Nice place to stay , in Taqseem near to the market and restaurants and Besfor view. nice rooms and service nice restaurant has a good view. rooms are big enough. easy access to the city and transportation near to the metro station.
My husband and I stayed in a standard room for 7 nights. While our stay was not bad, I would certainly not rate this establishment as 5 star, reasons being: - Besides the towels being changed each day, it did not appear that our bathroom or room were cleaned at all. A cup that we used on day 1 in the bathroom had still not been cleaned / changed by day 7 - Toiletries were not replenished daily - The sheets were torn. I had to request for these to be changed - The carpet in the room looks as though it has not been cleaned in months - The breakfast was monotonous with the exact same dishes being served the entire week - The gentleman standing at the front door would sometimes open the door for you and other times, when he saw you approaching, would turn his back on you and pretend he didn't know you were there - None of the staff in the reception area ever greet. It's as though you are invisible. On the up side, the rooms are large and the location is great. So if you decide to stay here, do not expect to be treated as though you are in a 5 star hotel even though I'm sure the manager will be quick to respond that they won the "franchise hotel of the year"...
To start with the positives, the location of the hotel is exceptional with a very nice view of the Golden Horn of Istanbul. The hotel is Luxurious and you sense that in the lobby and floor corridors. I booked the Golden Horn Terrace Suite with Sea View. The suite is very luxurious and it has 2 bathrooms, and living room and a very nice bedroom. The bed is very comfortable. The terrace view is mesmerising and the Jacuzzi is wonderful. on the roof top of the hotel there is the famous Hamdi Restaurant. A very nice and delicious place to eat kebab. To be honest, there are no negatives. There is just one comment which I forwarded to the hotel's manager regarding the Jacuzzi which is to provide sort of shelters or something to cover the view of the jacuzzi from other buildings because some people won't feel comfortable to go into the jacuzzi if they are visible to other people.
Hotel is worn out. Bathrooms are not clean and up to standard. Very slow service. Kitchen staff would not start earlier than 9-9:30 am for made to order breakfast. No variety in breakfast buffet. We will never return again and would not recommend to anyone.
Friendly staff ... hotel is a bit worn out but that should not stop from booking. Great location ..10 minutes walk to Taxim square and 5 minutes to Galata tower. Breakfast is reasonable good choices. Room service is good .. Will recommend purely for location, clean rooms and good breakfast
The location was good the main reason we booked. The interior is very dark and brooding. The view from the bedroom was a sea view but the room itself disappointing. Not the usual Turkish size room.Would only recommend for the location. Not good value for money.
I used this hotel on my last business trip to Istanbul. Comfortable rooms, good food (Turkish and International), and the hotel staff is really amicable. Istanbul is a crowed city during rush hours so this hotel is nearby a main highway so convince to move around fast.
I stay there with my friend. We had great time and very comfortable. Breakfast Buffet is good and recommend to provide more on it. Location near Istikala street. The breakfast restaurant is at the top of floor and the view over Istanbul whilst enjoying breakfast here was amazing. The lobby had a relaxing atmosphere.
We had booked to stay in this hotel for four nights on June '17. We had booked the room with a view already and upon arrival we were told that our room has been upgraded to some business class room on which there is a complimentary hamam for each of us. The next day we double checked with another lady in the reception and she told us that yes we do have the service for free so we booked it for that afternoon and when we reached all the way from other side of Istanbul to be there on time they told us the hammam is out of order and they didnt even bother to call us. So we booked the service for the next day and for the third time triple checked with the lady at the spa and she checked with the concierge and they confirmed it is free if charge. Upon check out we were faced with a 600 Turkish Lira bill for the service and were told that it was not free. They had charged us even for a person that had NOT used the service and very easily forced us to pay for a service they had told us it was free. When I complained I was told neither of the people I had confirmed with are available to approve and I am a liar. Mr Beyhan who was in charge easily raised his voice on us and called us liars and idiots. We ended up paying forcefully for a service we could have got for a quarter price anywhere else and not even one we would have wanted to go for and also insulted and spoken to in a very rude language and that it was all a matter of miscommunication but it is not their business and it is me who has to understand their language in an international hotel and not them to speak proper English. Other than this to judge the hotel the location is good and rooms are good but the breakfast is super repetitive every single day and of really bad quality and leftovers of the previous day were brought again every single day but the view is great. Overall my first and last time here and never ever again and if you stay make sure they dont rip you off and call it a miscommunication and that you dont really bother to pay for the cheap breakfast that doesnt even bother an omelette station. Additionally before arriving to Istanbul I called and asked if they had a free shuttle from the airport and they said yes and nothing was available when I arrived and I went with the taxi myself and when I complained they said it was a misunderstanding for the staff. As per I know and have travelled all around the world I know that its the duty of the hotel to speak proper English and not to say yes to everything and they blame it on miscommunication
I was visiting radisson blu Pera with my wife and daughter for a relaxin holiday for 8 days. When we arrived to the hotel they upgraded our room free of charge to a suite because we wanted a separate bed for our daughter, and the bed would take too much space in a standard room. The suite was so spacious with a beauty full view over lovely Istanbul. We used the spa facility's almost everyday and had a great time here especially our daughter loved it. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of different and fresh made dishes to choose between. The breakfast restaurant is at the top of floor and the view over Istanbul whilst enjoying breakfast here was amazing. The lobby was Cousy and had a relaxing atmosphere. There was business center where you could use computers and print as well. Rooms where clean because they cleaned them everyday. Last but definitely not least the staff at the Radisson blue was like no place I've been to anywhere ever before, they where so nice, friendly, professional, helpful and smilling made u feel like home. Especially the restaurant staff was something else, they always smiling and running to please every need we had as if we where visiting them at there own home. This will definitely not be my last stay at the Radisson. Thank you Radisson staff for your kindness and hospitality.:-).
