Very enjoyable place to stop after a road trip around lots of rough hikes, shoreline walks and driving through unpopulated forests. After all day, we were ready to walk on clean carpet, stretch out on comfy beds and watch a little football. Adequate restaurants close by and nice workout equipment. Very quiet inside the room, no road noise or noise from neighboring rooms. The breakfast was complete and varied in menu and the attendant was super friendly and offered to help those who needed extra assistance.
Totally remodeled and a nice job was done. Rooms are contemporary. Baths have the old fixtures but they look fine. Pet room was nice and no odors. Got some weird pet rules about which (single) entrance through which you may take your pet in and out. Overall, an enjoyable stay. Iron Mountain has seen better days and restaurant options on a Sunday night were very limited. The hotel had a very nice breakfast in a spotless dining room tended to by a delightful woman who made sure our every need was satisfied. Shockingly, this hotel is built right in front of a historical monument related to the beginnings of the iron business that you would never know is there because of the hotel.
Traveling through the area, we used one of the phone apps to land a deal at this hotel. Really a nice place to stay. Staff was great and the room was exceptionally clean and neat. Free breakfast was plentiful and varied. They even offered a selection of premium yogurts for breakfast along with fresh scrambled eggs and bacon. Definitely a nice place to stay.
Our positive experience began when we walked in the door and were greeted by very friendly staff who were also efficient and informative. Our room was very clean and so were the halls, dining area and the elevator. The breakfast was good with a variety of choices. Also, the lady in charge was helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our two day visit to Iron Mountain and hope to return.
The staff was the best! We stayed one night, the room was clean and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was close and breakfast was fine. There are cool ruins just out behind the hotel. I had a problem with my phone and the staff tried to find me help.
We stayed for one night after visiting the porcupine mountains. The room was very clean and had all the amenities that we needed. It also had a fair selection of items included in the free breakfast. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a clean & modern room at a great price.
I always stay at this hotel when in town and it's very nice very clean good breakfast but the reason why I am writing and hopefully management looks at these but make sure when it's 65 degrees outside that housekeeping does not crank the air down to 62 degrees on the ac. I realize it probably gets warm working but when you show up and it's freezing in the room not fun. We actually had to turn the heat back on.
Check in and check out was excellent. The lady who worked the free breakfast was so nice. She checked with us multiple times and said good bye when we left. Training to meet expectations was the best we have seen on our 12 day vacation. Room size was very good, bathroom was good, the counter top needs to be bigger. Hard for two people to put their stuff. Shower was excellent. Bed was comfortable. The only complaint was the overly soft pillows. Highly recommended.
Stayed here on a family trip through the UP. Cookies at checkin and rooms available on the first floor. Standard amenities for a Comfort Inn and helpful staff. Not sure if all points applied because did not get an email which I usually do but can check online if needed.
Room was okay, A/C unit was a little bit noisy and the room was fairly clean. Overall it was an okay stay. The room didn't have great insulation so you could hear the traffic outside and you can hear the people above you walking. But for the price, it's a decent value.
