This is a MUST for any traveler. It's adjacent to Taksim Square. You can see right down into the Futbol Stadium (Soccer). The nighttime views are fantastic! The colors are amazing, including the red bridge to Asia!
I visited many hotels in Istanbul This hotel is the best one The employees make you feel that THIS IS your second home Also, professional reception in dealing with the guest ms.lala And I would love to thank the front office manager Always he is a welcoming guests and Mrs.Victoria Hotel is worth a visit
A very nice hotel with staff who are good at dealing with the guest I liked the reception very much It took a minute to finish the check in thanks to Ms lala Since I am a loyal member Has been upgraded I am pleased with the good deal Always a good deal from the beginning reflects the good impression Hotel worth visiting
The location is great, it’s near Taksim, but at the same time away from all the activities of the busy square. About five minute walk to the Taksim Metro Station. The room was nice and spacious, nothing luxurious though. The staff was helpful and very efficient. And the breakfast was really good.
The pros: Excellent location Friendly professional staff Excellent breakfast buffet Good design of the bdeakfast display The bar on the upper floor (great design and view) The cons: Rooms need renovation because of outdated floor carpets and tissu upholstery used for couches Lobby can use a some interior architecture touches, especially the ceiling, columns and main stairs balustrade Overall, the stay was good enough
Although the hotel & room decoration is a little bit updated, it sits on the best location in the heart of istanbul, Taksim Square. It meets with all required 5* hotel standarts. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Has a rooftop restaurant bar with a mind blowing panaromic bosphorous view! Definately you must have at least a glass of drink to experience it.
The location is great - 10 minutes walk from taksim and Istiqlal street. Also nearby a good selection of Indian, Arab and Turkish restaurants. The hotel is well maintained and has good security. Rooms have good facilities, although all the pillows seem to be 'soft'. Air conditioning wasnt great as the AC unit did not have any temperature ratings. there were '+' and '-' notches above and below a line on it. As a result it was hard to calibrate the right temperature. Breakfast is excellent and with wonderful and friendly service. The staff were amazing - they remembered my name and greeted me at breakfast. The concierge was helpful in directing me to a good lokum place. The only negative is the poor sound proofing. Sounds from the street are clearly heard so bring ear plugs. There was also a football match in the stadium next door when I stayed. Very loud music and cheering could be heard in the room. There is adequate tea/coffee in the rooms - and all caffeinated. one suggestion is to add some herbal teas like mint, chamomile or lemon to help sleep. Also staff need to be better informed. I called Service to ask about gym hours and was told it opened at 7 am (which was too late for me that day). Later the lobby staff told me it opened at 6.30, and the room guide says 24 hours. Overall a great hotel.
When you book an Intercontinental you make the fair assumption that you will get about the best the hotel industry can do, all the tricks that make guests feel special and valued. Not here. I was surprised that there was no turn down service, and no robes in the room. Only one pair of slippers between us: maybe we could take turns or hop around the room. The bathroom in my room could have done with a refurbishment. Starting to look tired and tatty. Aircon could have been better too. The view from my room over the water was amazing, and the sunrise was spectacular...sadly the inside of the window was dirty with other guest's greasy face marks on it, so my enjoyment was somewhat muted. If you come here on leisure be aware that this hotel is a fair distance in busy Istanbul traffic to the blue mosque, grand bazaar Topkapi etc. Tariff in the bar was eye raising, there are other cheaper options locally...the same applies to the TL125 / person breakfast.
I usually stay at this hotel as I am an RA and do get treated well. but this hotel is a very nice upmarket highhrise. It does have better views than the Hyatt especially if you get a sea side room.I would recommend this hotel to someone staying for more than a few days as it is a 30TL cab ride to old town or a ride down the funicular and then the tram to city(approx 5LR) the staff here are very friendly and the breakfast is vast and very fresh.I cant help myself with the fresh salads and fruit and fresh squeezed juices. I ahve stayed here about 6 times now so its like coming home.
İ have been at this hotel many times. Especially club rooms are very nice and spacious.Hotel loby is very clean and peaceful. All staff are respectful. Congrats hotel management. And after all years i think its time to renovate. Looks a bit tired. Hope they do overall renovation soon.
