The hotel smells like marijuana beginning with stepping foot on the elevator. The room was dirty with stains on furniture. Our 2nd story window was open (there are no screens) and the temperature was set to 61 in winter. This hotel was not family friendly, as adult guests were running up and down hallways, slamming doors, smoking, yelling and carrying on. We attempted to resolve with the front desk, but this went on until we checked out when the sun came up. No manager was available for us to share our concerns. We were told we would be contacted by a manager after the front desk took down our concerns and that did not happen. There is NO WAY I would recommend this hotel, especially for families.

I've stayed at this property a few times as it fits well into a bike route. This time was not good - The key I was provided for the fourth floor room did not work so with the covid situation going on I had to make more trips back to the front desk. The water in the room was lukewarm in the late evening and I had just rode 25 miles so I wanted to clean up...and not much better the following morning. And the worst part was the folks across the hall had people going in and out of their room in the 3 am - 5:13 am period and they kept letting the door slam every 10-15 minutes. (strong door returns on the doors.)

This was standard accommodation. Nothing much to like or dislike. Car is indispensable. Otherwise near things the town has to offer.

We asked for a crib to be in our room. I was told I could carry it myself. I pushed back and got to our room to find a pack n play not a crib. No mattress pad, no sheets, no blankets for our infant and it wasn’t even set up. And then powdered eggs. Don't need to say more. Definitely not worth a stay.

Property is clean, organized, has a nice breakfast - makes a good place to stay when biking in the area.

The front desk people were AWESOME!!! Jeni and Saad made my stay the best I have had in a very long time. I would be back just because of these two people.

There was nothing to not like about this place. Clean, didn't smell, great location and breakfast.

Beds, pillows and linens were pleasantly better than expected. Advertised “continental breakfast”-it was much better with eggs, meat and potatoes. Very clean!

The pool was nice, however the steps into the pool on the second day were very slippery I know of at least 2 adults who slipped and fell on the stairs. I was one of them. I was holding onto the the railing and the side of the pool because I had just seen a father slip and fall and bang his hand on the side of the pool. I slipped and fell down 2 steps bruising my left calf on the edge of the bottom step. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk staff member, Saad He had the father wipe down the stairs. I asked Saad for an accident report form to fill out and he said "We don't think we have those" and walked away. I was sitting pool side with my leg on ice that another guest was kind enough to get for me. I was very disappointed that you staff was not more concerned about my injury. I had to alter my plans for the rest of my stay do to swelling and bruising of my left calf.

The breakfast was quite good, and my room was clean and large. The elevator is very slow and there is not enough parking.

Easy to get to, cleaner and fresher than most. Popcorn and cookies from 6 to 8 is a nice touch.

I was blown away by this place. This is by far the nicest hotel in Kalamazoo; I have stayed in many! The rooms are HUGE and CLEAN. The cleanliness is priority. Although I didn’t use the pool, it looked great. Breakfast consisted of a little more than just the basics and staff was incredibly friendly. WiFi was reliable and there were many pillows and great amenities! I cannot wait to book my next stay here. Choose this location, you will not be disappointed.

The mattress had such a depression in it I wasn't sure I would get out in the morning. Reasons I normally book better rooms

If you are booking through Orbitz or another online provider other than going directly thru BW they will give you the room immediately outside the elevator. Which means you hear the elevator and chatter of everyone on it all night. There was a leftover gross t-shirt behind the chair when I plugged laptop in-terrible cleaning. Requested nicely a new room location from from front desk and he lied saying they were ALL booked for night. Could not have been more than 1/3 booked based on parking lot. With all the choices in the immediately are DO NO pick this place!
