The staff was friendly. The towel rack was dusty. Heating unit had a functioning thermostat but was still noisy when running. We turned it off before falling asleep.

The Landmark is a gem. We stayed in a Lakeview room that had been stayed in by Amelia Earhart in 1932. The property is beautiful and was decorated for the holidays. We had dinner at the pub, and it was delicious. The Crow's Nest on the 6th floor is a must; they have an excellent selection and make a mean martini. My only complaint is that the doors to the rooms are loud when closing, and when I say loud, I mean wake you from the dead loud. Otherwise, a lovely stay.

The room was beautiful. the hotel was beautiful, the food was superb. But I won't stay there again. For such a beautiful, historic hotel, when we checked in, we thought there was some type of costume theme going on. Honestly, first impressions are lasting. I would think the hotel would want to present a professional image. That was not the case. We were embarrassed as we had guests from out of the country, their first time there, we had told them what a beautiful, historic hotel, then the person checking us in was not professional in appearance in any way. It was horrible. We will not stay again, so sad. If that is the best image they can present to represent their beautiful hotel, we will stay elsewhere.

Corny room. It looked half-furnished with mismatched lamps. Edges to window cornings unpainted. Layers of dust. I spoke with several staff members who said that the management company (Minnesota-based?) doesn’t care about the property or its employees. It shows. Mattresses sucked too.
