There's no security in this hotel. As a female it didn't sit well w me. I was w my husband and we considered changing hotels. There were some middle eastern men that seemed very shady. They seemed to follow me around a lot and I had to be careful when walking to my room alone. They even questioned me why I was married to an American (white male). They were also questioning why I live in America and not in the Middle East. I am of middle eastern heritage so it's not a predjudice thing, but I'm an American . But they seemed veryyyy shady. They didn't seem to like that I was American. I would stay at a different hotel where there would be more security. when we checked out and asked how our stay was we told them so they took money off of our bill which was appreciated, but still didn't feel safe at night. Made me think of the movie Taken. As a female, I felt uneasy.. which normally I'm very easy going.
we paid for this hotel thru orbitz only to find upon arrival that no rooms were available. while they did provide a room at another hotel same owners, it still was not very professional way to treat guests. even worse, it appears the other hotel listed lower rates than we paid at this hotel, so apparently very sneaky too.
Great location in London. Close to everything that is going on.
This Hotel was centrally located near Piccadilly Circus, Buckingham palace, shopping and transportation. Staff was friendly the rooms were clean it restaurants across the street if I was to visit London again I would highly recommend staying in the same place! The concierge was there to help us with directions advice and anything we needed and went out of their way to look up on the Internet and Bing phone calls for us .
The whole experience of the Washington Mayfair was great. My only complaint was the uncomfortable bed. It seemed to be no more than box springs. You could actually feel them.
Great location-7 minutes from Buckingham Palace and close to Oxford Circus. Quiet rooms, noisy hallways, easy tesco/market across the street for water and snacks. A block and half from the Green Park tube station made it an easy overnighter for girls night. Great and easy for kids!
Perfect location, helpful staff, upscale shower products, so friendly, clean rooms
Our room reeked of smoke (and it was on a non-smoking floor). The beds and pillows were awful. The doors are very heavy and slam shut all night and morning, which is obnoxious. Great location though, just very uncomfortable.
Excellent location. Poor consierge suggestion. Poor maintenance of the room.
Lovely hotel in great location. Terrific staff-helpful and nice. Room was comfortable and clean. I recommend.
Being from the U.S. we are used to larger rooms but room was clean and bed comfortable. Quiet. Close to the palace and Tube. Somewhat of a language barrier at times as most of the staff we encountered did not speak English as primary language but were very friendly. Good place to stay.
They hotel was nice , location great but they failed to refresh the minibar daily
great location. 4 stars appropriate. quiet place in Mayfair but easy walking distance to many areas of London.
Great location. Nice bathroom. Bed, linens and towels not so great.
The staff was lovely, restaurant good breakfast. Our room was so hot. The engineer could not fix. We had to open window occasionally for a few minutes .We took the comforter apart and covered only with the duvet. I moved one of the beds and lots of trash under it. Not enough drawers. Weird night stands totally useless. One very uncomfortable chair with a nice table...needs two comfortable chairs. The safe was locked. Too expensive.
Great location, good value/price, very convenient rooms and bathroom but -! windows are limited to open, so stuffy in the room and non stop noise utside - a kind of huge A/C or heating from office building in front. During thd night you could think its a plant (room 711). if possible to get a room without this view/noise, it would be just a perfect stay.
The hotel was nice, bathrooms larger than most in London. The only drawback was construction going on at all hours in the street. Not being a morning person it was disconcerting to wake up to loud noise at 7 am ish...
Hotel staff were very nice and friendly. The room was quiet and the beds were comfortable enough to have a good sleep in after a long day of sightseeing. Good quality bedding sheets. Great bath products at this hotel.
Hotel was fine. Very good value for location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They were able to get me an early check-in after a redeye flight.
Hotel was in a great location. It was overall a great experience.
