Do not ever believe any photos about this hotel, this photographer was professional, this hotel should 2 stars according to Istanbul hotels. I used to travel for the last 40 years. so I know what are the criteria used to rate any hotel.

Excellent value for money. Very short distance to all the main sights, short easy taxi ride to airport for about 53 TL (about £10). surrounded by historical streets with a village type atmosphere, plenty of restaurants nearby. Very clean, good facilities, very helpful friendly staff, lovely Ottoman decor in the rooms. The breakfast buffet is delicious with about 6 different type of cheeses, the local cheese is very good, there is a roof-top terrace where you can sit and have a coffee after breakfast overlooking the Blue Mosque and the Bosphorus, I found it very charming and would definitely stay again should I come to Istanbul and would highly recommend.

We stayed at this hotel for four nights during our recent trip to İstanbul.it is in the famous Sultanahmet area with all main attractions including tram station at few minutes walking distance. The hotel itself is small and lacks ambience but provides reasonable facilities. It only has three storeys with a lovely terrace at roof top providing beautiful views of the Bosphorus and the old city. The breakfast is same everyday and lacks variety but still reasonable. The rooms are of good size and bathroom is clean. The room cleaning service is good as well.

Nice hotel, easy taxi ride to Ataturk Airport. Staff were friendly. The rooftop offered lovely views of the mosque and sea. Room was big, clean and tidy. It's a little walk to get to the main areas, but it's not very far at all.

The Armada Hotel rooms are decorated in the Ottoman style, are not large but have all required amenities and are CLEAN!! Hotel is a short walk from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and so on. Ample restaurants in the area. Breakfast is on the 3rd floor with a nice waterview and the Blue Mosque.

We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights and found the location was great with walkin distance to the main attractions in Istanbul. The hotel was not as good as the photos which show on the website. Just a place to sleep nothing you will impress by the facitlies as well as the service. The staff in the front office are just answer your questions with the shortest possible sentences and the breakfast waiter don't even talk or engaged with the guest just clear tables and replenished the buffet. The breakfast buffet offers the very basic food and it's same everyday. Overall, you pay the room to sleep and that s it. It also quite noisy as the hotel is on the roadside which there are few restaurants play loudly music until 12midnight and you can hear all cars pass by every time in the earliy morning which wakes you up before your alarm everyday. Overall it's a hotel which provides you with your basic needs, shower and sleep. I will said it's 2 or 3 stars and I will try to stay in those private own / family hotel if I come to Istanbul again in the future as I m sure they more willing to help or provide travel advice for the city.

This is a traditional hotel. It has a great restaurant on the roof which has views of the river and of the Blue Mosque. You are walking distance to the old city and are so central. Our room was large and very comfortable. The breakfast was fabulous. This is not a four seasons but if you want a great quality and local feel this is your choice.

For the price you get a clean room, cleaned daily with amazing location. Check in was easy as well as check out. The staff at the front desk could smile more. The breakfast is alright, beautiful views from the terrace, on one side the river, the other Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Just watch out for the overly eager seagulls. The variety at the breakfast was lacking, but considering the price was adequate. 10min walk to the blue mosque.

The hotel is located close to the Sultanahmet area. The main attractions of the city are within walking distance or a short taxi ride away. They have a great spread for breakfast with local cuisine. The terrace is great for the views of the sea and the mosques. The wi-fi in the room wasn't working too well. Not sure if this was just our room. We had to come down to the lobby area each time for good net connectivity. Our check-in was messed up which seemed to be the case with other guests too on that day.

I have stayed for 3 nights ,, hotel was good however the picture not like the real ... the rooms much smaller than the pictures.. I didn't experience every thing as were spending the hole day out the hotel Terrace is amazing the view is awesome side looking on sultanahmet and the other side looking on the sea Breakfast is good not big variety but overall was good .
