We stayed at the W14 for 3 nights in November and were very happy with the room. It was spacious and modern, not noisy and the bed and pillows comfortable. We especially loved the big rainfall shower. That felt great after a cold day in London. A hair dryer was in the room too as well as a USB port to charge your phone etc. The only bad thing was that the breakfast was rather average. Not a fan of pre-toasted toast. Also no eggs for breakfast and my partner said the coffee wasn't great. Staff was lovely though and helpful. No complaints there. The room was made daily and new towels provided. All over a really good stay.
This review could easily have been 5 stars, if we were in any other room. Booked this hotel as in was on a quiet road and wanted a good nights sleep. Room 304 was on 3rd floor, up six flights of stairs. Corridors were very quiet until we approached our room, where we noticed a loud buzzing noise. As we entered the room it got louder, and even louder in the bathroom. Sounded like a helicopter overhead. You could feel the room vibrating. Looked out of the window, but it seemed the noise was coming from the loft above. Went back down to reception to be told it was the hotels aircon unit overhead and nothing could be done. Asked to change rooms but told hotel was full, then asked for a refund (as had paid in advance) to go and find somewhere else to stay and told No as it was hotel policy to give 48 hours notice for a refund. Had a terrible night lying awake and couldn't wait to get out in the morning. Felt like a torture camp, not a relaxing hotel stay. Have to say, everything else about the hotel was ok, nice pocket spring beds and bedding, good shower, good continental breakfast, easy access to the tube. Room 304 was a twin room and apparently they have very view twin rooms, so if you are booking a double you should be ok, but if you are looking for a twin, BE WARNED, go elsewhere, as it is likely you will be put in 304. Would I book this hotel again? NO.
Overall good value for money hotel. Modern decor and friendly staff. Breakfast was included, just continential but well stocked/good selection. Just a couple of issues. The hair dryer in the room did not work but was quickly replaced. The bathroom smell was not pleasant but the room looked clean. The air conditioning units outside the room were quite noisy.
This hotel was a great find. The room was comfortable and clean. Great shower. The complimentary continental breakfast was brilliant. The staff were lovely and couldn't do enough. The location was great and only a few minutes away from Baron's court underground station. We were allowed to leave our bags after checkout on the last day. I recommend this hotel 100%.
My partner and I stayed at the W14 for 8 days in October as we were in town for a wedding. We thought the hotel was great. Very clean, nice staff, good continental breakfast. We had one of the rooms closest to the reception, which wasn’t an issue because there were two doors separating the hallway and our room. The only issue we had was that on Saturday around 3 am, my partner and I were woken up by loud laughter and rowdiness. Thinking it was people smoking on the back patio and that it would end soon, we went back to bed. The next day, Sunday, we had the same issue. This time at 4:30 am, we were woken up again by the loud laughter and rowdiness. I had gotten up to see if the noise was coming from the back patio but it wasn’t. As I went to get back in to bed, I heard that the noise was coming from the room next to us. This room is even closer to the reception desk than our room. When I walked into the hallway to investigate where the noise was coming from, the noise was 5x as loud in the hallway than it was in my room. I am very displeased at the fact that the front desk representative at the time was allowing this noise to happen. When I walked into the hall and I simply looked at the man at reception, he immediately got up and said “I’ll ask them to quiet down.” It was a disappointing ending to an overall great stay at this hotel.
Comfortable and convenient, short walk from West Kensington tube station. There is no lift so be aware of stairs to climb. Staff very helpful, room was ideal for our one night stay, nice large shower and everything we needed. Continental breakfast was included in our room price, all in all a good place to stay, would definitely recommend.
The hotel installations were pretty good, the personal was also very decent, but the hotel does not have an elevator and when you are traveling with 2x 23KG bags and you get the 3rd floor assigned, it's awful . Also the check out has to be at 10:30am and for every hour of late check out you need to pay 10£.
The hotel is very good located close to two Tube station, an overground station, several bus stops, shops, some restaurants and bars within a walking 3 minutes Distance. 20 minutes and u re in the Heart of London. The hotel Located in a very quiet place, and it is very English -wich we really liked. The Staff in a hotel is friendly, the hotel is nice, clean and confortable. The double rooms are small but has a lot of place a for clothes and staffs. There is a catle in a room with tea bags and coffee wich was helpfull some cold days. The Breakfast is not variable, You can only choose from one type of ham and cheese, and i think there os no warm breakfast - or nobody offered us. They have locker room, u can leave Your baggage after Check out- but watch out it is free Till 18.00!! After they charge You. I find one thing unsympathic: they say is a strictly 10.30 checkout and they charge You every our if stay even one our Longer.
Internet price was very good and the hotel is convenient and comfortable. Internet good (not great, but good) and room is well laid out. Walking distance to 2 tube stations and near several restaurants and fast-food places. Breakfast is more than adequate.
I got a single room. Really small, it must have been the smallest room I have ever stayed in a hotel. The price was certainly high for the room, even considering the general high prices of accommodation in London. Besides that, the room was nice, clean and I cannot say that it lacked anything. Personnel was kind and helpful. I had to ask to change room, because the one I was originally given, was next to the reception and I could hear everything all the time. Real dark spot of the hotel was the really poor breakfast. Not only it was seriously lacking, the offered food was not nice, pretty average the most. If I had known that it was going to be like that I would have skipped breakfast.
