This hotel discriminates against guest who are here for a short stay aka hotel guest. First off, the deposit required is ridiculous @ 500HKD per night per room. I find this unacceptable as the room was not lavishly furnished. TV is small, bed was very firm, toilet plumbing was bad and service could be better. Almost got trapped in the lift on my second day where the lift doors would not open. Secondly, there's the discrimination against hotel guest. The lobby had a collection of DVD's but there was no dvd player in the room. When asked if we could loan a DVD player, the reply was that is was not applicable for hotel guest. We were free to take the disc and play it on a laptop. Then, when we requested for extra pillows, the front desk answered no extra pillows provided for hotel guests. When we questioned further, they just repeated the answer but finally relented when we asked a third time. My last straw was when the staff sending the pillow to my room had a black face and gave me a dissatisfied look even walking away even though I greeted him with a smile. I expected better from a service staff in the tourism sector. Lastly, the hotel was really inaccessible. To locate the hotel, you had to look for a small signboard with the hotel name on it and the entrance was very obscure. You need very trained eyes to locate it and is on a slope. This is further aggravated by the set of steps you need to climb to watch the lobby and another set of steps to reach the lift landing. I would say if possible don't stay in this hotel. We were conned by the pictures that looked so good but were utterly disappointed.

Amazing! I love this room, feeling like a sweet home. My family stayed here during our vacations in HK. The staff are very thoughtful and provide excellence services. I certainly will book this room again in my future trip.

I stayed in the Shama Island North Hotel with my family for 8 nights due to a small renovation work at home. The hotel is small in size but I like its modern theme, cozy atmosphere and comfortable beds (nice mattress!!!). Staff are very nice & helpful. The location is only 5 mins walk from both MTR station and many nice restaurants of the vicinity. I highly recommend it for those who look for great location and comfy stay on Hong Kong Island at a reasonable rate.

This hotel is great but could do better. Most of the staff were friendly but the woman who check us in was pretty annoying and a liar. We had to place deposit for our stay but we didn't had enough hong kong dollars so we told them we can give singapore dollars but she declined and said only us dollars or hk dollars, come on I'm also from the front desk and i know that she could have been flexible but she choose to not give us our room keys. After we gave her deposit for 2 nights she allowed us to check in but she insist that we had to give her deposit for 1 more night, what she didn't tell us is that she only programme the key for 1 night and my card got deactivated. So rude could she be? I have never done that to my guest, if my guest had no deposit i would have ask them to pay any incidental directly and allow them to check in. But we respect the hotel and their policy but do not treat us like crap! In the service line you should learn how to be flexible and not treat your guest like some criminal who is going to destroy the rooms. If you ever stay here please check on your pillows im not sure the lady who cleans the room changes the pillow case, there was such an awful smell and we couldn't sleep at all. The only reason i gave a 3 star was for the location and nothing else. Maybe you could train your staff to be more flexible. If not there's no point being in the service line. Thank you

Smooth check in with professional and efficient service. The space is classy modern and delivers on details a traveler could need. Everything was perfect and would definitely stay here again. 入住登記的流程快速,並提供專業的說明與服務。 空間明亮、溫馨典雅,動線流暢。 非常舒適的經驗,值得期待下一次的再訪。

The apartment is new and very clean, perfect location close to MTR & local restaurants, although no restaurant in house, but not an issue at all. Staff are helpful, this property is great value of money, highly recommended.

The location is good and staff is very helpful. However the sound proofing is extremely poor, I can hear through the thin walls all the banging from next door. I am sitting in my apartment right now at 1:30am waiting for my neighbor to fall asleep so the banging against my bedroom wall can come to a stop. Otherwise I get awaken multiple times during the night from all the banging and it is extremely stressful. Spoke to front desk today but not sure what more to do to handle this type of disturbance, I tried sleeping with earplugs but the hollow walls does seem to carry the sound very well so I can still hear all of the neighbor’s noise. I have quite a number of days left and all I want is normal sleep, I really don’t mind the sound if it is not happening daily up to 2 or 3am, I understand people have different daily routines but the fact that I cannot have a single night of good sleep is becoming very frustrating. PS: the price tag is 36K HKD for a month’s stay which is not a small amount, but it would be worth it if at the minimum I can have normal sleep and not afraid of going to bed at night and get awaken multiple times by sudden bangs and something hitting against the wall adjacent to by bed/ room.

Booked this hotel for my elderly father who was travelling solo in HK due to it's convenient location on HK Island. However, that's the only positive about this hotel. He arrived for the 2PM check-in after a long flight only to be told he couldn't check in until 3PM. When inquiring about the reason, the staff was dismissive to him with no real explanation given other than "the room isn't ready yet". Being a new hotel, the rooms were not that modern nor spacious (I guess the limited space may be a commonality amongst HK hotels). Coupled with the poor customer service there are better choices in the Fortress Hill/North Point area. Sorry Shama, I've had good experiences at other locations before but it seems this new location's dropped the ball this time.
