Booked a king room, but on arrival was told there were no rooms available with king beds. She unapologetically offered two queen beds. I work in the hotel industry, so I understand overbooking, but you don’t offer to downgrade a guest when this comes up! When the desk clerk realized that I was ready to walk away, magically a king suite appeared. Amazing how that happens. Disappointing, as that should’ve been the initial response to the over-booking. After checking in, I overheard another family checking in being refused the king bed room they reserved as well- wonder what they settled for. Room was nice, new, and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Staff could use some training and some smiles, but overall not a bad stay at all.

We stayed here the night before bridge walk . This hotel was a easy check in and are room was awesome 👍👍. Are bed was comfortable and we loved the shower . Newer hotel and everything is so nice . Breakfast was great ! lots to choose from . If in the area we will stay here for sure 😊

We stayed here one night when we played golf at Treetops. Close enough to the course and very close to downtown Gaylord for evening walking and dinner. Lots of options in the area. Maybe a little pricey for being up north Michigan but it was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and accomodating.

Extremely clean and well-kept hotel. Clearly designed for comfort. Quiet rooms. Staff is friendly and helpful. Great breakfast. Pool is nice but no hot tub 😕. Spacious lobby area. Close to downtown area, but not within walking distance. Just far enough off the busy M-32 on the weekends.

The staff here is really awesome as long as you aren’t a jerk to them!!! Upgraded my room without charge and just took the best care of me in general!!! Beds are super comfortable and if you get a chance book a room with a jetted tub for some great relaxation!!

I stay here on business frequently and have had consistent good treatment. The management cares for their customers and are quick to satisfy needs. I highly recommend this establishment. The breakfast is always good.

We stayed two nights on a ski trip to Boyne Mountain. It is an easy 20-25 minute drive to the mountain. This is quite possibly the nicest HIE we have stayed at. Staff was polite and room was great. It was nice having two queen beds instead of two doubles. I will mention our room was on the side of the expressway and the noise was never an issue for us. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

We checked in late one snowy night. Desk help could not have been more helpful and gracious. Room was clean and well furnished. Breakfast was HI Express, but a cut above due to the attitude of the lady in charge. Smiling and cheerful and frequently singing! And she could SING!

There is no doubt that this place is quite new and modern, but the rooms facing the highway are very loud. For a new hotel, I would have thought they put walls and windows that are sound proof but I guess I was wrong. Year ear plugs with you.

We enjoyed our stay completely. Becky checked us in and was friendly and enjoyable. When we got to our room, there was a small problem which they solved immediately and graciously. We enjoyed the brightness of the halls, the cleanliness and the breakfast had plenty of options including pancakes, omelets, many types of bread, and yogurt. Check out was smooth.
