crap

the hotel is in a good area unfortunately the staff service is not good.

The best thing about this hotel is how close it is to the beach. I knew about the construction beforehand. The rooms look horrible, dirty, and even had giant water bugs. The shower was disgusting (I couldn’t make myself use it) stains on the curtains and sheets. I would not return

I booked this hotel based on the photos on Orbitz which looked pretty good. I was traveling with family and young kids, so cleanliness, parking and amenities of the hotel are high priorities for me. When we reached, there was outside construction going on. It is located in a busy intersection of a super busy street. I checked in and they asked me to park my car in a off site parking lot which was across the street. It was very difficult to cross the street as there's no light for pedestrians and it was like a five streets intersection. So that was the first problem which can be overlook if the other things meet your expectations. They have a mask policy displayed in their lobby but half of the customers were not wearing masks and no one was enforcing anything. Once we checked in and went to the room, we were just horrified. It DOES NOT look anything like photos. The entire room and décor looked from 1980's trucker stop. Everything was dated and old. The room it self looked dirty. The sofa bed handles were ripped and all the furniture were chipped and cracked. I was traveling with a toddler and she picks up everything from the floor. The carpet looked old, dirty and moldy. I called the front desk and requested a different room and they said they didn't have anything available. I knew I could not stay there for one night. I immediately booked another hotel and checked out. I don't recommend this place to anyone.

I usually don’t write reviews but I want others to have an informed decision before they make it. The hotel was really rundown and noisy. While it is under renovation, there really shouldn’t be anyone staying here until renovation is complete. Construction noises right outside of our balcony. Blue tape was across our oceanfront windows from where they replaced the windows. Again, the work was not complete. Baseboard was coming off of the wall and there was also no heat. The place where the tile and carpet met was a ledge that could have messed up somebody’s toe. The lights in the bathroom didn’t work but thankfully they sent someone up later to fix them. Toilet paper ran out so we used Kleenex. Housekeeping is not changing sheets nor apparently checking for toilet paper. The jets on the jacuzzi tub in our room was faded yellow so they tried to paint them white but paint peeled off. The outside of the building does not look like the picture. They say they give you two complimentary chairs at the beach. Forget about getting chairs unless you get up at 6 and wait for them to put them out. People were putting their towels on them early and leaving so they were taken up. Said they only setting out a few chairs due to Covid but people were setting on towels between the chairs so social distancing wasn’t really the reason. My wife tried to move a pool chair down to the beach but got lectured. Front desk said the “small print” said if chairs were available then we got two per room

The only positive things about this hotel were the bartenders, the pool guy Jeremy and the food was pretty decent. Everything else was subpar at best. I had stayed at this hotel in 2016 and it was a great experience....not so much this year. I will never stay again.

Location and beach was perfect. Hard time getting beach chairs or cabanas. We stayed in line since 7:30 every morning and not always had enough beach chairs or umbrellas. When we did check out, they added couple hundreds charges that not belong to our room number. Luckily, they removed it but resort fee was pretty high for each room as well as parking lot.

property was under construction during my stay , lot of noise and sometimes floor in the hotel was duty , have to use different parking lot ( cross the street )

The location of this hotel is amazing. Literally on Sunny Isle Beach next to the boardwalk. I was disappointed in the condition of the hotel. I was charged an additional $29.00 dollars a night for a resort fee $25.00 dollars a night for parking. Unfortunately i did not feel that this hotel qualified as a resort. The lobby of the hotel was very nice the room we stayed in was very old and run down. I felt the room was equivalent to a $30.00 dollar a night motel. The tub would not drain and was chipped through out. The air filter in the room looked like it had not been cleaned in years. Paint and drywall were pilling off of the walls, the carpet in the room and hallways were stained and very old. The vehicle parking was off site making it a bit of an inconvenience to get to your vehicle. This hotel gets away with calling themselves a resort because of its location, that is truly it. I promise you it is not resort quality. If you are paying just under $200.00 a night for the room $29.00 dollar a night resort fee $25.00 dollars a night for parking, I was expecting much better quality. The good thing is they are currently under construction attempting to improve the appearance of the building, be advised construction starts at 8:00am. There is no way you can sleep in as a result of that, the noise is very loud. I would not stay at this location again.

Horrible place and horrible staff, place is under huge construction which they do not tell when you book online, but when you arrive for check in they make sign acknowledgment of the construction and by that time it is too late to go look for another place specially if you have 3 young kids that are tired from a long trip. Staff is rude and completely unprofessional, you ask for towel 4 times and you never get them. they don't allow you park the car in the front and go check in, you have to park across the street then come inside for the check in. place is dirty and very old. stains on the bed sheet, dust is everywhere.

Loved the heated pool and Tiki bar next to the beach.

The hotel was undergoing renovations which was not communicated at all before we booked. There was very loud construction for 12 hours a day and constant jack hammering. They refused to accomodate any room changes. The staff had attitude about everything.the parking coordinator was very nasty and went to grab the car keys from my husbands hands bc he wanted the car moved immediately when my husband was unloading our luggage and children to the front door. There was no room service, not even a hair dryer in the bathroom. They charged for parking after the entire stay which was not communicated that we had to pay for parking when we booked. The parking wasnt even convenient it was across a 6 lane main rd and no valet service at all. We did not enjoy this stay at all, not worth the cost we could have stayed at a much nicer hotel for the cost of this resort.

Overall unimpressed. Room was only partially renovated; 90’s style with a modern twist. Room was really clean but the bathroom not so much. Air conditioner was really loud; so loud that when it kicked on at night it would wake us at times. The walls are also thin enough you can hear guests in surrounding rooms. We had 3 people and a room with a king bed and fold out sofa. We had to ask for linens for the foldout. Even then we were only given a fitted sheet and flat sheet. Had to ask twice more before getting a blanket and pillows for it. We had a poolside room. Pool hours are 8a-8p. The hours aren’t enforced and it gets rather loud in the pool area later at night so don’t expect to get to sleep before midnight. Parking is offsite across the street (a very busy street) and costs $25 a day which was a surprise to us. The gift shop and coffee shop also did not operate the hours that they had posted. The coffee shop closed 1-2 hours early each night depending on how busy they were. The gift shop just seemed to randomly be open at odd hours throughout the day. The good parts. As stated previously, aside from our bathroom, our room was spotless. The bed was super comfy. The view from our room was stunning. They offer complimentary beach towels. The staff was very friendly. There is onsite laundry, fitness center, spa, and dining. The beach is clean, gorgeous and right there connected to the resort.

My family stayed at Newport Beach Hotel and Resort for four nights and had a wonderful time. There was plenty of warnings about current remodeling situation but we weren’t at the hotel during the day so that was not a problem for us. Great location if you want to visit Keys, Miami Beach or even Orlando Parks because all is within driving distance. I would definitely stayed there again and can’t wait to see how the place looks like after renovations.

The property is under construction so there is load npise from power tools all day and they dont tell you that until you check in which in my opinion is too late if you prepaid for your reservation.

Great location by the pier. Very noisy construction going on.
