It was nice it was just the bed that really bothered me it wasn’t really comfortable.

Simple, clean and nice hotel. Really no issues as our trip went well...

Two-night stay for a two-day park hopper trip to Disneyland/California Adventure.

5 nights...one of the better hotel experiences I've had in the area. Didn't have time to really explore the grounds or the pool, but the hotel room itself was pretty good for it's proximity to the convention center. Microwave and mini frig were a plus, and being a block from 24 hour CVS/Walgreens made up for the fact that so many local restaurants closed their kitchens before midnight. Anaheim doesn't seem like that much of an urban center...at least, not after 9pm...but the hotel was cozy.

I got to the hotel early knew I couldn't check in until 3 so I waited they started checking people in early so I went to get my room they told me that they were overbooked and they didn't have a room for me after telling me once that I would be staying in room 216 they then proceeded to send me to another hotel did not offer me anything for my trouble no compensation for rides or anything save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else and just get an Uber the manager was not friendly and insisted to move me as well as charge me a resort fee for not staying there just book somewhere else crap place the only nice person there was the bartender

Stayed here twice in the last few months. Nothing fancy, but it’s clean and comfortable and the price is right for heading to Disney for a few days. Also there is a Walgreens and a Starbucks right next door which is nice.

I pretty please with the room and staff and place it’s lovated at

Clean, accommodating, shuttle picks up and drops off right in front for easy travel to Disneyland

This is my 2nd time staying at this hotel for this year for my adventure to the Disneyland / California Adventure parks. The hotel price definitely matches what is received. Clean room, plentiful amenities, smooth check-in / out, easy parking, small food mart inside lobby, happy hour, pool, quiet and the list goes on. I am not a high expectation person, however what matters to me most is a clean and sort of updated (renovated) room, amenities, comfortable pillows and the ease of additional amenities outside the room. The best part of my 2nd experience is I enjoyed the room on my first stay so I asked if I could have the same room (they have a log of what room you stayed in) and unfortunately, it wasn't available, however gave me a room on the same floor nearby. Floor 6 is my favorite floor for now. Rooms 630 and 626 were perfect rooms. Now the wall covering may appear to be off-putting, but the room decor is very nice and pleasing. The one thing I am not sure that hotel guests don't know yet is that their happy hour in the dining area is totally worth it. $5 appetizers and $5 beer / wine and some well drinks. Luis is the bartender Monday - Thursday and he makes some great mixed drinks. Best lemon drop martini.......most steak houses make the best and Luis made it just like if I was at a steak house. He used to work as a bartender in a upscale restaurant in Newport Beach so you know you are receiving quality mixed drinks and service. He is very friendly as well.

Room smelled bad and it was very hot in the room ac don't blow much cold air

My wife and I just came back from a three night stay at the Red Lion. This was our second time staying at the hotel with the last time being in 9/2013. Check-in was easy as well as parking (minus the parking fee). For the room, we had a couple complaints. First, you could tell that the carpet was very old and was in dire replacing. Second, the bed was very uncomfortable. We both woke up with back aches which has never happened to us before. Thirdly, there was a stain above the toilet on the wall that we couldn't tell if it were blood or something else. Unfortunately, my wife and I were both sick during this Disneyland trip and we did not eat at the restaurant downstairs. Last time we did though the food was decent. It is in a great location and an easy walk to the Disneyland entrance. We did notice that there were a few places to eat and shop right around the hotel. Given that there is a resort fee and daily parking fee, I will likely stay at the Hyatt across the street or the Hilton Homes next door.

I frequently stayed at Red Lion for Disneyland trips and after my recent experience, I don't plan on staying there again unless they completely renovate the guest rooms. The hotel itself looks really nice with recent models. The lobby area and bathroom are in great condition which makes you THINK that the rooms will be nice as well. The room we had (4th floor, room 403) was very disappointing. The bed was sunken and felt like it was sitting on blocks. The furniture was cracked and pealing. The bathroom was decent but the mirror was stained and there's barely any storage place to put your things. This was the first time getting a King room rather than a 2 Queen guest room so not sure if it was related to that; but their 'Standard' room sure is Below Average. They also have a parking fee and resort fee. Their pool was under maintenance and I found out at Check-out that we could swim at the neighboring Hyatt Place hotel. We weren't informed of that when we checked into the property for our 3 night stay. Definitely bad communication there. There are plenty other hotels in the Anaheim Disney area so do your research and read the reviews before committing to a place.

When we first arrived we did a check through of the room, we found some bugs in the bathtub. We decided it was okay so we just washed them down the drain. The next day we found ants on the countertop all over our lotions and sunscreens. We just wiped them up with a paper towel. We left with everything in tact and clean, yet we were charged an extra $70 for no apparent reason. The staff was very nice and friendly, and the location is close to the Disney Parks.

Room was ok, but not as clean as most hotels I've stayed in. Could use a little extra cleaning work. but not horrible.

I know this is an old hotel but I thought it would be in nicer up to day condition with as many quests as they potentially get being so close to Disneyland. I stayed 2 nights and found it to be very nice and close to restaurants and freeways so I didnt have to drive much. Disneyland is a 10-15 minute walk. Parking is $15/night which is ~$5 cheaper than most other hotels in the area. Staff are friendly but extremely lacking in motivation to work. The woman at the front desk was online shopping every time i walked by and not to mention I had to ask 3 times (3 different front desk people) to get a "do not disturb" sign for my door since there was not one in the room already. Their solution....they put a piece of paper in my door card reader slot that said "DND" They just seem very lazy and un-motivated to make their guests feel welcome and taken care of. I also am a huge fitness enthusiast and their on-site gym/fitness room was surprisingly good with two eliptical and two treadmill machines, and one bike. Their dumb-bells also go up to 50lbs which was nice. I was able to get my morning and night cardio and weight sessions in without hassle. All in all it was an ok stay but i would not stay here again. There are so many other hotels within this area and next time I will look at the Hilton or Sheraton across the street even though they are only $10-15 extra/night.

Only problem was room wasn't ready at the check in time. There was already a long line to check in and to top it off, wait for an available room. We had appetizers and drinks for happy hour. Both were good.

My experience was very nice thanks to Nick (staff member) I checked in at 10:30 pm after going to Disneyland with my children. Nick was so kind he granted me and my children free breakfast ( normally is 11.99 a person) and set me up for late check out 12pm. Rooms are pleasant and quite.

The room had everything we needed. The pool is nice and the evening smores were fun. Close to Disneyland and actually closer to the Buzz/Woody parking tram. Parking available at the hotel for a fee and is worth it. Our car was fine. Busy during check in and check out, so expect that.

Walking distance to Disneyland but not as updated as expected. Toiletries were good brand

Staff was friendly, hotel had a pool and pool bar and restaurant. A little weird though thatcthe bartender was also the guy bringing food to the tables in the restaurant. Felt bad for the guy, he was running around crazy. The bar was not in a lounge though and it felt like I was sitting at a diner counter. Much nicer set-up and bat at the Sheraton across the street. I went there most nights. But for the price, Red Lion had a nice room with a much needed microwave and fridge. Bed was pretty comfortable too. Room was clean. Bathroom was a bit dirty with hair on floor but not terrible. I'd book again just because of the price and hang out across the street at the Sheraton.
