The bedding was very comfortable but it was not very comfortable in the room as there was no air conditioning and we stayed here the first week of July. I was bitten 3 times by a mosquito while checking in at the lobby. There is often NO front desk staff at the building where we stayed. Had to drive to nearby Glacier Lodge to check in and out. This facility is too far from the restaurants and main highway to be recommended.
All in all staying at the palliser lodge was pleasing experience.
Pleasantly surprised by our room at the Palliser Lodge. The spacious room was like a one bedroom condo with a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, living room with fireplace, large bedroom and bathroom with shower and separate tub. This was a great place to relax, do laundry and enjoy the surroundings. Would recommend this place to anyone stopping in Golden. The only negative is that like other reviewers, we arrived after 6 pm and there was no one around to check us in. Not many guests stay here at this time of year (late Sept.) and it did seem somewhat deserted. Other than that our stay was great.
