Hotels in East Fort Lauderdale

"Beach view was awesome! Room was beautiful with a couple of worthy coments. The bed I was in was so slanted-the mattress was bad so that really affected my sleep. I finally got to sleep sometime after 3 and an alarm went off at 6 (probably set by the previous renters). We complained to the staff about the mattress and they immediately moved us to another room and our second room had perfect beds. Please tell the staff that cleans, to check the alarm. That one night of lost sleep really affected the rest of my short vacation. I'm 70 and sleep is really important to me. I was so severely exhausted- it ruined my trip. Why do none of the rooms have a microwave. That should be in every room! "

"No soap in the bathroom or body wash in shower. Replaced with WATER and not soap. Charged for stuff I never should have been charged for. Arriving hotel staff sent me to another tower without even giving us a room number on the card. Went back and the second time she gave us the wrong room number. Finally after multiple attempts we got to our room. Very loud party’s going on around us. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Don’t recommend this hotel at all"

"This place is nothing like the pictures. You can tell right away but the old carpet and style in the lobby with old smell and outdated check in desk. Check in girl not friendly either. She made sure to reinforce about paying for parking and “resort fees” and wanted DL of *both* people checking in. Never heard of that before. Usually it’s the person whose name is on the reservation. We are not young spring breakers either. As soon as I walked in the room I thought the window was open but in reality the window didn’t shut all the way. The couch was sunk in and old looking and looked like something from the 80’s. I wouldn’t sit on it. The bed also sunk in the middle. Flimsy pillows. Worst nights sleep of the whole vacation. After paying almost $300 then you pay in addition a “resort fee” and parking which is ludicrous as they have a parking lot and what do you get for the “resort fee?” Certainly not coffee in the lobby. A tired coffee machine that looks like from a gas station that you have to pay for coffee. It is a money grab. What happened to hotel stays including amenities and parking? And the amenities were a pool which we didn’t use anyway. Shouldn’t “amenities” be included in the price? Across the street the resort on the beach was the same price and beautiful! To think we paid a lot for a tired old 80’s version of a hotel with subpar rooms and not friendly staff with a horrible night sleep is a huge bummer. I do not recommend this place at all. "
