This was our second stay at this property and we were not disappointed. My wife and I stayed in a suite while our two teenaged boys shared their own deluxe room. Service was exemplary and the hotel staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The view from our suite with terrace was jaw-dropping. The bridges, the Bosphorous and the Istanbul sykyline were beautiful. We got a great night's sleep and the location was convenient to fine dining and shopping. The breakfast spread was the best we have experienced in any five star Istanbul property. The dining area was spacious and calm. We had to change hotels to be close to a wedding location and we all missed the tranquility and ambience of Le Meridien. We can't wait to go back. I highly recommend the property.
No negatives to report on my room. My room was very nice, clean, good amenities. The restaurant breakfast buffet was good. The only negative there was trying to get coffee (the staff needs to understand Americans pour down cup after cup ;-) ). A nice view from the bar on the top floor. Everywhere I encountered staff, they were very nice.
Really nice place, excellent modern rooms, breakfast plentiful, friendly staff. The location is perfect if you need to go to the Asian side, close to the bridge. That was our case. We have spent a pretty penny on taxis though. Fortunately, taxis are relatively cheap
Two nights to be memory in this nice hotel. I stayed at 34th floor SPG members wing. A very nice sea & bridge view where you have a betufil scien throuought the day. In the evening you'd enjoy the lights view and the cars pumber to pumber crowd, nice to see and not to be in that traffic jam :) The room and facilities are real executive and enjoyable. And not to forget the very rich breakfast. And if you have an hour to spend after a long day, drop by the sauna/spa.
In spite of being pestered to stay near the Sultanahmet area for its proximity to History and Culture am very glad that my pangs of being a SPG member made me consider this hotel. After an initial negative experience of endlessly trying to get some response from the reception I was personally contacted by Ms. Elif Aydinligil - Director of Rooms and that call just made the whole negative experience vanish. She not only ensured my stay was most comfortable but also kept Le Meridien's high hospitality standards soaring high. The class , ambience , surroundings of the hotel are quite premium and thanks to Ms. Elif i have enjoyed the most beautiful Bosphorus view from my room which i kept gazing and added greatly to a fantastic relaxed feeling of stay. Special mention needs to be done to the Breakfast serving staff especially Catalina Vlas, Bayram Akmese , Melike Olgun who used to take care of the guests like family members as though advising and guiding the right healthy nutritional food for perfect breakfast intake. Upon check in and check out was personally greeted by Ms. Elif who left no stone unturned to ensure my stay was most memorable. I did not get the name of the Front desk Manager upon check in but he was too professional and kind to tour me around and ensuring all staff are at a click away for any of my needs. Only two minor negative issues which were taken on top priority by Ms. Elif is regarding the weak housekeeping and repetitive breakfasts but that would never stop short of giving a 10/10 to Le Meridien Istanbul Etiler. Keep up the great Work - Ms. Elif & Team
Hotel is conveniently located at the first exit if you go from Asian side to European side through 2. bridge (FSM). Staff is very helpful. Breakfast is sufficient and delicious, they make fresh juices. Our room view was 2. bridge with a hint of Bosphorus:) There are outdoor and indoor pools. They gave gifts to kids which made my daughter very happy. But you should take a taxi to go anywhere as there's nothing around.
I am frequent at this hotel. First being a Starwood hotel and an SPG Lifetime Platinum member. Second, its location is perfect for business travelers in terms of accessibility and ease of reach. Moreover, its rooms are amazing with modern design and breathtaking terraces. Price is excellent around a USD100/night for a classic room.
Stayed for one night. Slept till noon. No noise at all. Very beautiful view if you get one of the luxury room. Paid 10$ for vale parking. Missed breakfast. Went to spa and had hamam (turkish bath) for 45 minutes. Spa was great I give 4/5 to the hamam.
I ended up on the 21st, executive floor. The room wasn't too big but enough for two people. The bathroom was very big with a seperate shower and bath tub. Shower pressure was poor, but the amenities were nice: Cinc Mondes
I have been in this hotel many time and still the standard is good and not changing. I like their breakfast variety also. This time I managed to have the time and visit the 34th floor L'Eclipse Bar, it has a nice view over the city.
