This is a great facility, albeit a bit off the beaten path; it's about a $100HK taxi ride from the Central. Our room was large and comfortable with a great view off the west coast of Hong Kong Island. We never did quite get a handle on the room lighting or t.v. controls but were very pleased with the comfort and facilities offered. What we got for what we paid was exceptional. What makes the T Hotel unique and interesting is that it's a training facility. The students are very attentive and try hard but their language skills and confidence in what they're doing are sometimes limited. Fairly often, they are visibly nervous about trying to be sure they're doing the right thing. So long as you understand this and have a sense of humor, things go well. We had only one complaint: when we went in to the Lounge at 6:30 and had a continental breakfast, we were charged $240HK for a full breakfast despite the fact that the full buffet was not available for another hour. It was explained later that the continental breakfast was only a room service option. This seemed a little bizarre and was not clear from the literature in the room. That was really pretty minor, though; overall, we were extremely pleased with our stay.

The view of the room is really good. The room is bigger than the other hong kong hotel. The staff is friendly, however they may not provide excellent service as most of them are student of hotel management and still in learning, but they are all willing to provide assistance. I definitely will visit again.

This is a great hotel if you love a gorgeous view and simple, polite service. If you need to step out your door and have things around this isn't it. Everyone was very friendly and the restaurant was fairly priced. The breakfast buffet was definitely worth it too!

Great Hotel. Quiet location. A little away from the center and may be difficult to find at first. Staff and students are very helpful. Awesome experience overall.

Great experience. A bit out of the way, but worth every slight inconvenience. Highly attentive staff is a HUGE understatement. The staff, including the cooking staff, are all students in a program run by the Vocational Training Committee (VTC). The food is superb - a wide variety of the highest quality, properly prepared and very well presented. Under close supervision, these young folks work hands-on to learn the hospitality industry and prepare themselves for a career. The students pay to attend. They are incredibly attentive and, although most speak little English, they work hard to overcome communications difficulties. The managers, who do speak English, are always available to help. The hotel itself is top-notch and compares favorably with 1st class and deluxe hotels everywhere. If you're looking for something a bit different and a delightful experience to boot, treat yourself to a stay at the T Hotel. You will not be disappointed.

My only other hotel experience was staying at the Pennisula Hotel, a famous establishment that is reknown for service. This teaching hotel was the standard of the Pennisula with young students learning how to perform services (their best) for guest of the hotel. It is in a very quite area so a taxi or bus is needed for getting to shopping or dinning. I had a buffet breakfast that was five star, and one afternoon I enjoyed the prix fix gourmet lunch menu. Also due to limited walking ability I had three evening meals with room service. Every food item whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner was excellent. The room itself is extremely large for a large city like Hong Kong, with a lovely China Sea view. The desk area was excellent with the many plug ins and a Handy Phone is part of the package. I have never experienced a Handy Phone, but due to a family emergency I could call home to talk to Doctor. I cannot praise this hotel enough for all they offer, book early so you too can enjoy this amazing retreat.

The hotel does not appealing from the street entrance. However it has very large, clean and comfortable room with water view. Only stayed for one night and did not have a chance to try other facilities. Will definitely try their restaurants next time.
