For the price everything was as expected.
The room was clean, but the bathroom had a few minor inconsistencies: for instance on the first try toilet barely flushed, but did correct itself, shower curtain was a little loose, and I had a hard time finding a way to engage the shower and the desk when called didn’t help . It worked out , but usually Day Inn Joplin is better than that.
I loved the patio door that led directly out to the parking space. It reminded me of the old motels of many years ago, no elevators.

The late check in went well. Room was a little musty but overall clean
People shouting in the hallway at 3AM. Also people outside the hotel being loud.
Front desk staff was unfriendly and ill-prepared. Check-in was unacceptably slow and difficult. Room was paid through Orbitz, but the motel tried to charge again. Room was reserved for a visiting family member, but my local ID address prompted an immediate negative reply. Otherwise, just your normal, regular, low-mid-range motel.
Rooms were clean, roomy, staff were responsive. Would like cooked oatmeal for breakfast but the eggs were good.
