Three Apples Suites and Hotel3.0 out of 5.0

I enjoyed the location of this hotel, close to the airport bus drop off station, close to Taksim square, close to Maksim Metro Station and Bus central station. The room is spacious but very basis and rustic. I only had a fridge, kettle and some basic kitchen utensils available. You need to bring your own coffee, sugar, milk, etc. There was soap and shower gel available and the towels were changed every day. The room also had a flat screen TV with various channels, but not enough English. Breakfast was very basic with bread, cheese, processed meat slices, boiled eggs, jam, honey, etc. including coffee and tea. No variety was provided. The walls are thin as you can hear your neighbours. About 20 m away is a main street, with some shops and restaurants. This was useful and you can enjoy some local cuisine. The hotel staff was very friendly, Ali provided me with directions on using the public transport.
Good location. Good staff.poor breakfast.small rooms.air conditioner broken.no lifter for 5 floor building.Damp in rooms.Triple room changed to double room in last minute.only main thing was grate (staff so nice
This is the 5th time i come to turkey , i always take the same suit in three apples . Perfect hotel , excellent staff , and good price . I advice every traveller to come to three apples suit , and be sure that you will be well treated by the owner and staff
We spent five excellent days in Istanbul (May 2015) and thanks to “3 Apples” it went smoothly without any problems as we could have a real rest in that nice, quiet hotel after exhausting hiking throughout the city. Recommend!
I had booked Apartments with 3 Apples for two different dates through Expedia. 3Apples have 3 properties at 3 different locations in Istanbul. Management want all customers to check in at their HQ irrespective of property you have booked. This rule is never highlighted in their booking printout issued by Expedia. Nor 3 Apples bothered to inform us. During our first date of booking, we kept searching for property, Nobody around knew about it . Finally we could trace it. The Apartment did not bear any name of 3 Apples . The premises were locked and no representative to check in. Next date we could locate their HQ. Mr Bakulu was attending the desk. He did not show any visible regrets for hardship we faced , except a casual sorry. All the time he was blaming Expedia for this fiasco of ours . as if it was not managements' responsibility . Certainly an experience to be forgotten as early as possible. Property was ok for the price we paid. The cleanliness is less than desired as most of the utensils were left unwashed as kept by previous customers. towels were not replaced with fresh ones.
This is my second stay in 3 apples suites. I recommend to all my friends because of next factors: 1. Low cost; 2. friendly and helpful staff; 3. clean and quite rooms; 4. easy to upgrade; 5. convenient location and easy access to public transport. In 2013 we were staying in Elmadag. Pros: 1. Clean; 2. Quite; 3. Excellent staff. Cons: 1 Slightly far away from main center.
If you are looking for a mid range centrally located 'hotel', this is the place for you. It is nothing fancy, but staff were helpful and friendly at all times. The room was serviced every day and despite some reviews, noice levels were low. This is nothing fancy, but it was clean, and did not cost an arm and a leg like many of the other hotels in the area. I travel to Istanbul every other year, I will stay at 3 Apples again. To the gentelman (I think it was actually the owner) who carried my suitcase weighing 34 kg to the top floor suitte, thank you so much!
No cleaning services in this hotel. We stayed four nights..we had to ask for cleaning services and every time we ask for the services it was delayed and not done properly. We reserved two suites and the hotel provided one in the first floor and the second one on the fourth floor. The rooms were very smelly with prior smokers ... The neighborhood was very nasty and unhealthy.. The residence hotel is far from the lobby ...walking through the nasty neighborhood to complain at the lobby was terrible ... Staff were trying to charge us more and they hardly can understand ir speak English ..not recommended at all ..we made a big mistake and the rating "good" is just "wrong" rating
We booked over the internet and planed two weeks as the reviews were mixed, but we are happy with little, so we booked firstly one week only. The usual procedures, credit card details to secure the booking. Once we arrived at 6.30 pm, we checked into the place and were told to wait till someone was coming to help us with the suitcases. We waited 60 minutes, nothing, then a power cut just in that area of the three Apple Suites, the next door building had power, and the building behind us as well. " it's the first time, the receptionist assured us, so we went to Taksim square to get a bite and a drink, only 1 minute walk away. Very nice location. As we enjoyed the area time passed and we called if the power was back, at 1130 pm yes, we could check in now. Being on the fifth floor, with 3 suitcases was not ideal with a 90 cm wide staircase, but with brake in each floor we managed. Beautifully terrace and balcony. Had a good night sleep, breakfast next day, well, warm curled up cheese, warm curled up sausage, nothing to write home about, but coffee. Me tried not to go more than once a day down or up given that my wife had a walking disability. The city is beautiful and I would go back again, then we booked our second week, but asked to be moved down a few floors. 2nd floor seemed fine, the apartment, well no more balcony as advertised, a bed, the fridge was very iced up and the floor has never seen a bit of water, bathroom, oh my god, the shower cubical was full of black fungi and mould around all areas, but second floor...we had more power cuts again almost daily, specially during the World Cup games. When we checked our online banking, we noticed that the first time our booking fee was charged 3 days prior to arrival, in full, and on the same day charged again, with no explainable reason, as we went down to reception, with loads of difficulties we showed the very little English speaking guy that it had been charged twice, he was shaking his shoulders, and said I speak to my friend tomorrow, next day nothing, friend did not show. Accountant appeared on Tuesday with not one word English, and it seemed that the money was taken twice and put back once. So no explanation or sorry neither did we got refunded the banking charge of which the bank charged us for paying twice, neither an apology, they blamed our bank for paying twice...... Conclusion, yes I would go back to Istanbul, as very nice and clean, but not to 3 apple Suites which seemed very unorganised, but mainly very dirty and no effort in addressing matters of cleanliness despite calling the attention of the staff.
My wife and I (26 & 27) stayed there for three nights, when we got there the staff was very welcoming and helpful. It's literally 1min away by foot from Taksim Square and 30 min away from Atatürk Airport (it cost us 50TL to get there from the airport). We took the Deluxe Suite (Room 309 to be more specific) that looked way bigger and fancier in the pictures, I had to carry our luggage three floors up the narrow stairs cuz they have no elevator which still wasn't really a problem since we were traveling light. The second we stepped into the room we could smell the horrible sewers smell in the room that came out of the drain in the bathroom and that you can smell everywhere in the hotel and surrounding area. The room was clean but during our 3 nights stay nobody came not even once to clean the room. Breakfast wasn't too fancy, very basic but honestly was enough for us to start the day. All in all apart from the smell if you're traveling light and you're not too demanding Three Apples would do the trick if you don't find any other place for cheaper.
