Excellent walking distance to downtown and eateries

We originally chose this hotel for the fact that it was pet friendly and was close to the Pensacola dog beach. Very nice hotel, clean rooms, staff was really friendly, and the breakfast was very good. This hotel is also pretty close to the downtown area (within a couple of miles), but not so close to be loud.

We really enjoyed this hotel. We've stayed in several nearby hotels, which were all sold out for this weekend. We were pleasantly surprised by how large the room was, and the location was perfect for our plans -- days at the beach and evenings in downtown Pensacola.

It was a wonderful stay and I will recommend it to all my family and friends!

I got this room for my mother... my husband and I stayed in a condo on beach... her room was nicer than our condo! It was like a mini apartment. Quaint and nice. :)

Check in was a breeze! The front desk was awesome! The toilet wouldn't flush when I got there. I called the front desk and it was fixed with in 5 min. The hotel room itself has a living and kitchen area, and a separate bedroom. The kitchen has a stove, microwave and full size fridge and a full size coffee pot. Plenty of real dishes and cook ware!! Everything for a comfortable extended stay. PLUS two large flat screens. Internet was free and VERY fast. I watched Netflix on my computer with no problems at all. The outside pool area is small. The ocean is right down the road and I could see it from the parking lot. I had to pick up friends at the airport and it was a very easy 10 min. drive. Plus the Pensacola airport is a BREEZE for pick up and drop off! The traffic outside of the hotel on a friday night in June was TERRIBLE though. I do think that the price was a little high. $188 for very few amenities, but the room was awesome, and very comfortable. I would stay there again. It is also only ten min. from pensacola beach just across the bridge.

It was great but I did not like the fact that they except pets some people had large dogs and not just one. One lady had two one year old labs and one lady had a ptbull. This frightened my kids.

The room was wonderful. They provided everything u would need for a home away from home stay. I plan to stay here again on my next trip back to pensacola. I was very pleased with this hotel.

Marriott has really done a great job with their Residence Inns. This is the second time we stayed at one, the first one was in JAX, FL. The cleanliness, color schemes and attention to detail has really impressed us. Our room had pretty much anything one wants for a 2-3 day stay (or longer): kitchenette- with silverware, plates, glasses, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, good size flat screen TV, etc. It almost felt like we were at one of the high end (4-5 stars) hotels. Quite frankly, some of the 4 stars hotels don't measure up to that. Location couldn't be any better: dead-smack in the middle of Pensacola, a block away from McGuire's Restaurant (a must-try-or-visit), super easy to get around town and very accessible to the freeways. Breakfast was hot, delicious and filling. One small detail that really stuck out for me: they had several different kinds of complimentary men's cologne in the men restrooms (don't know about the ladies' side). That is a touch that impresses! We'd definitely recommend it to anyone, including friends and family.

The Marriot Pensacola Downtown was comfortable and affordable. I cannot give any better review because I only stayed one night.
