I needed a place to work from for a couple of hours. Host found me a quiet corner in bar restaurant, gave me a charger for my cellphone and served me lunch. Fantastic service in cool surroundings with good ambience.
I have stayed in many many high class Hotel around hundreds of cities around the world. This was just a brilliant experience from the time we walked into the reception. The receptionist was just superb and made the difference, her friendliness and pleasant manner was a joy and immediately made me feel we were in a special place. The hotel staff were ALL very helpful polite and treated you with a smile and respect. Very rare these days for some reason. When we going out for Diner and a show , again the Hotel receptionist made sure we knew where which direction to travel. On our return the Bar was very busy and noisy but the residents lounge( two) were peaceful and calming. Service was brilliant breakfast was perfectly cooked, lots of choices and professional served. The room was fantastic, a junior suite and every thing was so tastefully done, balanced and luxurious. Loved the bath, so deep you could swim in it. One of the best hotel made even better by Holly
This hotel is extremely well maintained, with friendly staff. The room size was large, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom clean. Will stay again next year at same time. Excellent service. Staff were helpful, friendly and very polite.
We've been fortunate enough to do quite a bit of traveling, and this hotel is one of our favorites in the world. In fact, when we returned to London, instead of branching out and trying a new place, we ended up staying at Soho Hotel for a second time. It's super chic, modern, luxurious, and swanky, yet inviting. Our favorite area is the bar/breakfast area. The decor is quite lovely, as is the overall vibe of the place. Additionally, the drinks are incredible (try a bloody mary...best we've ever had) and the food and service are both on point. The location is also fabulous as you're a quick walk to a ton of pubs, and not too far from public transportation. Would definitely recommend!
I have stayed here just before Christmas, having no expectations but a long history of trying the best hotels worldwide. Starting with my check-in, there wasn't a single thing that has disappointed me, quite to the contrary - The Soho Hotel never stopped surprising me in a positive way. The lady working at the reception was very efficient and polite, gave me exactly the room that I wanted to have, and even an upgrade. Even though the location of Soho is pretty noisy, those rooms facing the backyard are absolutely quiet, with a fantastic window isolation, and the windows open of course. There is just everything you would need in the room, and all is functioning. There was in addition some small gifts from the management in the room, and those RikRak products smell fantastic. Concierge was one of the best I have ever met in my life, even though unfortunately I don't remember his name. Breakfast room service was fabulous, a really good price for what you are getting. The spirit at the bar was just right, and the quality of cocktails is amazing. Writing this review brings back those great memories which warm my heart. I hope to visit this hotel again soon. And many thanks to the GM who manages to operate this project successfully.
A good place to come on an evening to dodge the crowds in most of the surrounding bars and pubs - there's usually a bit more space here. You pay for it though - drinks are pricey. Good place for people-watching! There are some sights!
Have visited several times for work and leisure. Used to go to film screenings downstairs and have always loved the bar. One of those rare places in Soho that's exclusive without being pretentious. Love sitting up at the bar and having a cocktail. The bar staff are generally great fun.
We stayed here on the 26th of February and it was just fab. From arrival to check out the staff could not do enough for you. Bruno in particular who showed us the rooms before we checked in to make sure they were to our liking. The breakfast was just fab and we also had a lovely evening meal in the restaurant. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation. The bedrooms and bathrooms are just the best.
Visited the Soho Hotel with husband for a birthday treat of Sunday lunch followed by film viewing. The hotel is very trendy with fantastic art and beautiful comfortable surroundings. The waiters were the best I have experienced in a hotel. Phil needs to be remunerated well as he is a first class supervisor/waiter. He commands the restaurant and politely organises his staff. Well what can I say about the food -superb!!!! The portions aren't small but nice and filling. The Sunday roast was to die for. Then we went into the screening room which is a perfect size and lots of room. The extra treat of free bottled water and popcorn was a lovely touch. I would recommend this hotel to everyone!!! Well done Firmdale - I have been to the Ham Yard and this hotel -restaurant is just as good. You have great vision.
My husband and I were going to a concert at The London Palladium and decided at the last moment to treat ourselves to a nights stay at The Soho Hotel as were we also celebrating a special occasion. When we checked in, we were given a very warm welcome by Helen (one of the reception staff) who very kindly offered us an upgrade from a deluxe junior suite to 'Room 504'. We had no idea what 'Room 504' was, but Helen assured us that we wouldn't be disappointed. That turned out to be the understatement of the year! We were absolutely stunned when we opened the door to 'Room 504'. It turned out to be the most beautifully designed huge rooftop room with an enormous terrace offering stunning skyline views of London. The super-luxurious marble bathroom featured a majestic free standing bath and walk-in shower that could have happily housed a small party. Every detail in the spotless room was nothing less than perfect. Gorgeous toiletries (RikRak - the hotel's own brand), a luxuriously stocked mini-bar, beautiful flowers, exquisite linen, an extensive spa menu, fabulous eclectic interior design....the list goes on and on. There really was everything we could have asked for and more besides. Shortly after we arrived a lovely welcome note and gift of some sublime RikRak pillow and linen spray was sent up to our room by the Deputy General Manager (Charlotte Oberg). This was such a wonderful and unexpected touch. I rang Ms Oberg to thank her for both the gift and the upgrade and during our conversation, mentioned that we were celebrating a special occasion. When the tea and cake that I'd ordered arrived (tip:try the raspberry cupcakes, they're out of this world...no ordinary cupcake for sure!), the plate was iced with a celebratory greeting and there were two glasses of complimentary champagne next to the cake! Having stayed in many world class hotels across the globe, in our experience this level of thoughtfulness is very rare indeed. The room service was incredibly fast and the Concierge could not have been more helpful, both checking the start time of the concert for us and even popping out to get me some hair tie-backs when I realised I'd left mine at home. Simply nothing was too much trouble for the hotel staff who really are a credit to the management and owners of Firmdale Hotels. The bed was hands-down the most comfortable we've ever slept in. I'm not a very good sleeper, but on this night, thanks to the sound-proofing in the room (I might add that Storm Doris was causing havoc outside but we didn't hear any of it!), the ridiculously comfortable mattress, softest linen, excellent sensitive air conditioning and aforementioned pillow spray, I slept like a baby and felt more refreshed than I have in a very long time when I awoke. I had breakfast in the room as I wanted to enjoy the views for a bit longer and my husband ate in the Refuel restaurant, both were excellent with a long, varied menu catering to a very wide range of tastes. After checkout (when I absolutely HAD to buy myself some of the RikRak toiletries that we'd used in the room and a candle to take home!), the concierge stored our bags and we had coffee in the very chilled out drawing room before heading home. We were both feeling tired and rather run down on the day we checked in to the hotel, but by the time we left, we felt throughly relaxed, recharged and very happy indeed. This was the perfect way to hit the reset button for two stressed out Londoners in need of a break. I cannot recommend The Soho Hotel highly enough. Situated right in the middle of the capital, it's the perfect place for any traveller who wants to explore the buzz of the city and all it has to offer, but is also a peaceful oasis once you're inside the building. Similarly if a Londoner just needs the ultimate destination for rest and relaxation, this is the place to check in. To sum up, The Soho Hotel really did provide us with twenty-four hours of sheer and utter bliss. We will most certainly be returning in the near future. 10/10 +++++
