This hotel is absolutely disgusting! Blood on the wall, roaches, ripped fire sprinklers/detectors and plumbing issues! They wouldn't refund me,or move me to a new room. Gave ME a plunger to fix toilet MYSELF. *SO RUDE SO DISGUSTING BEWARE*
Sheets ripped, sink dirty and chipped, sticky surfaces, daughter having allergy problems, disgusting. Wish I would have checked reviews first. Can't get money back. They have a sign that says after 10 minutes, no refunds. You have been WARNED! I will post this everywhere so no one else is subject to this dirt and potential allergy problems.
This hotel looks wonderful in the photographs, and the outside looks decent. This Hotel is absolutely disgusting. When walking into the room there was an awful odor! The room looked slightly decent when the lights were off. Once they were on you could see all that was wrong!!!!! The comforter on the bed had gashes in it. There were stains all over the couch in the room. The bathroom was just the worst. The door didn't close all the way due to half of the door frame missing, there was dirt all over the tub as if it had not been washed! There was mold growing in the ceiling as well as the ceiling in our room caving in. There were some sort of bugs living in the room. My boyfriend woke up with bites all over him!!!! This hotel is not clean at all!! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!! I wouldn't even give it a single star! This place is just awful!
Let me Begin by saying it's a red flag when a company only give you 15 minutes to get a refund. My family was in Alabama for a funeral , a relative told us about this hotel because it was close to the church we went through 5 room before we found one that was decent enough to stay in in the word decent is speaking too highly of this room. The first room was a single bed when I paid for a double bed the second room had wires coming out of the wall no lamp shade and the frames were broken on the bed the third room was a smoking room and we are non-smokers and it smelled horrible, but it didn't have any cold water it only had hot. The Next Room had a broken toilet seat meaning the seat was circle-shaped and the toilet itself was an oval shape so not only was it not the right toilet seat on the toilet it was not even attached my mother literally picked up the toilet seat! In addition, in this room there was dried up food on the heater and hair on that broken toilet with not even a fourth of a roll of toilet paper and not a fresh roll in sight.....Gross!!! the fourth room the TV didn't work and went on and off by itself, the refrigerator was broken and it was just in poor condition as the other rooms. If you ask me these people need to be reported and be out of business because not only are you getting paid for people to stay there but I feel like it is a health hazard to stay there, from utter filthiness to nonexistent smoke detectors, and wires hanging out of the walls. The only reason we stayed there is because they would not give us our money back and everyone was exhausted from a 12-hour drive, Including my 84 year old grandma. I asked the young lady at the desk if she own this property and she said no it's a family-owned business and my mom later found out if they've had this hotel for 10 years, but the problem is they have not done anything to get this building up to code. My question is how can you rent a room that doesn't have a functioning toilet no smoke detectors , and filthy. Oh and I forgot to mention that all of the sheets had holes in them from the top sheets to the fitted sheets and all the comforters look like they were shredded so my question is again what are they doing with this money that they are getting for these rooms because they are definitely not reinvesting into this property and clearly they don't care about the health and safety of their customers. The next morning as we were getting ready for the funeral it was only about 9 a.m. and the workers kept asking my family members are they finished in their rooms and are they leaving and we still had 2 hours until checkout which I felt was extremely rude especially after what we went through trying to get a decent room. I understand that the Americas Best Value Inn are owned by different owners but with this experience I will never ever ! stay in a hotel that even has a similar name !
I honestly wouldn't give this place even one star. This is THE worst hotel EVER. They're unprofessional and the room's power wasn't on when we arrived back. They had to swap our room times because they wouldn't be generous enough to give a refund. There were bed bugs on the mattresses, poor cable, the sheets had stains on them, and the mattress bed were chipped. This hotel is a scam and I wouldn't recommend anyone here.
Infested with cockroaches, holes in the walls, holes in the doors, hair in the bed, toilet was obviously not cleaned before I was given the room. I wanted to put my things back in my car after I saw several cockroaches, but I was afraid all of my things would be stolen.
I stay there every now and then, and never had any problems. I see on the other reviews saying the staff are rude. I have never seen that. They are very nice, and the girls are real cuties. They are really great, and helpful. Housekeeping are great too. They are really nice people. One time I forgot my $1.00 walmart flipflops there. When I came back a week later, that sweet lady had them in a plastic bag on her cart, and gave them back to me.Will come here to stay whenever I decide to get awayfrom it all. Edgar Teague
This place is a DUMP!!! Since I had stayed in an America's Best in another state and it was okay, I decided to stay regardless of other reviews. Upon my arrival the air conditioner in my room didn't seem to be working and after waiting a little while to see if it was indeed broken, I called the front desk to report it. A few minutes later a man came to my room, checked the air conditioner and told me that it was broken and that I would be moved to another room. I gathered my belongings and placed them back in my vehicle to walk to the office to get the key for my other room. As I was walking down the sidewalk a woman approached me from the room two doors down and offered me "sex or anything else you want" (her words were not NEARLY as clean as those I am using here). I kept walking and thankfully she stopped following me because a car pulled up in front of her room and she went back and went in the room with a man who got out of the car. I reported this to the gentleman at the front desk who identified himself as the manager and he shrugged his shoulders and told me what room I was moving to. I took the key and went to the new room. When I opened the door a man was standing across the room with a towel wrapped around him (yes I was sent to a room that was already occupied!!!) He reached his hand into a bag that was laying there and I was afraid he was reaching for a weapon so I slammed the door and went back to the office. I told the man at the desk what had happened and he asked, "Are you sure?". One of their employees was standing at the desk and said, "Yeah, I was up there earlier and there is someone in that room." I told him that I wanted my money back and he refused so I called the police. Once the officer arrived I explained to him all that had occurred and that I wanted my money back. The officer went into the office and in a few minutes came back out and told me that they were refunding my money. I went into the office and they returned my money (the manager and another employee were both at the desk this time and both were EXTREMELY rude while refunding my money and neither were apologetic during this entire incident). I went back outside where the officer was waiting and told him that I had received my money and thanked him for his help. I reported this incident to America's Best home office and was told there was nothing they could do because the hotel is privately owned and the company couldn't "really do much other than contact the property owner". Within a few days of contacting America's Best, I received a VERY nasty email from the manager telling me that I had lied about this incident, that I was the one who escalated it because I was "rude and yelling at everyone" and at the end of the email asked me to visit the property again so "we can show you that it was your attitude and rudeness instead of that of the staff which caused this problem". Really, you want me to stay here again? NO WAY!!! Stay far away from this America's Worst Dump & Inn, pay a little more and stay elsewhere!!!
Talk about the typical foreign owned hotel! This place epitomizes everything bad a hotel can have. Open drug dealers selling next door, people in and out all night, torn comforter, skinny thin dry and rough towels, blood stains on the bathroom door jam, one piilow obviously not cleaned from the last tenant, filthy carpet, no remote control, no coffee maker, tiny bar of soap. I am amazed that they still have a franchise. Except for the attractive daughters at the desk there is NOTHING good about this dump. Please do not stay there. AND they are cheating the franchise too, not using the computer for check in and writing out a small slip for you to sign, that way they avoid the franchise fee too.
This motel is absolutely horrid. Neighbors are very sketchy looking and I had one begging money from me. People are in and out all night long slammin doors and playing loud music. Burn marks on the bath tub and it looked like it hadnt been scrubbed in over a year. Burn holes in the ill fitting sheets. Sink was cracked and stained. The pool has been shut down for years. Tomorrow doesnt look good either. Avoid at all costs
