Upper House exceeded all our expectations. My daughter was going to Hong Kong for her birthday and we gave her a stay at the Upper House as a birthday present, little did she know we had decided to fly to Hong Kong to surprise her there as well. We coordinated with the hotel and the surprise was flawless, she was speechless. Our room as incredible, with beautiful views of the Hong Kong harbor. The hotel was very generous and upgraded my daughter to a suite that was absolutely breathtaking as well. The entire staff was attentive to our every needs, they helped get reservations at several restaurants and took care of booking day activities we requested as well. We followed several hotel recommendations and they were all spot-on. I very much look forward to returning to Hong Kong and Upper House soon. Highly recommend it! Thank you all so much for everything!

We had a great time and was very exceptionnel staff. Spacious rooms, great design, very comfortable beds. Fantastic views of Hong Kong. Perfect location. Upscale restaurant with mouth watering food! Will definitely be back! We really recommend it!

This visit marked a return to Hong Kong. The Upper House was an excellent choice in all aspects: architectural symmetry, stunning views, spacious luxurious rooms, and a staff that treated us with special regards to our needs. Tariq, Guest Experience Manager, put us at ease immediately. And others of the staff also were generous with their time. They never seemed put upon to answer questions. The restaurant and bar were excellent as well. Regrettably, we had to leave after six days, but we left thinking the "house" had been our home- complete in the zen of movement and comfort. My partner and I will miss being there. If our travels take us to Hong Kong again, the Upper House will be at the top of our list. Dr. Colleen McElroy

We had the most incredible experience from the minute we entered the hotel until we checked out. The hotel is lovely, the view is spectacular and the service we received was above and beyond our expectations. Janice made my birthday celebration special! She was such a thoughtful person to arrange such personal details that I appreciated so very much. This is a truly 5 star hotel!!! Thank you for making our Asia trip unforgettable and magnificent!!!

I've stayed at the Upper House several times a year for the last seven years or so, and have absolutely loved every visit. The rooms are chic, well-appointed and luxurious. I'm always left wishing I had built more time into my itinerary to simply enjoy my room - from the stunning harbour views to the decadent bath, I could easily spend a day without leaving the property. You'll want for nothing during your stay- the room is stocked with sumptuous bath products, a great accouterments kit and the maxi bar is the best thing ever. When I do venture out, I love the proximity (steps away!) to a serious luxury shopping experience at Pacific Place. And it's central location in Hong Kong makes the Upper House a convenient taxi ride away from just about everything. Finally, the service at the Upper House is unparalleled. From the moment you make your reservation you receive what I would call "six star" service - it's always above and beyond. The team considers every detail to ensure a first-rate stay. I've traveled the world and stayed in many, many hotels; but from my first visit, the Upper House captured and has since kept status as my favorite in the world.

Three night stay in a harbor view room on the 43rd floor. Flawless from airport pickup to airport drop off. Check in is done in the room, every need is anticipated -- for example, I casually mentioned to the gentleman checking us in that we were doing a day trip to Macau the following day and thought no more of it. A few hours later, a comprehensive package of information about Macau showed up in the room. This property is up there with the finest around. Only funky aspect (which other have also noted) is the dark escalator ride to the elevators. Definitely now our "go to" place in HK.

The Upper House is high-end but unconventional in the most splendid fashion. Its highly personalised, and importantly sincere, service is second to none in Hong Kong and combine that with rooms that ooze a sophisticated Japanese influence and you have a sanctuary from the chaos that I love about Hong Kong but also an authentic international feel. Their penthouse restaurant and bar is social, very Hong Kong but inimate at the same time. And when you want to throw yourself in to Hong Kong their staff and concierge, actually anyone you find at front desk, will only too happily provide you with the latest restaurants and bars and not just "the standard list". My wife and I were touched by the attention to detail that they provided us both and with such genuine service passion. Unique, personal and tranquil is how I would describe the Upper House and it will always be the "house" I seek when I want to stay in Hong Kong and feel truly cared for. John Albrecht

This was our second long weekend at The Upper House in Hong Kong this year - and it was absolutely awesome!! The service begins as soon as you make the reservation - they sent me a really thorough list of restaurants in Hong Kong they recommend, and also touristy type activities. I chose several restaurants for the weekend and they were amazing at helping us to get in to all of them - one of which was extremely hard to get in to with only a few weeks notice, and the other where they don't take reservations, but we were placed at the top of their priority list for the night!! Transfers from the airport and all of our other needs along the way were extremely ably taken care of by the outstanding Guest Relations Team - they were incredible!!! We were greeted on arrival by the GM of the hotel Marcel, who was also incredibly generous with his time and willingness to help us with anything we needed - he really sets the tone for the hotel and ensures that his guests feel like they are coming 'home'!!!!. The rooms are very simple in design, but beautiful, comfortable and with amazing views. The bathrooms I'm sure are the biggest of any equivalent city hotel in the world. We had breakfast and lunch in the restaurant - no buffet in site which I loved - and the food was excellent!! The hotel is not cheap, but I have found that you generally get what you pay for in life, and this place is definitely very good value for money.

The Upper House is a beautiful zen hotel in a bustling vertical city, Hong Kong. The hotel is located on the top floors of a 40+ story building. Many of the rooms have spectacular views of the water and Kowloon and of Victoria Peak. It is easy to explore the financial and shopping district and the waterfront from the hotel...and take the tram up to Victoria Peak. The rooms are furnished in calming neutral furnishings. I had a suite which had magnificent views in multiple directions and was very spacious. The bathroom soaking tub and shower had great views as well. The service I experienced was very attentive, well, outstanding. The bar/restaurant on the top of the hotel served excellent food and had great views in all directions. I tried several new, to me, asian dishes and they were perfectly prepared and delicious. Perhaps the biggest surprise was the garden at the Upper House. It was a perfect place to have cocktail in the late afternoon and enjoy the sunset outside in an incredibly peaceful spot. For a time I had it all to myself. All in all the hotel was perfect!

A very private and quiet high rise hotel. It feels more like a posh residence than a commercial establishment. There's no lobby to speak of - just a small reception counter. Felt very much like an Aman. Natural materials in the interior design, huge suites and fantastic views of the harbour. The service was exceptional. I was really surprised when they offered us use of the hotel car for our dinner reservation when they saw that there were no taxis in the queue. The bar/restaurant on the top floor has great views as well. The hotel has a small gym and library but no other amenities. Its situated on top of a huge shopping mall in pacific place though so there's plenty of entertainment nearby. It's a quick 10 min walk to wan chai and central setting off in either direction from the hotel. Not sure if I would try that in the summer but it made for a pleasant stroll in winter. Otherwise Admiralty MTR station can be accessed from pacific place.
