Red Lion Hotel Anaheim Resort

When we first arrived we did a check through of the room, we found some bugs in the bathtub. We decided it was okay so we just washed them down the drain. The next day we found ants on the countertop all over our lotions and sunscreens. We just wiped them up with a paper towel. We left with everything in tact and clean, yet we were charged an extra $70 for no apparent reason. The staff was very nice and friendly, and the location is close to the Disney Parks.

Room was ok, but not as clean as most hotels I've stayed in. Could use a little extra cleaning work. but not horrible.

I know this is an old hotel but I thought it would be in nicer up to day condition with as many quests as they potentially get being so close to Disneyland. I stayed 2 nights and found it to be very nice and close to restaurants and freeways so I didnt have to drive much. Disneyland is a 10-15 minute walk. Parking is $15/night which is ~$5 cheaper than most other hotels in the area. Staff are friendly but extremely lacking in motivation to work. The woman at the front desk was online shopping every time i walked by and not to mention I had to ask 3 times (3 different front desk people) to get a "do not disturb" sign for my door since there was not one in the room already. Their solution....they put a piece of paper in my door card reader slot that said "DND" They just seem very lazy and un-motivated to make their guests feel welcome and taken care of. I also am a huge fitness enthusiast and their on-site gym/fitness room was surprisingly good with two eliptical and two treadmill machines, and one bike. Their dumb-bells also go up to 50lbs which was nice. I was able to get my morning and night cardio and weight sessions in without hassle. All in all it was an ok stay but i would not stay here again. There are so many other hotels within this area and next time I will look at the Hilton or Sheraton across the street even though they are only $10-15 extra/night.

Only problem was room wasn't ready at the check in time. There was already a long line to check in and to top it off, wait for an available room. We had appetizers and drinks for happy hour. Both were good.

My experience was very nice thanks to Nick (staff member) I checked in at 10:30 pm after going to Disneyland with my children. Nick was so kind he granted me and my children free breakfast ( normally is 11.99 a person) and set me up for late check out 12pm. Rooms are pleasant and quite.

The room had everything we needed. The pool is nice and the evening smores were fun. Close to Disneyland and actually closer to the Buzz/Woody parking tram. Parking available at the hotel for a fee and is worth it. Our car was fine. Busy during check in and check out, so expect that.

Walking distance to Disneyland but not as updated as expected. Toiletries were good brand

Staff was friendly, hotel had a pool and pool bar and restaurant. A little weird though thatcthe bartender was also the guy bringing food to the tables in the restaurant. Felt bad for the guy, he was running around crazy. The bar was not in a lounge though and it felt like I was sitting at a diner counter. Much nicer set-up and bat at the Sheraton across the street. I went there most nights. But for the price, Red Lion had a nice room with a much needed microwave and fridge. Bed was pretty comfortable too. Room was clean. Bathroom was a bit dirty with hair on floor but not terrible. I'd book again just because of the price and hang out across the street at the Sheraton.

This hotel is nice for the price. The room was small not much room other than the beds, but quiet and the beds were ok. The hotel was clean and the pool was a nice saltwater pool. After walking around Disneyland all day, it felt like a long walk back to the hotel.

No hot water and tub was flooding. Also found food wrappers under the bed.

The hotel is older and patched together. Elevator floor had tape on it. It was stated that they are under construction

We stayed on the fourth floor. The hall smelled like pee. Our room was fairly clean. We purchased it through Orbitz, so the price was good for us. The breakfast was okay, I ate the oatmeal, but the fruit was old and the eggs were very dry. If it;s luxury you want, it;s not here. This is a good hotel to stay in to be close to Disneyland. The overnight parking is $15.00. So it's better to park at the hotel and walk over to Disneyland vs. paying $17 at Disneyland and the hotel $15.00

Super friendly and helpful staff. Great location, can walk to Disneyland and many restaurants. Comfortable rooms!

Good experience...staff very nice, clean room, and nice view.

You can totally find a better room at the same price else where. Not worth it. Everything was a no for me. Dirty, messy, smelly. Room service doesn't really clean, all they do is replace new towels and makes the bed. No replacing sheets or vacuuming the room. They didn't even take out our garbage! Totally don't recommend.

Frig didn't work....I have.insulin that needed.to be refrigerated. I requested handicap room when i booked the room, as I have trouble standing, no handicap room was reserved n was given a room farthest from elevator, The Front Desk was the rudest Employee I have ever encountered. Never stay at Red Lion ever again!!!! Remove them from Your website!!! ...

I recently stayed at the red Lion and it was an overall good experience, the area and hotel it self is such a warm and welcomeing area.

Room was clean. Staff was nice. Only issue was trying to call for room service and it took over 5 minutes for someone to answer.

The staff was great. The reason picking this place was due to the proximity to Disneyland. It worked out well. The hotel staff was great, in the time I was there they handled rude customers great. After check in was a bit disappointing. The room, although I could use the word clean it was just enough. I found cockroaches in the tub, but I am sure that happens due to the sewage line. However the carpet and sheets had old stains. Also trying to sleep was pretty hard I could hear everything in the adjacent rooms. Bedsprings, foot steps, and even the elevator going up and down through out the night. The breakfast was lacking, but it was free so not sure I can completely complain. I have stayed in other hotels which had better selection but near disneyland not sure many include breakfast.

Title says it all. But I will start with Pros: 1. Location isn't bad, they have a bus that stops right in front and drops you right at Disneyland. ($5 a day, $3 for kids) Rooms have fridge and microwave. Food and drugstores all in walking distance. The price, if you're on a real budget. Bring a lot of disinfectant wipes and pray. Cons: OUTDATED! First room was filthy to the point of extreme discomfort. The complementary water had been drank from! Extreme dust bunnies in the ac vent. They changed my room to a less filthy room but the second room's fridge was still dirty. I had to wipe down everything to feel comfortable. Listen, I've stayed in some bad hotels before, because how do you know it's that's bad until you stay right? Given the location of this Hotel and how much money I know they must generate, I would think they would invest more into it. It's in need of some serious remodeling and that isn't me trying to be uppidy about the situation but as far as competition goes, why would people walk the extra distance or pay the extra money just to have a clean room they feel comfortable in?

Thank you for your feedback. I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Just to let you know there is a shuttle that can take you to and from the park, it is $5.50 for adults and $2 for kids.
