We stayed here because it was one of the few places with a room available for the eclipse. We found the staff to be very friendly, the accommodations basic, the location to I-24 convenient. It was clean and they did have guest laundry available. The fitness center had a rather rickety treadmill, a bike, and an elliptical, but all were functional. While we paid a premium for the room, I factor in the time we chose to be there and under more normal conditions would probably be value for the money.
To start with we had reservations for 2 days checking in today. The check in process because it was with a company lodging card took forever. We went to our room and the odor before you even opened the door would knock you out. It literally smelled like a cat litter box that had never been changed and 100 cats were using it daily. And thats probably me putting it mildly. You'd be safer sleeping on street corner. My husband has to be at work at 4am and now we are having to look for a room and pay for it out of our pocket. Also while we were leaving these workers that are staying there come in and 2 were so drunk they were spilling their drink all over.
Nothing special here but it was reasonable and just a quick overnight stay so it fit the bill. The room seemed clean but we did find a snuff can on the window sill. The breakfast had enough selection to keep me from having to go out to eat. The staff was friendly.
This hotel is not too clean. Creepy crawly people on the property. This area of metro Nashville is old and run down, not that great. I didn't book the place by choice otherwise I would have left upon arrival. Staff is nice but just "there"- no effort, no customer service skills, don't expect anything. Also had to call for bathroom to be cleaned after checking in.
Sheets were dirty. Requested remedy, staff was unable to get sheets changed because the housekeeping staff didn't speak English. Had to change rooms, available comparable room was smaller with smaller pull out bed. Floors in room and bathroom in both rooms did not appear to have been swept or vacuumed in a while. Interior of window was dirty. Room did not have blankets and sheets for pull out bed. Blanket received from front desk had what appeared to be a cigarette burn/hole in it. Fragrance in 2nd floor hallway was overpowering which gave the impression that an odor was attempting to be hidden. After it was all said and done, I emailed Choice hotels and made a complaint. The hotel general manager responded and was more concerned with disputing the facts I stated unrelated to cleanliness.
We stayed in room 217. Room was very dark, not enough lighting and the bathroom was even worse for putting on make-up. The sheets were like sandpaper. Dust from about the last six months on top of the picture, the remote control did not work to turn the tv on or off. It needed vacuuming badly. The shower curtain would not close close to the wall by the shower head. The ceiling was painted but they forgot to come back and paint around the smoke alarm or the sprinkler head in the ceiling. Breakfast was your typical free one the gals at the front desk were very pleasant. It was located right off the highway but I would not recommend it, not for $85 a night.
I booked last minute, but my booking site didn't let me request a non smoking room and they were full so I could not switch. My mini fridge was broken, as was the screen on my window. However the place was clean, the girl working the front desk was nice, and the breakfast was decent l
Stayed overnight on a road trip, when I checked in the woman was fast and courteous. and I was in my room in less than 10 minutes. Very clean and modern room. In the morning breakfast was the usual fair. however I had a problem with the waffle maker which I have used many different one's before. The woman working the morning shift was there in a second to help me. I was very satisfied with the staff
Irritated that when we arrived we said we had two small dogs and were told extra charge of $20., but when checked out it was $20. per dog! Others in the area do not even charge at all! The room charge for a so-so room so $99. So we paid $153.60 for an overnight, definitely overpriced. The hallways smelled like stale smoke and the side exterior door lock was open all night, perhaps broke, so no key was needed, a free-for-all access point. Wi-Fi signal poor, kept knocking us out too. 🙀
The pool was 90 degrees with no chlorine and scum COVERING ENTIRE top of pool. Hot breakfast included NO gravy, cold eggs, no milk for cereal, and and she wasn't about to bring out anything hot. No sheets for fold out. No cups in room to drink from. Fold out was unbelievably uncomfortable. we ended up putting mattress on floor. This was, by far, the most expensive yet worst room of an 11 day travel from Indy to Florida. Wifi free, but it took my son to get in after 10 minutes trying (he's 25). Price to benefit,,,Go across the street. Ac incredibly loud and kicks on and off all night. Turn it off and you get everyone else's ac kicking on and off.
