We are currently staying at the Hyde Parke Suites for a couple of nights while enjoying a stay in London. Would highly recommend......VERY clean, apartment has double bed, 3 singles, equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower. Really close to Queensway tube station. Staff friendly and helpful.
Nicely situated only a few minutes walk from Hyde Park and Bayswater Underground stop. Small, modern flat with kitchen, good close spacer and small bathroom with shower. Only a few minutes walk from shops, bars, bus stop. You collect the key down the street, and walk 2 minutes to the building where the flats are. May experience some traffic noice, and there was a draft from the windows in our flat, otherwise good. The beds are vert good.
Nice area, the Greek restaurant around the corner is a must!!... Nice room quite small though, my husband is 5ft 11 and almost had to duck in the mezamine bedroom. The bathroom was teeny tiny had to sit on the toilet at a angle as there was no room for your knees!! Not enough light in the room and no mirrors... Only the tiny bathroom cabinet, that's a big no no for me!! Kitchen was adequate though I wouldn't want to cook in it and there was no wine glasses provided! Plenty of clean towels and shower gel and soap and the very helpful staff said they would provide more if needed. Had a very enjoyable stay there, good value for money as was quite central in London for everything... Very very very hot in the room no good for menopausal women... 2 fans provided but omg and it was October, would not be able to stay there in the summer!!
We expected a suite and got a match box of a room , if I wanted a hostel I would of booked one,it would of cost less . No room to move , toilet right next to bed just with a door separating , need a lick of paint walls disgusting , on a plus bedding clean . If I hadn't booked up front I would of walked out on check in , and found some where else. U have to un plug the fridge to use kettle , no cleaning at weekends . 😡spoke to another guest who had a mouse box in their room !
The good news: We only had to kill ONE cockroach. The Internet worked occasionally. The TV worked - at least a few of the channels. There was a bath tub (there was no plug, so effectively it was a shower. Hotel did not fix when asked to do so). 20 years ago, it might have had some sort of jacuzzi function. The radiators worked. Unfortunately, most of the thermostats did not - so some rooms were baking hot, others freezing cold. There were curtains. However, they could not close properly out to the little (trash filled) yard where staff walked day and night. The bad news: Walls, carpets, ceilings and even beds were stained and frankly disgusting. Smoke alarm was broken and seemed to have been so for a long time. Furniture was broken. But the lock on the door worked.
The place was filthy; dust balls covered the floor; second bed was not usable so slept on the couch; mold in the shower; shower head did not work and the repair man never returned with the part he said he needed; could not open the windows because the smokers area was located just blow in the front of the building; and more. No site should list this place.
Wow where to start. Firstly it's not at Hyde park it's in Bayswater and not a nice part seems like council flats around it. Lots of rubbish all over the steer. Receptionist seemed like she hated her job and no personality or greeting at all. The room was nothing like there website I've stayed in hostels better than this. We payed £199 a night for a 4 person room. The rooms don't get serviced. The beds were 2 singles pushed together but the springs had gone in the beds so it felt like a plank in the middle. The room felt like an oven and the air conditioning was broken. The shower was broken and unusable. The sink was blocked. The tap was rusty I wouldn't have wanted to drink from it. The stairs aren't stairs more of a ladder and a step was missing. The lights didn't work in the bathroom. Hardly any cutlery and supposed to be self contained. Wifi was bad. Reception is not at the address listed it's down the street at number 50. the list goes on and on and they don't even offer coffee or condiments of any kind only place I've ever been to that doesn't. just do yourself a favour and do not stay here our travel agent booked this for us and I wished I'd checked up on trip advisor about it before coming. After 6 weeks of travelling the UK staying in a different hotel every day all being 3-4 star rated this isn't the only horrible place we've struck but it is by far the worst.
From the outside the hotel looked lovely, the door was secure with buzzer entry but it's not suitable for disabled guests as there's steps. The staff upon check in were unwelcoming and abrupt, check in was very slow and they didn't seem to know what they were doing? I was also asked for photo ID to check in which I've never experienced in a uk hotel before! The room was in the basement, it was clean, tidy but very basic not at all what I was expecting for the price paid. It didn't look like the photos that's for sure! The room was weird and there was some kind of trap door in the floor. The bathroom was tiny and the phone reception was intermittent. However the area outside is great, buzzing with lots of pubs and restaurants. A few minutes walk from Queensway or Bayswater tube and close to Notting hill & Hyde park. I moved hotels for the second night and that was much more favourable. I'm unlikely to stay here again. There are much better and cheaper hotels in Bayswater.
Hey guys . . .... their rooms are very bad . ... do not book with them. They have everythinf broken in there. They dont even have a reception there. To complain you have to hire a cab and take a drive of 15 to 20 mins. I was taking shower and their shower broke and fell on ny head. . .... my brother was in bathroom . . .. he locked it and then it didnt open . ... we had to brake the lock... . .. their heater was not working Very vary bad experience Do not book room with thwm
Very basic to say the least, bathroom was across the landing. Directions awful, took ages to find. TV did not work all weekend, nobody responded to calls or texts. The only good thing was the tiny fridge which actually did work. And there were no smoke alarms anywhere, so if you want to smoke in your room then this is the place for you.
