The main corridor of the floor is smelly due to poor ventilation. The carpet is worn. The room furniture is very basic. Every time when other guest close their door, my door will make knocking noise due to air pressure, but for the first day I thought someone is knocking at my door. I would expect more from this rate.

We stayed at Novotel from Nov 15 to Dec 4. The location was close to various means of transportation and restaurants, some with Michelin status. We have a good size room but was too close to other buildings with very limited view so we closed our curtains most of the time during our almost three week stay. Air conditioning inside the room was good but the corridor was very stuffy especially when it was hot outside. Sony at the reception was very helpful in ensuring that our son’s family, who arrived a few days later, would stay at the suite on the same floor as us. Paul from the concierge was also very helpful as well. We are happy with the service of all the housekeeping staff during our stay. We did advise the reception about a likely clog with the sink in the bathroom but not sure if anything was done to fix the problem as the issue persisted all through our stay.

The hotel is beautiful, in a nice area where you can walk to a lot of places & the hotel staff was great. The A/C worked great which is a big deal & the shower and water pressure was great especially since I was on the 22nd floor. The King bed was great especially after being in Japan for a week. The pillows were great and everything was clean. The room is a little worn BUT the view was amazing and I slept well. However there was a musty & damp smell on the entire floor & especially in the room. There were dehumidifiers in the hallway & in the room so there was some issue they were working on but I would've preferred them not putting people in those rooms. Running the dehumidifier for a bit helped in the room but I hope they get that dealt with because everything else was good.

The stay was nice. Great location near tue harbour. Lobby was really nice, staff were friendly and very helpful. Buffet breakfast was great. Room was smaller than expected. What I would like to point out was the corridor of hotel was dated and the old odour of years of smoking still trapped in carpet. The room itself was fine and no issue inside the room. Other than that it was a pleasant stay. Thankyou

The rooms look much nicer in the picture than in reality. A strong musty odour and they are quite small. Not a room I could spend a lot of time in working - which is what I was seeking. The lobby is as pictured, quite spacious and lovely. The bar is smaller than pictured,or at least, felt smaller upon entry. Breakfast was good - not as much variety as other hotels I've stayed at but has your basics.
