Pensacola Beach West Dog Park. The latter is one of the most popular beaches in Pensacola, and definitely worth a tick of the list.
Overlooking the lagoon in beautiful Perdido Key, you will see Big Lagoon State Park. It boasts several walking and running trails, where you and your four-legged friend can get fresh air. The Bill Dickson Dog Park is another great place to bring your pet in Pensacola, Florida. Here your pet can play and get their exercise in an off-leash environment, while you relax in the shade under a tree.
If you are feeling hungry, there are several restaurants with outdoor seating where you can bring your pet. An honorable mention goes out to the Pensacola Bay Brewery, where they allow pets outside and inside. Their outside seating offers scenic views of Downtown Pensacola. Inside, you and your pet can cool down from the Florida sun.
