This hotel is simply stunning. It’s location to all the main tourist attractions in the old city is it’s added bonus, you can walk everywhere. Our room and bathroom was huge! Beautifully decorated. Although Istanbul was very busy with tourists, we found the hotel very peaceful and tranquil, which was great to escape the crowds after a days touring around. Beautiful roof top bar to sit and admire the views or sunset. Highly recommend!
I spent 5 nights at the Four Seasons Sultanahmet in April, 2018. I was greeted by name upon my arrival. Check in was a breeze. Housekeeping provided anything I needed. The hotel is beautiful and the location is the best -- right near Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Every need was taken care of. I can't recommend the hotel enough.
I feel shy to give any negative comments. Every thing is excellent but the patio in front of the Bosphoru is another story if it happened that you are around don’t miss it. Concierge is at your service and hotel guests always get priority when making reservations at any other outlets.
This review may seem a little different as I did not really stay at the Four Seasons. I simply walked there to get a uber from a known location. When waiting I was most politely greeted by the doorman Mr Murat. Not only did he has a pleasing conversation with me, offered me some water to drink while I waited but told me of the rich history of how the Four Seasons an ancient prison was converted to a luxury hotel where he served with pride for 22 years. It was merely engaging with this pleasant person that made me want to stay at the Four Seasons the next time I visit. Big shout out to Mr Murat...you showcase what true hospitality is.
Loved the stay. The service is just emasculate. We where very well attended. The hous keeping where so graleat, that they will tie my mobile charging cable with hotel emblem tie, and will place a hotel book mark with a Tulip (it was a Tulip Festival period) inside my newly purchased book. At the restaurant all was great, you can order crèp for breakfast or menimen along with other wonderful options. I have to mention here that we had a few glitches though. Our original booking was for a deluxe room. The room we got was not close in size or view to the one pictured at the hotel’s website. It even overlooked a construction site. I was offered an upgrade to a Premier Room for €100 per night. The room was overlooking the court yard which was a much better view, but again much smaller than what is advertised on the website. (The excuse they offered for the inaccurate representation is that it’s an old building and the room character differs accordingly. That is unacceptable excuse. They should show the average Rome at the website. That way the guest will be please tally surprised by the larger room, I’m opposed to feeling deceived. The second glitch is in the high noise caused by an H&M fashion show at the courtyard and the public areas. The music was so loud and not respectful of guests nor for calls for prayer raised form the nearby sultanahmet mosque (they used to stop music during the call for prayers during Gemhoreyt Day which the most important celebration at Turkey at Ortuko Meydalni). The third, is at the restaurant, where I invited some Turkish friends. My grilled sea bass, though tasting great, had a soft skin. When the floor manager asked me if all is ok, I softly complained and accepted the dish as is, though he offered to change it in five min. Lastly, on our was to checkout, we where delayed, because the two elevators through which we can move our bags to the reception area where not working. A lady from the reception managed to fix that after I took the far left and left my wife with our luggage at the throes floor.
The location is near to the attractions, varieties of foods served during breakfast, beautiful hotel garden, spacious and clean room, efficient check in and check out, very helpful and friendly staffs and nice view of Hagia Sophia from the rooftop. The only setback about this hotel is the price of room and breakfast is very expensive.
Everything about this hotel is luxurious . Service was brilliant we could not fault it . Breakfast was such good quality and so much made to order selection that was delicious. Concierge was so well informed and was able to help us with all our requirements including reservations at restaurants which then obliged by giving us the best table in the house . The rooms were full of all the amenities and conveniences needed and more!
What a beautiful hotel. One of my favorite Four Seasons! I would stay here again when in Istanbul. Nothing could've made my stay better. It was perfect. My check out day was raining so they let me check out later which was also very nice. Everyone who works here was so helpful and nice. I wish I could stay longer but I'm going to see other parts of the city now. thank you for the wonderful time.
The Four Seasons Sultanahmet has an extremely central position being just a couple of minutes of walk from the main square, while being outside from the touristy noise. The quality of sleep was excellent: very quiet and dark room (the automatic curtains do a perfect job) and very comcoftable bed as it always happen at FS. The service was impeccable from every point of view. Great food choice and quality of the breakfast, which you can consume in the enclosed courtyard or directly outside in the garden (beautiful and extremely curated). Can't wait to be back!
Amazing location if you want to be nearest to the popular tourist sites of Istanbul, the blue mosque, Aga sophia, Topkapi, basilica cistern, grand bazaar! The hotel is in the old city area, greatest location to be and in the heart of Istanbul. Beautifully restored from a prison - this luxury property is now a far cry from her humble origins. Was given a huge room but at sub basement level - no views, except facing the inner garden walls. Breakfast the courtyard was delightful, a mid sized selection with a good focus on Turkish cuisine, good for visitors to try - they even had a pork bacon and pork sausage ! Their seasonal rooftop venue will be an amazing place to soak in the sights of the old city and the monuments nearby. The location of this beautiful property is definitely well worth the stay if you intend to see Istanbul's historic sites,
