Levni Hotel & Spa

From the moment I walked through the door I felt like the Levni could be a wonderful home away from home. While the atmosphere is "cool" the staff is so warm and welcoming. The spa is gorgeous, you need look no further, and they were very accomodating of my last minute requests! I would highly recommend that you experience a turkish bath. The breakfast buffet is huge and delicious...again the staff are just great. I had a fabulous week in Istanbul and it was largely due to the fact that I slept great, ate well, had personal massage/baths almost daily and was treated as though I was their only guest. Oh, and the location is perfect for the historic tourist sites but also great access to the rest of Istanbul by public transportation.

If you are anticipating arriving at a swanky, upscale 5 star hotel think again. This is a small, nice 4 star hotel at best. The hotel's boutique status helps it skirt past the typical hotel grading process and into the 5 star category where it does not belong. The hotel is split across two buildings. You literally need to walk outside and up a mini ramp to get from the living quarters to the hotel receiption/dining area/spa. The breakfast is good, but again not 5 star. The majority staff (one expection was a lovely girl who was only available on the first day of our trip) is terribly unhelpful in helping plan activities/navigate the city. They were particularly not helpful when it came to planning meals and continued sending us to tourist traps. The room was very small, and again, not five star. Very clean and efficient, just nothing luxurious about it. The bathroom is also very exposed (read: transparent glass walls, no noise barriers) so be sure you are very comfortable with who ever you are rooming with. Overall, I would have been perfectly fine with this hotel if I paid a 4 star price for it. In the end I overpaid and was underwhelmed by what I experienced. Save your money and pick an honest 4 star hotel, or splurge and stay at genuine 5 star accomodations.

The hotel is OK but definitely not 5 star hotel. It is expensive for the service they provide. The best thing is its location.

Wow, great location. Very nice rooms, stay in 1310 if you can - great balcony. The breakfast is impressive. Only complaint is the staff knowledge of the tourist attractions in the area, restaurants opening times, etc., is not the best. But everyone is really friendly and accommodating. One day we came back to rest in he afternoon and they stopped by with water and tea bags. The pool and sauna are really nice too, although be warned you need a swimming cap which they are ready to sell you.

We couldn't have chosen a hotel in a better location for a city break. Many attractions were within very easy walking distance and the metro was a 30 second walk away. The room was spotlessly clean although on the small side and the staff were always helpful. The spa was excellent as we're the staff and the breakfast buffet had a great selection. The only downside was a lack of air conditioning , which depending on who you spoke to was off for maintenance or just because of the season. All in all I would definitely recommend it.

Super friendly hotel staff. The location is right in the middle of the historic district. Marmary station is right outside the door. The room is clean and modern. Staff was wonderful. Our flight out was very early in the AM. We requested a wakeup call only. Not only did they wake us, when we arrived downstairs they already had called a taxi and had a boxed breakfast for us to take. Extremely thoughtful staff - as is typical of the middle east.

nice hotel, free wifi internet, breakfast buffet included. The staff is really helpful and nice, they speak English, Oksana their public relations hostess goes out of her way to help out. The hotel is located close to all the main atractions in Sultanhamed, for other places like Taskim Square you have to take either the tram, the bus or the metro. Entrances fees are cheap except Topkapi palace. Beautiful Country, great experience

not bad in generally, very close to St Sofia Cathedral and Blue Mosque, good location but rooms not spacious enough, also a price is too high for a four star hotel, nice breakfast

We stayed at the Levni from 21-25 October 2012. Front of house staff were welcoming and helpful and our room was clean and stylish if somewhat compact. Although we were only 2 stops from the Waterfront and Spice Market in one direction and Sultanahmet and the Blue Mosque in the other, once inside the hotel it was very calm and the spa and pool were a welcome addition to the usual services. Over and above the usual attractions we were very pleased with our made to measure leather items from Steel Leather (Sultanahamet turn left up the alley at the end of Bodrum Cafe terrace) and much preferred the atmosphere at the Spice Market to the Grand Bazaar. Imbat restaurant on the top floor of the Orient Express Hotel was a great way to round off our short stay as it has a panoramic view of the Bosphorous and the food was attractively presented and flavoursome. There is so much to see and do in Istanbul that I am sure this was merely the first of many visits; I'm already planning to return at tulip time.

Levni Hotel is an excellent place to stay in Istanbul. Everything is within walking distance, something I was concerned about when I read other reviews about the hotel, We walked to the blue mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapı Palace, Grand Bazaar , Spice Bazaar, Galata tower and many other places we loved and enjoyed. When I arrived to the hotel, I needed to upgrade to a family suite, something I wasn't able to do from NY. Levni staff made that possible. The breakfast was amazing and it has many options. We stayed for 8 nights, everyone at the the hotel was very helpful in giving directions. the bottom line Levni hotel was an excellent experience. Thank you

My wife and I were celebrating our 20th anniversary, and I wanted a nice hotel in the Old City. As it turned out, I was pleasantly surprised with my experience at Levni Hotel: -Very clean, and quiet (despite a major construction project in the area) -We were a short walk to almost all the places we wanted to see -Efficient, courteous and responsive staff -Amazing breakfast buffet (got to love Husayn the service manager) -Great guest relation from Esin, and Hasan who helped us daily manage our tour plans -The room is very efficient, despite the size, and better equipped than similar 4 stars hotels in the US (more power plugs, scale, bidet, fast and free WiFi, great insulation, great shower) -We received a welcome fruit basket -What was really a world apart from other hotels was what the management did on our anniversary: I had asked them to make a reservation at a nice fish restaurant, and after the dinner the waiters all came with a beatiful cake to wish us a great anniversary. After we went back to our room, much later, we found another cake, a fruit basket, a bottle of wine, and a note from the Manager with best wishes. Istanbul is a great city, all the people we interacted with were very kind, and cheerful, and our stay at Levni helped complete our great experience.

close to all the sights and a great view of the Bosphorus...about 10 min walk to Aya Sofya. Close to spice bazaar and grand bazaar as well!
