This holiday inn is conveniently located on kings rd. The beds are comfortable, the rooms newly renovated and the staff friendly and warm. The breakfast is pretty good by holiday inn standards but the coffee is not!
Great value for a budget hotel, breakfast is great, fantastic choice, and friendly staff, not easy to find in London. Easy access to the Eventim Apollo, right on the High Street, close to the Tube. All in all great value, would definitely visit again, rooms are super quiet, great nights sleep.
Despite discussing my dietary requirements in detail with the reception team on check in and with them confirming this wouldn’t be an issue, I arrived for breakfast, and the only waiter present had a very poor level of English and did not understand dietary requirements. I had to ask to speak to a manager, who also did not seem to grasp the importance of dietary requirements and herself was unsure what I could eat. Tables were not set and only a buffet breakfast was available. There was no chef on site to prepare a breakfast free of cross contamination and I had to settle for toast and fruit, certainly not s hit breakfast which I regularly receive in a range of their other hotels. Overall extremely disappointing, this hotel is not on a par with others I have stayed in within the chain. Dietary requirements and allergies should be a basic part of the F&B teams training and I’m amazed this wasn’t the case. The air con in my room didn’t work and a light flashed on and off, I waited all night for an apparent manager to come and look at it, who funnily enough never arrived. Hotel can be best described as shambolic and in need of an experienced manager to put right these issues, until then I would avoid.
Very central, close to 2 tube stations so very easy to get about. Hotel staff very friendly and the hotel spotless, very clean. There is a whetherspoon right next door which is handy. The twin room I had was first floor and very quiet, it was roomy and the bathroom clean and had soap and hair shampoo in a dispenser, there is a note to say if you arrive and have forgotten toiletries reception will have some. Breakfast was extensive and filling, all the usual choices. I can totally recommend this hotel.
Stayed one night when recently visiting the Eventim Apollo. Only a short distance from both the tube station and the venue. Staff ALL extremely friendly and helpful. Room was very comfortable with a seating area. Only complaint would be an all in one shower gel and shampoo which left my hair feeling like straw. Very comfy bed with choice of pillows. There was some noise outside when we first turned the lights out, as there is a Wetherspoons next door and being a Friday night, there was some chatting and arguing outside but not a big disturbance and once they'd moved on, got a good night's sleep. Nice bar area, charged at reasonable prices and free breakfast in the morning, with adequate choice.
From the minute we walked in (1st March 2018) at around 3pm We were greeted with a huge smile from your lovely lady at front desk (apologies for not remembering her name i think it was sevien) I had booked March 2-3rd then added an extra night 1st-2nd March but they were in different rooms. This was not a problem she moved the rooms around so we didn't have to switch. They wished me good luck for my surgery tomorrow which I thought was sweet. Room is lovely clean and bright. Only grumble would be we have a tiny radiator to heat the entire room. It is snowing at the mo and wind is whistling a bit through the window tho this is minor as I wear ear plugs anyways. Room also had an iron and a hairdryer which is much needed. Love the way the walls are lit up with bulbs behind rather than just having them come down from the ceiling.
Never been to London before since I was young. Great connections, direct tube line from Kings cross which takes about 20-30 mins on Piccadilly line. Walk from underground is only about 10mins. Lovely hotel, great, friendly staff who will do anything to accommodate you. Variety of breakfast food, continental, cooked all self service but great quality. Also offer services for takeaway food in the evening but lot of choice close by if going out. Brilliant facilities within walking distance. Bars restaurants and shopping centres. Parking available also but chargeable and limited. Stress free stay close to central London and as an ex travel agent would not hesitate a stay here again with family or friends.
Just returned from a 2 night stay here. Reception staff were a pleasure to deal with especially the gentleman who checked us in (I don’t know his name). We arrived earlier than anticipated and there was no problem in allowing us to go to our room. We didn’t get our breakfast, as we slept in too late, so can’t comment on what that is like. Rooms bright and modern. My only negative comment would be in relation to the cleaners banging on the room door early in the mornings to try gain access. I know some people would be up and gone early but we like to relax and have a slight lie in when we are on a break away! I fully appreciate that they have a job to do but , for example, the lady banged on our door again at 9.30am on the day we were checking out (2 hours later) so I’m not quite sure what that was about at all! Anyhow I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending a stay here and we will definitely be back.
Overnight stay for a concert. Handy location for tube + concert location. Easy check in, helpful friendly staff on reception. Room clean + comfortable. Bed just right. Breakfast was choice of basic hot or continental. Extra teabags/coffee/milk freely available in reception. Would stay again.
We've stayed there before so knew what to expect. Everything there you would expect for a Budget hotel. Free Wi-Fi everywhere. Onsite parking- limited 22 spaces at £15 per day. Close to all shops and Underground, breakfast with 4 hot items included. Part of the Hotel is above a pub where food and drink prices are reasonable (there is no onsite dining at the hotel) and you can still pick up the free hotel Wi-Fi. A day after checking out, I received a telephone call advising that my (Works) mobile had been found under the bed. They were prepared to post it to a maximum cost of £5 but I declined as I needed it insuring AND it is illegal to send mobiles and batteries via the post without the relevant warnings. The hotel, however, packaged up my mobile and were quite prepared to take it to the local Post Office for postage, however, after many emails back and forth,I had it collected by Parcel Force. Again, the hotel staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough to ensure that my property was taken care off and sent to me.
