We stayed in the basement room which was very small, dirty and uncomfortable. It was extremely hot and humid, so we had to have the very small window constantly open, however this did very little to help and let in the steam which was coming from the vent immediately on the other side. The room was just big enough for a double bed and a small path around it. The carpet was filthy and covered in stains. The "duvet" had cigerette burns and the mattress was slashed, however the bed sheets were clean but it was too hot to use them so we put them on the floor to walk on. The small wetroom was grubby, and the tiles were falling off and plaster was smeared everywhere. We also shared it with a very large beetle. Our "view" was the fire escape, which was covered in paint tins, building material and rubbish bags - the street was immediately above us, so people walking by could look down into our window. The receptionist was quite uninterested and offered little help when we asked where we could park - or how to get to our room! We didn't stay for the breakfast as we just wanted to get out, but we found a lovely cafe close by - the location of the hotel is very good!

The two bright sides of our visit to the Wedgewood hotel: 1. Reception did deal with the pot-smoking, music blaring, shouty "troublemakers" next door after we asked. 2. We didn't actually get murdered through the insecure ground floor window at any point. At 11:30pm the night of our stay, we'd have considered this a win.

We arrived late at night having fitted in a couple of show on our first day... the check in was quick and simple and we were directed to our room. We were on the first floor, which was a bonus as the lifts weren't working! The room was a twin with a small wardrobe and a shower room ensuite. We didn't have breakfast as we had an early appointment, so I cannot comment on that. The room was basic, but functional and clean, but if you want luxury this is not for you, but it did exactly as advertised.

Booked a double room was given a twin room asked to change offered a room in the basement you could not sleep there for the smell of gas The bed was a camp bed very uncomfortable Breakfast is poor toast and cereal Very small rooms you don't want to take to much luggage

We booked a triple room, a double bed and a single bed. Without luggage this room would have not been big enough but with luggage is was almost impossible for three people to get around. The bathroom was a cupboard! Breakfast was basic, toast, cereal tea and coffee (instant). Wifi patchy to non existent. The lovely lady on the desk during the day was helpful and friendly, location is great, you get what you pay for.

Booked this room a few times (once for my father coming to visit) Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Clean rooms and showers, friendly receptionists. For my second booking here, the were a leakage in one of the floors so they arranged for me (and others) to check into the hotel opposite them. Excellent central location - close to Bayswater and Queensway stations, Hyde Park, plenty of resturants (Greek, Lebanese, Persian, Italian) bars and pubs nearby. Good value for money and I would stay here again, but would bring some extra bits for breakfast, or plan to eat out as their breakfast in unimpressive and far from filling.

The room was too small to stand in next to the bed. We had to squeeze through to get from one place to another. Breakfast was bread, butter, jam and serials. Bed was auful, not recommended for any one who still needs his/her back. Although, the staff was very helpfull and nice. They made our stay there bareable.

Fairly central, near Hyde Park. Clean and comfortable. Great value for a short break in London. We were pleasantly surprised after reading some reviews for this hotel, but we had no complaints. Breakfast was cereal and toast, with tea or coffee and orange juice, but for the price we paid for our stay it was fine.

Ok for value and good location. Adequate to clean up and sleep, don't expect too much. We took a twin room, was in a noisy basement and really hot. Breakfast basic but its ok. Girl in reception not very friendly.

Better than I expected for what I paid. The decor could do with a polish and spruce up. Our room was clean and tidy bathroom and towels clean. The breakfast was very basic but like I said earlier for what we paid,I could'nt complain.
