The Harbourview

I booked an upgraded room and hoping for a view of the harbor. However, the room I was given was tiny and had a view of a wall, a solid wall. And I noticed that most rooms were. I felt like I was being reprimanded the whole time I stayed in the room.

The facilities are average. And is no more view of the harbour from the hotel.

Staff were cordial but mechanical. Food in hotel cafe was poor (microwaved) and no service at all on both occasions I ate there.

When I booked several MONTHS in advance, I asked for a room on uppermost possible floor and at eastern most end of building, plenty of notice. Upon arrival, I was given a room on the bottom fourth of height and in the middle. I asked the clerk if she read my request, to which she replied curtly, yes while smirking. After a 16 hour flight and several hours of waiting in brutally hot weather, I just wanted a room. Mind you, I have been to this hotel on my last 3 prior trips to HK, reserving anywhere from 2-4 rooms for average 14 days each, so I have loyalty to this site. IF I REQUEST SOMETHING MONTHS IN ADVANCE, HONOR IT OR NOTIFY ME IT WONT BE AVAILABLE (which really isn't possible given the notice).

Reasonable hotel, very friendly staff and clean rooms. Amenities very basic.

Room is ok. Facility is ok but staff really not friendly maybe it's the culture.

Cheap and adequate, will assist in finding taxi to Central

Me and my wife and my two Children (11 and 9 y/o) were visiting Hong Kong (and Kowloon, we also did a one day trip to Macau and Taipa). For that we stayed 3 nights in the Harbourview Hotel. It is in a great location, next to the convention Center and walking distance 5 minutes from Wan Chai Subway Station. The Star ferry that goes to Kowloon is also walking distance, 10 minutes. The hotel was clean and nice, not old and not rusty. Bathroom and bed clean. The little fridge helped us a lot too. Bathroom was a little small but noting bad. In general very happy we stayed there and I would recommend.

Booked at short notice with fair price. Large harbour view room.

I enjoyed staying in the hotel for my business trip in HK.

Good location the rooms has nice view and the hotel internet is good .

The air condition was too cold and had to wake up several times at night should be ore easy for temperature handling

Highly recommend to all family travel in the close neighborhood to central business district and entertainment area

View of harbour was angled but right near water. However, the govt is reclaiming and filling in the section in front of hotel. In a generation, it will be called Victoria river rather than harbour. The convention center blocks a majority of view, but the hotel room windows are 45° just outs to squeeze in more "view" rooms, resulting in angled views of far west Kowloon.

One of the primary benefits of the hotel is the location. Depending on which footbridge you choose, it could be to bars, restaurants, the Wan Chai train station. A good hotel that offers access to so much.

We were pleased with the value offered at the Harborview. We were there one night, The staff was terrific and the hotel very clean, but the mattress was one of the hardesy I have ever slept on.

There is an active construction site across the street, but the location is exactly as I was looking for.

Had a conference across the street. Great value for the money in Hong Kong,

This is a wonderful hotel, located a short walk from the Star Ferry pier (to Kowloon) and Wanchai subway station. The hotel offers spectacular views of the harbour, clean rooms that are not too small, a nice little restaurant, and even a fitness room (good when it is too hot to jog about the waterfront). I found the staff to be very, very helpful, whether I was asking for assistance in scanning and emailing documents, translating a request to a taxi driver, or arranging reservations. The convenient and economical airport shuttle drops you right at the door. What more could you ask for?

They had a two double bed room, but I wanted a king bed. After one night when I came back to my room, I found the two beds replaced with a king bed! Very considerate. They also provide a big bottle of water for free, and when they realized that my girlfriend came over, they prepared 2 bottles the next day. Staffs are so caring.
