The hotel room is standard. But the location is good, only a few steps away from times square shopping mall and MTR station. So it would be easier for you and your companions to move around the city. Food is not an issue. There are so many food stall around the hotel.
Taxi dropped me at Times Square as he can't find the hotel! I walked 30 mins one big round and at last found the hotel just opposed Times Square. Spacious room with one two seater sofa. Choices of breakfast set to choose but normally the waiter will push you to choose western set . Room spacious enough and water pressure good for bathing. Hotel rate a bit pricy.
As it's name says it is an express hotel. If you've come expecting mandarin oriental service and frills then this hotel is not for you. The rooms sizes were not as small as expected and there was even a sofa in the room. The rooms are neat and tidy but in need of updating. The toilet had many unidentified stains on the walls and door. The toilet is in dire need of an update. Many Rust spots & mouldy patches. The hotel lobby is up an escalator on a lane behind Times Square. The location is excellent, walking distance to the MTR, shops & many good eateries. The location of the hotel would be the only reason why I would return. A lot needs to be done to the condition of the rooms, especially the toilet. Another point to note, the hotel does not require a key card to access the guest room levels.
The rooms were surprisingly spacious with a sofa bed and free local phone usage. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Bring your own toiletries if you don't like strong smelling bath gels. View not wonderful because it's facing the back of Times Square but oh so convenient fo r shopping.
I had a good stay here. The hotel staff is accommodating and friendly. Easy acces to all the places i want to visit. Food is right next door. Malls is right next door too. Everything is just around the area.
this is our first time in causeway bay my daughter booked us here service is good room is clean with amenities staff is polite the price is good the place is near to the mall and shop 👍👍👍👍 the food is delicious in the coffee shop
I stay in this hotel 20-25 nights a year or roughly 4-5 trips equivalent mainly because of its location. It provides a clean and comfortable room complete with all the basic essentials. The friendly and efficient hotel personnel helps too. On my last few trips I did noticed some changes and when I enquire, it seemed the Management team has changed. I noticed the elevators are traveling at slowly speed. I also noticed that there's another quality restaurant that has opened up on the lobby level, Starz Kitchen. This restaurant is a partnership between Alan Tam and Hacken Lee, which serves good quality and tasty food at reasonable price. However, the internet in the hotel sucks and at best intermittent. This is really a problem for me as I need to connect to work. In the past, one has to register but now anyone can just log in and this i believe has slowed down the speed. If not for the helpfulness of the hotel personnel, I would not recommend this hotel as internet connection is very important this day. Hopefully they can improve on this very important aspect of the hotel service.
great location near big shopping mall and restaurants but terrible, uneducated staff for both reception and reservation. called to book 2 rooms last month, the lady call stephy something from reservation department ? i forgot her name, cant accept her terrible attitude ! she even yelled me on phone! and reception as well ! no smile and terrible service ! i will not come back again ! never ever !
I stayed at 2601 and the carpet is extremely disgusting and it seems the staff is aware of this mess but decided to overlook the problem for the sake of full occupancy. I was giving a new room after two rounds of complaint calls with front desk...BUT.... Are you freaking kidding me?
Location, location, location: Across the street from Times square (thru Lane Crawford entrance) Around the corner into Times Square, escalator down to walk to MTR station. Tram station close by. Can walk or take tram to Happy Valley racecourse for races on most Wednesday evenings. Short walk to a 24 hrs McDonald's. Wide variety of restaurants and food places are within walking distance. Enter thru Lane Crawford, take the escalator down to ‘City Super’ supermarket, has everything one could need, fresh fruit, fruit juices, and a food court serving various dishes, salads, Japanese curry and much more. Taxi from airport over $400 HKD, depending on time of day and luggage. Take escalator up to lobby. Smooth check in, friendly staff. Room: Clean and reasonable size. Hot water pot/tea bags/coffee. Handy phone, best thing ever, extremely useful with hot spot, thank you! Bathroom clean and decent size. Hand soap dispenser by the sink. Shower gel/shampoo dispenser in shower. Bring own conditioner and lotion. Umbrella in room for use during stay, very helpful. Had some minor issues, contacted front desk, were resolved promptly. Breakfast: Starz Kitchen (independently operated) Need to bring voucher. Wait to be seated, present voucher to server, select set. Shared tables when busy, try to get there at opening 7am. The menu: (photo came out fuzzy, hence the description) “All sets are served with Fresh fruit, Fruit juice and Coffee or Chinese Tea” Upon seating the orange fruit juice is set in front, you are asked tea or coffee and it is presented in steel mugs. Order your ‘Set’ breakfast. Fresh fruit is an apple. Options: Set A: Western Style: Scrambled eggs with Chicken Sausage, Ham & Croissant (didn’t care for the sausage or ham). Set B: Western Style: Cornflakes with Cool Milk & Scrambled Egg w/Croissant ( a few corn flakes swimming in a bowl of cold milk ). Set C: Chinese Style: Congee with Dried Scallops, Chinese Fried Flour Stick & Steamed rice flour rolls (Did not try) Set D: Hong Kong Style: Hong Kong Style Fried Rice Noodles & Steamed Beef Balls (Did not try) Set E: Vegetarian: Plain Congee with Whole Wheat Bread and Yogurt (didn’t care for it) Take Away: Western Style: Oat Bran & Scrambled Egg with Croissant Yes, the ‘Take Away’, my best option, warm porridge like oat bran, comes with juice but no coffee. So, I would go down, ask for ‘take away’, come back up to room, make coffee and have breakfast. One morning I asked the manager if i could have that breakfast in the restaurant; he said, ‘ok, we will do it for you.’ This was great! Next morning, I asked for the take away set for dine in; the server said it was for take away only, i said ask the manager...he did, the manager said ok, but seemed annoyed. The following morning, annoyance level was up, could be seen on everyone's face, like they wanted me to stop: Message received. For the rest of my stay, I went back to my system of coming down, ordering take away, back up to room, make coffee and have breakfast. What a waste of time! All in all a good stay. Check out was fast and smooth. Guard helped get taxi at departure, thank you so much!
