We have used many small Asian hostels we liked. This one is not good: Bad mold and mildew present. Walls are dirty and defaced. Laundry/panties hanging in stairs (gross and safety issue in an emergency). Too few amenities in the common area (a few drinks for sale and a kettle with hot water. That’s it). dirty common areas. Very little space, even for an Asian hostel. Unsuitable for two people. Only one outlet in the entire room. You have to cling over each other to get out of bed or even to get around the room. Room was not just moldy but dirty. Close to the MTR (location was good) but will NOT stay here again due to the poor quality of the room. Hong Kong is an amazing city. There are definitely better places to stay.

A friend of mine and I have been travelling for two months now, staying in hotels and hostels and this is the first time we’ve run into a nightmare like this. First we booked a room at another Homy Inn in Hong Kong and once we arrived there after a long day of travel they told us all their rooms were full despite a successful booking (It’s three days later and they still have our money held). We decided to go to Homy Inn North Point instead so we booked online and then went there. Upon getting there they had us booked for two double rooms when there was only two of us and we just needed one room. We explained there must have been a mistake through the booking and that we only needed one room but they told us we’d have to pay the cancellation fee which is the price of the room anyway. While we asked further questions and asked for some understanding the young guy speaking with us became VERY rude to us, treating us like trash and back talking everything we said! He also would not contact to figure anything out. We called to get some help and they gave us NO help at all. When we went back to the front desk to try and figure things out we ended up dealing with the same guy again and his English wasn’t all that good so we asked to speak to someone else but he refused to redirect us being even more rude than the last time we interracted. Some cherries on top of the cake are mould in the bathroom! Very dirty walls! And stinky hallways! Don’t waste your time or money with or Homy Inn!!!!!

It was so mouldy/moist in the room, we both left sick. No hot water during our 3-days-stay, shower super low, only possible to kneel under. Toiletseat was broken and the room was very dirty. The beds were extremely hard. Very unpleasant experience, despite being rather pricy compared to other hostels in HK.

The Homy Inn operates as a hostel so if you are trying to find an affordable spot in Hong Kong, and are willing to make some sacrifices, it might work for you. Our room was clean and tidy, the beds were good and the linens nice but be warned, the room was very small, really small; just six feet wide by twelve feet long. barely enough room between the two beds to walk with a bit extra at the end for luggage. The attached bathroom was also efficiency- minded allowing only a knee-knocking nine inches between the front of the toilet and the wall. The shower, draining to the floor, offered the unexpected wet foot with a midnight visit. The room included a small screen television and AC that worked. The floor had three different levels to it; difficult navigate in the night. The Homy Inn is nicely located a couple of blocks from a MTR (subway) stop and on a major street with tons of buses including a direct bus to the airport. Our room was on the twelfth floor; the elevator is an uncomfortable fit for five and the halls a narrow four feet or so wide. However, if you tend toward claustrophobia, or are inclined to nighttime musings about the exit plan in the event of a fire, this may not be the place for you. It’s certainly OK in a pinch but honestly, it wouldn't be our choice for a return visit.

Good location. Very basic style accommodation, but clean and staff friendly and helpful. Venue offers a communal room for coffee, tea, water refreshments. Wifi is ok. Towels are tiny and worn out. Bedding is very comfortable.

Stayed here in mid May... Simple accommodation for travellers who just need a place to sleep. Don't expect much space, had just enough to open a medium sized luggage (not flat out). Cannot deny the fact that the room is very clean!

The location is the best thing about this inn since it's a 5 minute walk from the nearest MTR station, has a bus stop just outside the door, has a nearby tramway stop, with restaurants and a public market nearby. The rooms are small but good enough. We booked a twin room and it has a TV, towels, slippers, body/hair wash. No cabinets but there is a space below the bed that you can use to stash your things. No bidet & trash can in the bathroom and the shower is right beside the toilet bowl. The light in our bathroom would not turn on on our 2nd night and we called for assistance but it never came :( The elevator in the building is kinda weird. You can only climb up if you're from the ground floor. So if you went to the 2nd floor (reception) to get water for example, you need to go back to the ground floor to climb up to your room in the other higher floor. Younger staff are friendly but the older one was kinda grumpy.

I booked a double room (although I was solo traveler), and stayed there for one week. Hotel is in a tall building, and their reception is on 2nd floor. Staff was very courteous and helpful. There is a dining room near reception where tea / coffee is complimentary 24/7. Also you can use microwave to warm your meals there. They were very helpful to guide me regarding shopping areas, tours and other places to go in the evening. North Point MTR Station is just 5 mins walk, there is a chinese restaurant at the entrance and McDonalds, 7 Eleven are just 2 mins walk. They're strictly no smoking rooms with 2 detectors in each room. My room was on 9th floor.

To be a budget Inn the place is ok.5 minutes walk from the MRT North Point station, many local restaurants around. For sure the room is tiny, but the staff at the reception is super friendly and very helpful.

Second visit to this place, everything still remain very ok, clean room, clean toilet, clean and good quality of duvet, pillow is a bit high and the mattress is quite too soft hence hitting a back pain. By Hong kong standard yes the room is small as it was everywhere else but i feel the share room for 2 is quite nice, still privacy with what we pay. Location is great, quite near the airport bus stop, 5 mins to MTR and plently of local food in the area. Will going back and would recommended this hostel.
