The last time I stayed in this hotel was 2018 before the riot and Covid hits Hong Kong. After four years it's still the same. Location is perfect while all the staffs are very friendly and helpful. The room is always quiet and super clean. You won't regret it.
Excellent service, comfy and large bed. It is a excellent place to stay your night.
Nice room , close to everything, quiet area near subway , hotel staffs very helpful , I was up grade to harbor view room , will consider staying the same place next time
We stayed at this hotel. Great view, great resto and great room.
The Hotel met my expectations. It is located a little far away from central, but its Ok forthe price. all the staff was very nice.
super good hotel , clean , ecxelent service. good breakfas
Staff are friendly and accommodating. Room is just fine for a short trip. No bath tub was a minus for me, though. However, for the reasonable room rate, you have to appreciate the fact that the room and bathroom do not spell like fungus - that is a big plus point in HK.
Extremely attentive staff. Exceptional hotel for the price. Location so-so. Onsite restaurant was good. Overall a very pleasant stay.
Most of the year Hong Kong Hotels are full, specially if they have harbour view, or are very very expensive. The courtyard is a niece option to stay with a harbour view and reasonable proces for Hong Kong, Is an average hotel, no options for food and a little far away from Central, But is a hotel to keep in mind.
I have stayed here several times before. The location on the hotel waterfront is superb for views, although it requires a short, but cheap, taxi ride to get anywhere. However, taxis are always quickly available. The rooms are very well appointed, the restaurant prices reasonable and the food is fine. I found the staff uniformly excellent in their helpfulness. The cost of the rooms is very competitive.
One of the nicer hotels I have stayed in HK.
Excellent service, good location, and moderately sized room in a new hotel in the west part of HK. Overall an excellent value in the city.
[...] I reserved two rooms for four adults for six nights. The free breakfast was not honored [...]. As in all of China, if the headman says no, then it is no! We stayed there because my son is attending the University of Hong Kong as an exchange student. If I ever go again, I will not stay there even though the working staff and room care were excellent.
Good value when you consider the cost of room and taxis together. The hotel is located in the Western section and we repeated walking over to catch the subway. Central would have been more convenient but of course more expensive. Taxis were always available and inexpensive. The room was clean and well appointed but small. The concierge was very helpful and made reservations for diner and transport. Our package included breakfast at the business center on floor 6 but not at the restaurant on floor 2. Confusing. We didn't understand and ate in the wrong restaurant. We had to argue with reservation desk to remove double fee which they finally agreed to.
The hotel itself is really good .The staff very friendly and very professional .The only thing we were disappointed with was the breakfast .We do not know why ,we were appointed to the Business Center where a small group of guests were offered a very modest and poor quality variety of food .It was not like the normal Mariott Standard used to be.Also once we got to the breakfast 10 minutes before the end of the meal time and there was nothing left and nobody bothered to bring some more or add anything else .We were lef with nothing .That was the only thing that disappoint us .The rest was perfectly fine and we definitely would like to go back there especially for the location which is superb.
The Marriott Courtyard is a wonderful place to stay while in Hong Kong. Although geared toward the business traveler, it had all of the amenities I wanted for my brief vacation (clean pleasant environment, gym, free breakfast, happy hour with heavy hors d'oeuvres, great staff, extremely knowledgeable and helpful concierge, etc). While it is not as close to the stores, tourist attractions and the hustle and bustle of the hotels on Kowloon, this for me was actually a plus. I don't like all the crowds. As for transportation, the MTR Central Station and the ferry piers are about a $25 - $30 HKD (about $3.25 to $3.85 USD) taxi ride away. This takes about 5 to 10 minutes depending on traffic. All locations in Hong Kong can be reached from these points. I had a great time there and would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone else. My only complaint is very minor. Although the bathroom was spacious and quite lovely, I could not find an electrical outlet in it. There was a hairdryer hard-wired into the wall, but no outlet to use a plug-in electric razor. I had to use the mirror and outlet next to the bed.
I read most of the reviews on the Courtyard Hong Kong before booking and had no regrets once we had arrived. The staff was very professional and helpful from the moment we arrived. Check in was fast and easy. We paid in advance for a city view room and were not offered a free upgrade. We were offered the daily breakfast and declined. The room was beautiful and still looks new. The decor is ultra modern, which we both liked very much. The floor to ceiling window wall was equipped with two mechanical shades, one to give some privacy and one which completely blacks out the room. We ate at MoMo twice and were very pleased both times. The restaurant is above average in decor for a hotel and the service was excellent. Try the 1/3 lb. MoMo burger for one of the best burgers in Hong Kong! For airport transportation, we took the advice of another reviewer and took the A12 bus to and from the hotel, which could not be more convenient. For HK $45 pp, the bus drops you off and picks you up directly across the street from the entrance to the hotel on Water St. Much cheaper than a taxi and more convenient than the Airport Express train, which you'd need to connect to the hotel with a taxi, anyway. As all the other reviews have touched on, the location is on the far west end of town. We alternated between the trolley and the bus (5X, directly across the hotel) to get into Central or the MTR. (To get home, use the 1, 113 or 5B buses heading west on Des Voeux Rd.). Hong Kong is impossibly easy to get around in and we never waited more than a few minutes for a bus. The neighborhood is not bad and there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. There is an ATM, laundry, 7-11, trolley and bus stop all within a block. The staff was very courteous and overly helpful. I don't think we ever left the hotel without one of the concierges asking us how we were enjoying our stay or if we needed anything. When we left, they allowed us to stay in our room until 8 PM for 1/2 the full day rate as our flight did not leave until midnight. I would say do not let the location scare you away from this hotel. The few extra minutes it takes in the morning and evening are easily offset by the beautiful rooms and excellent staff.
Very clean; solid restaurant; friendly, helpful staff
Great hotel rooms, kind of far from trains.
