Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Causeway Bay4.5 out of 5.0

My partner and I have been using this property for our annual trips to Hong Kong for about five years, and it has maintained its standards brilliantly. The rooms are exceptionally well laid out (terrific bathroom with a great shower, fabulous water pressure), and always look brand new. I should particularly commend the staff. At all levels they are superbly trained, fast, efficient and helpful. The rooftop, poolside bar (Club@28) is enjoyable, but I have never used the other F&B outlets, so cannot comment on them. One of the things that keeps bringing us back is the hotel's location on the edge of Causeway Bay. Just a few minutes stroll to Times Square, the MTR, and the myriad of small shops and large malls that make this area one of the best parts of HK Island. Hard to beat, frankly. We will definitely be back again next year!
Helpful staff, good buffet restaurant, good connectivity to other parts of the city by subway (Times square tower, the causeway bay station), or to the airport ( the central station is approximately 15-20 minutes by taxi (weekend data, maybe more). I have spent only one night, but experienced no negatives.
I stayed in this hotel back in September and it was a fantastic stay with a suite Pros: -spacious room with living and bedroom separated -superb racecourse view which is speechless -very quiet room -sincere service -convenient location Cons: -rather small lobby -parking at hotel is quite expensive Will definitely consider to come back to this hotel!
Of all the places, we chose to stay around Causeway Bay. We loved our stay here as it was easy to get around, there were plenty of places to eat and shop and somehow a more laid back atmosphere from the main tourist attractions of Hong Kong. We usually start the day by checking out the area near our hotel and just enjoying the feel of Hong Kong street life. When in Causeway Bay, if you’re in the mood to splurge and pamper yourself once in a while, you’ll surely enjoy shopping and hunting some fabulous finds as the area is one of major shopping district with local boutiques and popular International branded stores. Our luxurious stay in Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Causeway Bay for 3 days and 2 nights has been really a great choice. Highly recommended for its convenient proximity to public transport, and less than 10 minute walk away to the nearest MTR and Times Square Shopping Mall. Upon arrival, we were overwhelmed by the warm welcome and helpfulness of the front office staff. Also, we were offered with welcome drinks of your choice – house wine, fresh juice, hot or cold drinks. Luckily as an IHG member, our request for room preference was arranged accordingly and we have been upgraded to a Racecourse View Room with a spectacular Happy Valley Racecourse views. On our last day in Hong Kong, it was very unfortunate that my nephew was not feeling well as he was down with fever. So, my sister and her son had to stay back in the hotel. If you noticed the photos I posted in my previous blog, we missed them in our Disneyland adventures though, sigh! Although, our original plan was to check out in the morning before heading out and leave our luggage at the hotel, then pick it up in the evening and take off to our flight departure. Unexpected things happened, yet blessings still come our way and we greately appreciate the hospitality and thoughtful touches of the hotel staff who looked after them, and was kind enough to extend our stay for a late checkout up to 7:00 PM without extra cost. This is what makes an exceptional customer service! Once again, THANK YOU Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Causeway Bay !
The hotel is located in Causeway bay, the rooms are fairly spacious by HK standards and the customer service is good. Public transport is easily accessible and the nearest MTR is less than 10 minute walk away.
During my 3 day stay here I was appalled by the obvious and blatant preferential treatment given to westerners by staff. It was embarrassing and shameful. Do not come here if you are Chinese, it seems you will be treated 2nd class. What a joke, especially all of the waiting staff being Chinese themselves. Much better hotels with better treatment for Chinese customers
My company recently started staying here, and I'm so glad we switched. What a wonderful place to stay. Rooms are extremely quiet (slept without earplugs, which I rarely do in HK), enjoyed my free drink (IHG member) in the rooftop bar, had a delicious burger (also hard to find in HK), staff is very friendly and nice, rooms are good size, beds and pillows super comfortable and large, great black out curtains for day sleeping, and something the women will appreciate, a good hair dryer. There's also a laundry (Sunshine cleaners, 3 block walk) and Starbucks near by.
Warm welcome upon arrival and room preference requested was arranged accordingly. Good location as well as the room was very clean and well maintained. Excellent pool location as well. Good breakfast buffet as well as the service. Overall perfect stay, hotel highly recommended.
Rooms are reasonable but views ordinary. Breakfasts have great variety. It's very hard to decide what to have but not of the standard of so many hotels in Asia now. Staff are friendly but a bit plastic.
Stayed here for five nights and loved everything about the hotel... location, amenities and the exceptionally friendly staff. Go up to the 28th floor for spectacular views - happy hour from 5-8pm bogo. No special dress code just chilled with professionals service. A quick walk from Times square where you can access the MTR
