Holiday Inn Express London Hammersmith3.0 out of 5.0

This is a sweet little Holiday Inn just off King Street in Hammersmith. The Tube station is just about 2 blocks away and easy to get to from Heathrow. We spent a nice 6 nights here while attending a friends wedding in Oxford. The facility is clean and well maintained, they were even repainting the trim while we were there. The lobby is clean, the continental breakfast quite good, the people behind the counter were always helpful and available. They were always ready to provide information about the area and transport. The room is small, by American standards, but was more than roomy enough for our vacation getaway. The bed was comfy and had a selection of three pillows for your sleeping preference. The only knock I have on the hotel is that they do not have any "face" cloths available. The large bath sheets and hand towels were soft and clean, but I like a separate cloth for my face. I ended up walking a few doors down and purchased a few face cloths for 49p each, so no big deal. Overall, good hotel at a good price. If I'm in Hammersmith again, I'll stay here.
This was our second stay here this year, and we will continue to stay here each time that we visit. The hotel is in a very convenient area to two tube stations, and it is extremely safe for a female to walk by herself. The breakfast here is fresh and hot each morning, and I cannot say enough about the friendliness and efficiency of every single staff member. The rooms, facilities, and lobby are very clean. This is a world class Holiday Inn Express!
As a generic hotel within a certain price range, this hotel fulfilled all of the basic needs....clean room, comfortable bed, on site parking etc etc....we also had a nice cooked breakfast after expecting just a continental offering. The main memory of this particular visit is how well we were treated by the reception staff, they made us feel more than welcome from the moment we checked in until we checked out after a couple of days. I've stayed in so many 'mainstream' hotels where it seems difficult for the staff to even smile so the guys and girls at Hammersmith provided a very pleasant change and I would highly recommend a stay here just because of that...I'll definitely stay here again.
We stayed here three nights and enjoyed our stay. We asked for a quiet room and got one; we had undisturbed quality sleep every night. This hotel is nothing fancy but it does most things well. Our room was very clean, large (king bed and sofa), the shower had great water pressure, and we liked the USB ports on each side of the bed. The front desk service was also very friendly here and the hotel is well located just a 5-10 mins walk from Hammersmith tube station which is on the Piccadilly line with a direct tube ride to Heathrow Airport. The only negative thing about the hotel was the breakfast. It ends at 9:30 (too early) and when we went down at 8:30, there was nothing left except for cold eggs. Not even the cutlery had been resupplied. We did not go back on the second or third day since the experience was so bad. Having a great breakfast experience would put this hotel into the top range. If not, the customer should have the option to opt out and get a cheaper price on the room. There are loads of good breakfast options nearby, like Patisserie Valerie and La Petite Bretagne crêperie.
I spent here my holiday in London with my family. The service was great!Room well clean, smart breakfast in the morning and preference regarding the room as per member. The receptionist that check in us around 6pm was great!Lovely girl and really professional. This hotel is perfect for leisure and for business.Really close to the tube and well connect with the center.Around there are couple of pub and shops.I will come back. Thank you
Stayed for May bank holiday weekend with IHG reward points. Polite staff, efficient check in. Although once up in the room discovered that wifi code provided was not working. When called the reception to query they said that the code may be expired and need to wait till morning as there must be a system reset and can't be rectified at that hour. Managed to log in by registering without code, although had to figure out by myself. Not a good service. Room was nice, comfy bed. Ok for HI express bathroom with shower. Free breakfast is literally inedible!!! Went down the first morning and didn't bother on the second. It is free for a reason! No cold cuts, no cheese, omelette cannot be more plastic. Seriously disgusting. Wouldn't even consider the hotel for normal price that was 200+ per night normal rate! Location ok, 10 mins walk from Hammersmith tube which gets you almost everywhere in London with no exchanges.
Always stay here when we are at the Hamersmith as it is only a 10 min walk away. Good quality rooms and a complimentary breakfast with a friendly staff (what else would you need for an overnight stay).
We stayed for 5 days at the hotel on our family vacation in London. The hotel is very good located for Heathrow airport, about 1/2 hr. by subway and about 10 min. easy walking from the metro station to the hotel. Westfield shopping center is only 2-3 metro stations from Hammersmith. Breakfast was basic, same things day after day, but good enough for this level of hotel, with hot selections as well. Rooms were adequated enough for a couple and 1 child. Good value.
Staff very friendly, rooms lovely and very clean. Good variety of breakfast items which I know will be expanding very soon. Great access to across London on the tube and buses. Will definitely be staying there again.
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Hammersmith for one night on the 3/4 April 2017, the reason for our stay was to attend a concert at the Hammersmith Apollo, which was just around the corner from the hotel, the hotel was great the staff were all really friendly and helpful, the room was spotless the bed was really comfortable, and the buffet breakfast which was included in the price was very nice, all in all a very enjoyable night in London
