Building next door blocks sun in pool area most of the afternoon ,the only drawback for location

Check-in on Sunday night fast and efficient. Room 1126 pleased with overall appearance. Sleeping was another issue, we were close to the noisy street end of hotel. The following morning we requested to be moved and were told they were booked until 2-23 and it would not be possible. When using the shower I discovered the bathtub faucet only functioned on shower. We were moved within 10 minutes to room 810, much better room over pool area away from street. Hot tub and safe did not work in room. An engineer fixed jet tub and I fixed safe. The following day I found a large roach in room. I called housekeeping 3 different times for removal and spraying. After advising front desk was informed the "engineers" sprayed room. Paint was flaking off bathtub clogging jets.Onsite restaurant Kitchen 305 overpriced and noisy.

We enjoyed our stay and could not have asked for more. I loved our view. Bed was awesome and Hotel staff were super friendly. We would highly recommend this Hotel to others and would definitely return again. I loved the fact that we were on the beach and good restaurants were all with in walking distance.

Right on the beach, nice swimming pool and good outdoor hot tub.

Beach was amazing. Hotel is older. Needs some updates. Loads of broken and unfixed things. The lobby and restaurant is new and they are both amazing. Rest of hotel needs some help. Good area. Wish it was closer to place to walk to.

Hotel is s bit outdated but overall the location is great and the rooms are spacious! We enjoyed our stay will definitely stay here again!

Check in/check out always had a line of people, shouldn't be so complicated. Nice employees, beach very nice, tiki bar specials, lounge chairs were free which was a shock. Food was very good! 18% gratuity plus 9% tax was always added to bill. A1A sooo busy by hotel so bypass it.

Easy check in and check out. Walking distance to many places to eat and shop. Friendly staff. Pretty busy lobby. Overall perfect for what we needed.

The sinks were not draining, overall hotel lobby looks nice but the rooms are not that great. Balcony is very small

Don’t be fooled by the pics online. Place is dated. Bugs in the room. Bed uncomfortable, blankets and sheets hard and dirty. Also house keeping does not clean your room everyday. Called the front desk and they stated that you don’t get your room cleaned depending on the room type you selected. “Booked a family suite” Obviously this is true because the room was gross. The shower was dated, dirty, hot water doesn’t even get hot. The front lobby is nice looking but the hallways are nasty and the carpet is coming up and filthy. Location is about 30 minutes from south beach. Take an Uber not a taxi. Would never stay here again nor recommend staying here. Spend the extra money and stay closer to south beach

Beware. The staff keeps your change every time you pay. No matter how much. So in two transactions they kept 15.00. Then denied it. Building location is great. This was our third stay in 15 years and our last. We can’t tolerate thieves. All gratuities were already included on our bill

Quite disappointed with my stay at Newport beachside. The hotel was not nearly at compact but I was placed on the third floor where families and events were held. Not to mention my room was the second one beside the elevator and the event room. The cleanliness of the room was mediocre at best. There were colour ink on the sofa and pink felt markings in the bath tub. It was a convenient location with eateries and CVS across the street. Uber rides towards local attractions were reasonably priced between $5-$15 Overall, it was an OK experience. I paid a decent price for the hotel and didn’t feel it was worth what I paid.

I recently took my family to Florida as we wanted to experience a warm weather Christmas this year (we live in NJ). We flew into Miami and rented a car for the duration of the trip. We drove down to Key West and spent the first few days in that area. We had a great time and stayed at a nice resort. We drove back up to Miami on Christmas eve and planned on staying 5 more nights at the Newport Beachside Resort. I had pretty high expectations going into this stay. The photos of the resort looked beautiful, the reviews on Orbitz were pretty good and it's Miami so I didn't think much could go wrong. I was immediately disappointed when I entered my room. The lobby was nice but everything outside of that was extremely outdated. The rooms appeared to be furnished with appliances and fixtures from the 90's. Everything looked extremely worn out and quite frankly dirty. Not what I expected when I booked a room that costs well over $200 a night plus daily resort and parking fees that brought the cost closer to $300 a night. I was also disappointed to discover that the pool and beach area were not much better. The pool was outdated and extremely dirty. Guests left their trash everywhere and it seemed like the resort did not have enough staff to keep the property clean. The hotel was on a prime piece of property right on the ocean which was gorgeous. However, the beach was also very dirty as guests left trash all over. Long story short, we flew home 4 days early.

Should be cleaner ! Staff can be more helpful with guests...

Not enough plug Ian's. Shower didn't work.nice beach .the pier bar was out ragest.

Hotel is really nice and the rooms are beautiful. It’s right on the beach and has a few pools and bars both inside the hotel and by the pool/beach. The one negative is that they give you a card for towels but you only get 1 card per person and it’s 1 towel per card!

I really don't have any complaints be side I wish housekeeping come to check on our needs everyday. Didn't see them at all on a Saturday. But overall I was surprised I was a little worried after I booked the wrong hotel after reading reviews. But end up being ok vacation spot.

Felt very welcomed from the beginning. Nice staff from the valet to the housekeepers. Great location and a good value. Room was clean and tidy and the property is very safe. Good breakfast. One suggestion to the hotel. Open up the Starbucks / convenience store in the lobby earlier (opens at 7:30). We will stay here again if the opportunity arises.

good hotel...bar made strong yummy drinks not expensive at all...the beah was beautiful...clean clear waters and a romantic pier.

The room was very outdated and old. The couch smelled as if it had mold in it. The elevators kept getting stuck. The vent in the hall way leaked water. The lobby and outside area were just like the pictures. I was truly unsatisfied with the look of the room. Staff at the bar inside always had an attitude. When we asked for a drink? She cut us off to take s phone call and never returned to complete the order or bring the drinks. There was one person "Rhonda" who was great she was at the outside bar. Also the bar inside kitchen 305 was great.
