I booked directly with the hotel and was offered a deluxe room which was nice, clean but quite small. The location is perfect with the MTR exit C at its doorstep. In-room wifi was good. There are many restaurants and bars nearby. The staff were very helpful and they even kept my suitcase for a few days during my trip to Guangzhou.
The Hotel is placed conveniently next to Wan Chai station but it is also at the start of the Red Light district with loads of British type bars, strip clubs etc. My room was extremely small. Only a very small wardrobe which I had to put my case in, otherwise I couldn't get around the bed. No cupboards or drawers to unpack into . The bathroom and shower were good and plenty of hot water. Also the aircon worked very well. Easy walk 20 mins to the Star ferry and trip to Kowloon. There are better hotels on HK island
OK, we decided to spend Sunday night in a new hotel. We tried the Brighton, and, I must say, my wife and I are both happy we stayed. The check in was good, the room was "cute" (according to my wife), and the check out was quick. We always like to enjoy our Wan Chai Sundays, so the location is perfect. So, all in all, it was great. On the side note: we noticed that they charged our Credit Card 50 HKD a few days later. The only thing it could be is the 2 bottles of water we drank on Sunday night and/or Monday morning. I guess I should read the fine print better. I must admit....damn fine water.
Just need one minute walk to Wan Chai MTR and 5 minute walk to Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Lockhard Road is very famous for bar. But so quite in room. It need the room key for using lift. Is safe. 24 Hours front desk with friendly and helpful staff so i can checked out on 5AM to go airport. Many choice to have late night dinner. will come back next time.
Very convenient location very close to MRT, restaurants and shopping. Check in simple and efficient. Room extremely small, barely enough room to walk around the bed. Excellent bathroom with large walking shower, makes you question why so much space was taken up from the living space. Limited closet space.
A friend recently recommended The Brighton in Hong Kong. The hotel has a good location, with clean, reasonably priced rooms. Sadly, this hotel is let down by its staff, ranging from reception through to the cleaning staff. I was particularly frustrated to learn that an expensive bottle of aftershave had been stolen by one of the cleaners, shortly after they had been in to clean the room. A real let down!!
I chose this hotel because of the location. It was my first time in HK so wanted to experience the night life. The hotel is literally a few steps from the MTR. Around the corner is a 711 and other similar stores. Lots of money exchange around. Lots of British pubs with guys from as early as 11am (do they work?) Rooms are small but I hear that's the norm in HK. My double room barely fit me and I'm tiny, can't imagine 2 people there. Lifts are slow, front desk cold, they barely look at you whether you are checking in or out, it's almost like they are doing you a favour. I saw a list of how much it would cost if I broke or lost anything and I was even afraid to sleep on the bed incase I'm charged for making it messy lol! Other than that it was a good stay.
The location is very close to the MTR. The rooms were clean. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Very close to Good Local Eateries too. Perfect for business travels. Bathrooms were very clean and functional.
This hotel is very close to Wan Chai train station. There are quite a few pubs nearby and it appears they are popular. The hotel room is very small but it is in Hong Kong. Front desk staff are friendly. I stayed here for only one night and there was nothing wrong with my stay.I booked a queen bed room but the front desk apologized that they had only double room, which was okay for me. Next morning I checked out and took the train to the airport.
Booked a Junior Suite for a two night stay -- great move ! This was a pretty spacious room, modern interior, and kept spotlessly clean. Checkin / checkout was very efficiently handled by the courteous and friendly staff. Central Wan Chai location was great, with an abundance of bars and restaurants available within a short walking distance. The hotel is also about 30 meters walk from the Wan Chai MRT station - very handy. The only thing I could fault about the hotel is that there is no restaurant within, hence no breakfast available.
